The Garrett AXT is a good Lower priced Pulse Induction option that is basically a turn on and go detector (a good option for newbies). I give Bearkat4160 credit for keeping both machines with similar sized Double D coils on each one for this video. But for starters Fine gold was designed for the Mono loop coils (I was actually surprised fine gold being optimized for mono coils worked with the dd coil, as the manual and training video's recommend against using the two together as you end up with a doubling of the ground canceling from each one separately costing you depth when used together). A better way to compare the GPX with the DD coil would be in Normal timing and/or Sensitive Extra timing (designed for the DD coils use). Yes the GPX5000 is more complicated to use than the AXT, But once you fully understand the Minelab GPX settings and set up the machine correctly about the only machine that will out perform the GPX5000 is the newer GPZ7000 for depth and the SDC2300 on supper small stuff. I am confident that the GPX5000 using the 11" dd coil and with the threshold set correctly in the Sensitive Extra timing with out any further fine tuning of the other optional settings would have easily nailed all of the target nuggets in this video. One of the additional benefits of the GPX5000 over the ATX is it's flexibility if you understand how to select the appropriate settings for the coil being used and the ground you are working, where the ATX has primarily just all metal mode or discriminate mode to chose from with adjustable sensitivity (Garrett, Whites and some minelab machines, also known as Gain in Minelab GP/GPX terminology). Yes the ATX is less complicated, but it is also much more limited if it's user is in a difficult area to work. I am not knocking ether machine, just simply stating that they both have their place in this great hobby. As far as a turn on and go Pulse Induction machine that is reasonably priced the Garrett ATX is definitely worth a look at. The ATX was never originally meant to be a direct competitor for the GPX5000, it was made as a lower priced alterative for those who wanted a GPX's performance v.s. a VLF (Very Low Frequency) machine but couldn't afford one to still be able to get a P.I. Machine.
In Bearkat4160's newer video "Don't use Fine Gold on GPX 5000 vs Garrett ATX" at about 0:30 seconds into the video he even states that he recommends using the Sensitive Extra timing. ua-cam.com/video/nKUO6ag_ZHs/v-deo.html Bearkat4160 also has this video showing both machines options to choose from. "Mono Coil on GPX 5000 vs Garrett ATX DD - Part 4" ua-cam.com/video/v0nALoYUf24/v-deo.html Here is Bearkat4160's depth test of both machines on a larger nugget at depth. "5.4 oz Gold Nugget test - Garrett ATX vs Minelab GPX 5000" ua-cam.com/video/3JUuVq80Sgw/v-deo.html
though I had some problem with sea water It also ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxa-FNYUOM93a388gi9a4brtSCEVmrHgJH land for finding any things very easily. (thought it would work as normal due to it being water proof within certain parts of the detector), on dry land and sand worked well. My first one, so still have lots to learn
Thanks for the time you have taken to set up this comparison Bearkat - much appreciated mate! I'm sure you have noticed that the ATX runs with a much more stable threshold and cleaner operation in all conditions - stable threshold means you won't miss the 'whispers'. Happy prospecting! Warren.
Hey Bearkat4160 ... good to accidentally run across this old video today. It was this video and the full complete test series you did on the SDC2300, that made me switch brands and go with the ATX. I have all 3 coils for it and was still under $2500. Thanks Bearkat!!
Yes I totally agree it is very complicated to the uninitiated, it took me well over 6 months to come to grips with my first GP detector. Things that did help me along the way was the free minelab training days offered to new buyers well worth the time to do since you have spent well over $5000. Joining a detector club where most users own a some kind of minelab detector and picking there brains about how they setup thier machines. Most of the GPX series have more settings than the spaceshuttle but at the end of the day you will most likely only use a half a dozen of those settings and adjust them to suit the ground you searching. Dont give up on the 5000 as of yet once you get it tuned and setup right it will blow that ATX out of the ground. Cheers Nuggetmann
it's funny with the prices now that minelab re released the gpx 4500 making it cheaper than the atx here in australia. But i have to say your test sort of missed the point of why you need a pi machine by testing in that sand, you probably would of hit those targets better with your at gold vlf machine in that ground? Oh and did you have any threshold on? i cant hear it in this video so i cant hear if the minlab hit those targets or not cause its sometimes only a slight threshold pull heard not those big screamer signals you were getting. cheers and thanks for the video :)
Just saw your video. Can you believe that people are actually paying $5000+ for the mine lab??? Garret is the way to go. Always has been. Years ago I had a Garrett ground hog and was prospecting in Australia. Found loads in places that had already been done dozens of times by other prospectors using whites (the other metal detector of choice in the 80's) the garrett is a superior product, more robust and less complicated. Exactly what you want when your hundreds of miles from nowhere in the Australian outback. I've spent years away from Australia due to my job, but I'm heading back soon, still have the gold bug and I know exactly where I'm going to head with my brand new ATX........
Bearcat4160 Just saw the video and read some comments below, This is just what we need to see, comparisons. You spent the time setting this all up AND made a video for us so thank you for that and now I think I am looking into the ATX much further when I make my final decision when buying. Keep those videos coming and the best of luck to you . DS in California.
I'd like to see a comparison with both detectors tuned / configured / optioned to their absolute peak. The best the Garrett ATX can produce V the best the Minelab GPX5000 can produce. Regardless of the cost of extra coils etc, most of us are prepared to pay whatever it costs to get the most out of our detector when it comes to finding gold. Thanks
Buenas tardes esta muy bueno tu análisis lo malo que no se el ingles y tu video no tiene la opción de traducción lo que estas hablando por favor considéralos la traducción para poder entenderte hasta pronto
looked clear enough...you better sell the mine lab..just kidding GARRET ATX. WINS... for sure....AND .I Think you do a great job on your videos,,, you sold me on it.and just looking at this GARRETT ATX AND IT LOOKS GREAT.....THANK YOU....GOOD JOB........I just bought the Garrett AT PRO found silver ring 1st time out with it....Plus 63 cents......
Bearkat. I have been detecting for 35 years in Australia and have used most detectors ever made. You are absolutely correct in saying that the 5000 is far too complex and leaves too much room for error when trying to set it up. There is no setting that suits all sizes and depths of nuggets. I have no doubt that there are pro detector operators that really know what they are doing but that probably accounts for 1% or less of operators and even they miss gold. Yes many will leave gold in the ground. Although I have not used an ATX I must add that Minelab could certainly learn from Garrett about making a user friendly detector that everyone could use without all the what I call 'Giggle switches.' They really are a waste of electronics.
I'm looking for a detector that can go as deep as 7m and the target size as big as a fridge. Which detectors are supposed to work in that depth? Thanks
Don't Pulse machines always go deeper, but you dig up 1/2 the beach ? This is confusing. I live in georgia where we have iron rich red clay, and then sand near the beach. I scuba so I bought an Excalibur 2, which is pretty worthless on dry land - only because it beeps at everything !
Great and very fair test. Thank you very much for this video which was VERY helpful to decide which brand that I will be buying real soon. Again I am grateful for this post.
James Wilson your a dickhead. Fuck beaches....we aren't talking about finding lost change. We are talking about detecting multi ounce gold nuggets in highly mineralised ground in the goldfields
Well I have a big smile. I bought an ATX las summer and really like it. Thanks for the video. I ordered with the 11x13 DD enclosed coil. What are your thoughts on getting a 8” mono for the ATX?
I would really like to see how the large mono coil does on the ATX! I'm really thinking about selling my minelab and getting an ATX after watching this video!!!!!
Dont do that that, is not a fair test with different coils and after this test i purchased Garrett AT gold that he tested with after this and proved that AT gold picked both small and large target and now i have send back the Garrett that could not pick 2.5 gr nugget at 10 cm depth
Not a good idea mate. Minelab is the best in the world for a reason. Here in Australia you don't see any other detectors. With a nugget Finder 12" mono coil you will pick up fly specs at 6" deep.
For $5000 the damn thing should do all the walking, detecting, and digging. For the amount of the price difference, you would think that the Minelab had some super patented, or even magic technology, that the others just can't figure out? The price is obscene. I have been looking at buying a pair of detectors, and these are both way out of my price range. It's tough to find anything, because I don't want to waste money on a so so pair of detectors. Even the AT Pro is well above my range. So am I going to have to settle for the ACE 250's? I've looked at so many on ebay, and that's what I come up with. Can you give me your expert advice? Thanks
Thank you for the great show. My mind is spinning with all the options out there, and this helped a lot. Was actually considering the GPR Radar Exp 4000, but with a price of 10k (basic) to 24k (pro), this brings me back down out of outer space, lol. Thanks again.
You just saved me $3,900 dollars by this video man, thanks!!! May I ask how you goot a GPX 5000 though? That's a lot of money to put down on a detector and im not saying you cant afford it, you know what I mean though? Not everyone can afford to make a video like this with $8,400.00 in detectors!
After change of sequencing, the soil must be compensated with groundbalance, 6:01, you are using the gpx 5000 detector badly. the double disc D, is used in areas heavily mineralized. areas moderately mineralized or not, you must used a mono disc. without forgetting to calibrate the gpx 5000 detector with autotune! before starting any detection. we do not compensate the ground above the target, it is next to the target that must compensate the ground!, 12:17
Thanks, makes me feel, I did good on ordering the ATX ( couldn' afford the Minelabs with similar performance, but wy pay 2-3 times the ATX for that anyway)
HI. I AM PLANNING to buy ATX. but i see different prices for different coils sizes. what do u recommend to buy. i like to look for small and big nuggets. also can 20" coil search for buried treasure? thank you in advance
Nice review, I find minelabs have too many settings and options. Good to see the garrett atx is relatively a switch on and go machine. Thanks for the video mate.
Yes the GPX 5000 is a good relic hunter - a bit expensive for that I think. Infinium, Whites TDI or ATX would do just as well but for a bit cheaper price.
I subscribed, thanks for the video. I use the AT Pro with video's and will do a few with the ATX that a local distributor is loaning me to try out in the salt water here in Miami.
I was at Rye Patch. A guy with a Minelab SDC 2300 shows me a gold nugget he had just found. My ATX Pro would not detect it with either coil right up against the gold! I was pretty ticked off and tried adjusting sensitivity, disc and resetting to factory settings. Nothing. I got out my White's GMT (just got back from the factory for this same problem) even 3" away from the gold nugget and again with a rock on top of the nugget, I was getting a loud zip zip detecting yhe gold nugget.
+TimoKa I found a nugget at Rye Patch about half the size of a grain of rice at 3"-5" with my GPX4500 and the stock DD coil. I'm currently researching for the best mono coil, if you have any suggestions.
What would you recon the huge deepseeker coil would have its limits? I mean what would you miss when using it? 2g at 4inches? ,, I know you dont have the deepseeker coil , but you must have more info on it than me,, i hope.
I'm from New Jersey and just bought a Nokta Golden Sense detector.Great detector.Nokta just came out with a detector for gold nuggets. The Nokta FORS detector. You can see them at Kellyco.Definitely worth looking into for $1100.
I would have to disagree. Running same/similar coils and settings isn’t a true comparison. Two totally different detectors need to be run with their coil and settings of choice.
NOT A FAIR TEST. You are obviously not familiar with the GPX 5000 My observations. Didn't ground balance especially after changing timings. Threshold to low. SEE MANUAL"When the Threshold is too high a faint signal is masked and only the peak of the loud signal is audible above the Threshold. Coil to far of the ground." Fine Gold is optimised for Mono Coil not DD you should have used Salt Gold if the ground permitted.I know you think you were trying to be fare by using the DD on both but your timing selection has resulted in poor performance. Gain 15. did you have Stabiliser on 15 to? If so would have been less sensitive on small gold. What were the other settings eg Signal Peak ,Target Volume ect? It also goes without saying that the DD has about 20% less depth than a Mono. If your looking for gold you should always use a Mono with the 5000 unless you want so Iron reject ability.
I used the DD on the GPX because the ATX has a DD coil, that is clear why I did so in the video and at 30 seconds into the video I make fun of people like you making stupid comments. I always ground balance after I switch settings...you did not watch the entire video from your comments. Don't make uninformed comments unless you watch the entire video and know what your talking about!
Hello bearkat. Im from Malaysia. Is it normal when everytime i swing my ATX and hit grass or gnd and it will make sounds even after gnd balance? Sens is 10 and treshold is 1.
+Bearkat4160 Haha! yeah no probs at mate. Personally I have an ATX. Awesome here in Victoria......i know how capable they are i just like to stick it to all the minelab haters. love your vids bud. keep it up. Cheers Ben.
Maybe In USA it works but in Australia the atx is garbage. Just to get it to run somewhat stable the sensitivity has to be set at 3 or 4 which means no bloddy depth and on top of that if the coil even touches a bit of shrub it gives a false signal. Total garbage not worth a dollar
"Minelab GPX is 5,000 a half Wolf, ideal for a long time they have ugly (Hill discrimination, especially Badger, ball)." -Bing Well, that was what Bing thought. I think that for the money, the ATX is better, however, if the sky is the limit for the price, go with the GPX 5000.
Maybe if I sold 3 of my detectors and saved up, I could buy a Garrett ATX. I did put a 15" F5 coil on my Fisher Gold bug pro and detected a quarter 12 inches buried in sand. ( New Mexico sand) Different frequencies (coil and GBpro ) but it worked. But very heavy!! Thanks!
Learn how to use the GPX before comparing it to the ATX. My Minelab GPX 4500 would have screamed at all of those targets even in factory settings with both it’s standard 11inch DD and mono coils in sand. In the mineralised goldfields of Australia? That ATX DD coil would only come in handy as an expensive rake to remove leaf matter before detecting with any of the Minelab machines from the vintage SD2000 to the GPX5000. As for the Minelab SDC2300 and GPZ7000? They’re in another league. We import great tech like the F-35 Steath fighter from the US into Australia but we export the worlds best metal detection tech from Minelab. Cheers
I'm disappointed in both machines, if I paid 2k plus it better pick up at 1 to 10 in no matter the size. I would be sick after spending $5,000 for a md that didn't pick up at 2 inches. With that said I'm still getting the CTX3030. Thanks for the vid.
I bought a CTX3030, I cannot stand it. It is heavy, it sucks for swinging in water. I have 250 hours on it and I am done. It is going up for sale next week. I love my AT Pro.
After much more research, I'm sticking with my X Terra with added coils. For water hunting I'm going with the Detector Pro Headhunter. With the two machines and additional coils, I'm way under $2,500 and a HH. Thanks again you've been very helpful. GL&HH
I'm from New Jersey and just bought the Nokta Golden Sense metal detector.I also own a White's VX3.The White's is good but the GS beats it in depth.I took a chance buying the GS and I'm not sorry.I'll put it up against the GPX5000 or the Garrett ATX.Too bad there are no gold nuggets in New Jersey.Nokta just came out with a detector just for hunting gold nuggets also at about $1100.I'm probably one of the few people in USA who was willing to buy a Nokta.I also got a Nokta pin pointer which is really good.Just thought I'd pass this info to anyone willing to read it.
Do I need a MONO coil for ATX ? What do I lose with a MONO coil ? If you were buying a New detector, $2500 is top of my Budget. What would you purchase? I am going to Hunt in Montana
I would get an ATX with their new designed closed coils, DD coil on that machine is a little more sensitive than the mono, but the mono goes a little deeper on bigger items. I can get you good deal on an ATX.
I am getting ready to retire, I have a few things to work out.. But yeah I believe this will do good in Montana.. and the ocean.. where ever I end up >.. I will keep watching your videos .. Thanks, Jim is what I go by..
What's your favorite "go-to" machine? Liked your series where you compared the ATX to the Minelab SDC 2300. What do you gain by spending so much more that you would for a Gold Bug 2?
Wow, the minelab people going crazy on here . So let’s say the test was one sided, which it wasn’t , and machines are at least equal. The ATX is still way cheaper and less complicated to operate . Not everyone can spend 5 grand on a detector . Some of us must accept that and go with a cheaper alternative. For myself I think I’ll be purchasing the GTX , more bang for the buck .And by the way , gold hunting isn’t a contest , it’s about relaxing and enjoying life .
Im sorry to say that the 5000 is not setup right you should be able to hear the threshole at all times. Turning the threshhole down so you cant hear it destroys the performance of the machine. I call it dummying it down, with a gain of 15 and above you can drown out the little ones. Not many people can tune 5000 to most grounds it like trying to learn how to tune a musical instrument that falls out of tune constantly. I get alot of people paying me to setup there machines if you like help just contact me on youtube be glad to help you out Nuggetmann. .
I think that is the problem with the 5000 - its TOO COMPLICATED! As you see in the video I just turned the ATX on and went at it and got all the nuggets, I rest my case.
The only real way to conduct these tests is have a Garratt Tech do the ATX Test and a Minelab Tech do the 5000 Test as then both men know exactly how to set there Machines up and then and only then will we know what each machine can really achieve
I definitely call a BS on that! But hey, if more of you will get the ATX, the more great finds i will get. lol. And in fact i will post our video from this weekend dig, just to show you what minelab can pick up and how deep. But for now people, go buy Garrett ATX. Please do, so you can complain to me about my GPX jamming your signal. rofl!
great machine fir gold Bearkat i agree. carnt wait for the next VLF machine from garret, enjoyed the AT GOLD on relic coin hunting. i need a machine with disc will go 15" on a coin =D

Wich model better minelab Garrett
Pls reply
I’d take the ATX any day , it’s as good as the minelab , simple to use and a heck of a lot cheaper

With DD coil ATX wins.
Still the Minelab GPX 5000 is the better machine.
Inconclusive tests. Gpx5000 is a beast in real situations.
Yes the gpx 5000is a beast just don’t use the DDcoil.
Good video! I love my ATX!
Buenas tardes esta muy bueno tu análisis lo malo que no se el ingles y tu video no tiene la opción de traducción lo que estas hablando por favor considéralos la traducción para poder entenderte hasta pronto
Thanks. I was almost ready to retch & grab the ATX. Reckon I will now. My AT Gold is an awesome little machine. I like Garrett.
why didn't you test the gold bug 2, i've read it's better than both of those specifically for finding gold.
looked clear enough...you better sell the mine lab..just kidding GARRET ATX. Who doesn't like double "DD" ?
I prefer "C" coils , they've got all the capabilities and when they get older they stand up better!😜

Good day. Please tell what device is better about depth:- Garret ATX or GARRET AT GOLD?
Thanks for taking the time to test, were you running the GPX in fixed or tracking?, cheers.
He doesn't know what he's doing Russell by the sounds of it
I bet tracking since he said he "lost" nuggets.
Great and very fair test. Thank you very much for this video which was VERY helpful to decide which brand that I will be buying real soon. Again I am grateful for this post.
The minelab will blow away the at in mineralised ground... Which is where you find gold... Not at the beach. Not much of a test
James Wilson your a dickhead.
Fuck beaches....we aren't talking about finding lost change.
We are talking about detecting multi ounce gold nuggets in highly mineralised ground in the goldfields
@James Wilson keep dreaming lol
At lást I discovered the best blower machine: me . when going work..money talks.
agreed
@James Wilson if your looking for gold 30 feet under the water you need to do your research...It isnt under 30 feet of water ..Try land
Well I have a big smile. I bought an ATX las summer and really like it. Thanks for the video. I ordered with the 11x13 DD enclosed coil. What are your thoughts on getting a 8” mono for the ATX?
My fave ATX coil is the 8” mono! Highly recommend…! Enjoy!
Great test would you also think swing speed does matter
Cant wait to get mine... Thank you again for all these great test vids .. good job !!
The second thing you'll be saying is Cant wait to get rid of it ..
I would really like to see how the large mono coil does on the ATX! I'm really thinking about selling my minelab and getting an ATX after watching this video!!!!!
why when he wasn't moving the mL at same speed
Dont do that that, is not a fair test with different coils and after this test i purchased Garrett AT gold that he tested with after this and proved that AT gold picked both small and large target and now i have send back the Garrett that could not pick 2.5 gr nugget at 10 cm depth

Thanks
Awesome video! Would love to see how the TDI SL fairs in that mix
The ATX is hotter on gold than the TDI, but very heavy 7lbs. TDI is a very good deep detector.
I'm a detector dealer so I get them a little cheaper than buying retail.
My gpx 4500 would pick that bit of foil in highly mineralised soil a foot and a half deep. Same price as the Atx.
That's with default settings.
Thanks, makes me feel, I did good on ordering the ATX ( couldn' afford the Minelabs with similar performance, but wy pay 2-3 times the ATX for that anyway)
The ATX looks like a upside down futuristic sniper rifle.
HI. I AM PLANNING to buy ATX. but i see different prices for different coils sizes. what do u recommend to buy. i like to look for small and big nuggets. also can 20" coil search for buried treasure?
thank you in advance
brother which of the two do you recommend the two please
Nice review, I find minelabs have too many settings and options. Good to see the garrett atx is relatively a switch on and go machine. Thanks for the video mate.
hi Bearkat. do you think GPX5000 is good for relics hunting, too? like silver/bronze coins, etc? thanks
Yes the GPX 5000 is a good relic hunter - a bit expensive for that I think. Infinium, Whites TDI or ATX would do just as well but for a bit cheaper price.
Bearkat have you tested the gold seeker from Ger?
Good test. Thank you. Just curious, how does the GPX5000 do with the 11" mono coil which is the other coil that comes standard with the machine?
He ws too scared to test it!
Hawkertempest1 Yeah,thats it lol
Hawkertempest1 I did the mono coil test in another video...here: Mono Coil on GPX 5000 vs Garrett ATX DD - Part 4
Cepholopod I did the mono coil test on another video...here it is: Mono Coil on GPX 5000 vs Garrett ATX DD - Part 4
I subscribed, thanks for the video. I use the AT Pro with video's and will do a few with the ATX that a local distributor is loaning me to try out in the salt water here in Miami.

Hello, is there a cheaper detector that compares to the Minelab GPZ 7000?
Since minelab makes there detectors in Australia I kinda think that minelab is kinda favored in Australia soil
Beautiful Video. What was your best find ever?
Regards from Germany
ZUG STEINER
disculpa la experiencia comparativa de Garrett atx gpx 5000 y un El DRS GROUND EXPER
me podrían orientar su experiencia y conveniencia
hi what kind of metal detector is the Garrett you were using
have you tried atx on salt water
excelente vídeo y que tal es el t2
Minelab Mono coil vs Garrett mono coil would be fantastic to see aswell. What ever the outcome. Yeah i know you dont have it .. yet.
MANDE UM TENHO CENTENAS DE SEGUIDORES QUERENDO COMPRAR
Why it wasnt treshhold on GPX? And you have to make Graund Balance on GPX after changing timings.
There is always threshold when I use the GPX...
also Garrett has better service for repairs
You say minilab found gold and your atx did not find?
How deep does this device go. I would appreciate if you help
Wow the minelab sucks for the price. Thanks for the video.Have you tried the ATX on a salt water beach yet?
What would you recon the huge deepseeker coil would have its limits? I mean what would you miss when using it? 2g at 4inches? ,, I know you dont have the deepseeker coil , but you must have more info on it than me,, i hope.
I would like to know the smallest nugget the big coil will find also...I will ask Garrett, maybe they will send me one to test!!
How metres does it work deep and length?
NOT A FAIR TEST. You are obviously not familiar with the GPX 5000
My observations.
Didn't ground balance especially after changing timings.
Threshold to low. SEE MANUAL"When the Threshold is too high a faint signal is masked and only the peak of the loud signal is audible above the Threshold.
Coil to far of the ground."
Fine Gold is optimised for Mono Coil not DD you should have used Salt Gold if the ground permitted.I know you think you were trying to be fare by using the DD on both but your timing selection has resulted in poor performance.
Gain 15. did you have Stabiliser on 15 to?
Bearkat4160 It is quite obvious that this is a biased test in favour of the ATX and Tricky Ric is only stating the obvious.
Wow a new GPX manual to use from you! Lol...to complicated that 5000...I like the ATX and new SDC 2300 much better.
So what machine did u find that little 'corn flake' with? The atx?
My 6" Keene Suction Dredge! Oh Yea...Love that machine.
How many depth with GPX 500o with a big target 10 x 10 cm?
Harganya berapa bang garet at yang biasa
Neves used ATX but I think that is the best designed metal detector ever!
look at the shadows, nobody looking for small gold swings a coil 3 inches above the ground
Hello bearkat. Im from Malaysia. Is it normal when everytime i swing my ATX and hit grass or gnd and it will make sounds even after gnd balance? Sens is 10 and treshold is 1.
Yes, unfortunately it is normal...
How about MD 6350 how deep is detect?
Hi Bearkat,
Great vid mate!!
Can you do a vid comparing 20 inch mono's on both machines or even the Gpx 7000 v ATX.
Cheers
Aussie.
+eyeopener1979 - I would love to, but I can't afford the Minelab GPX 7000! Geez, $10,000 - give me a break! lol
+Bearkat4160
Haha! yeah no probs at mate.
Personally I have an ATX. Awesome here in Victoria......i know how capable they are i just like to stick it to all the minelab haters.
love your vids bud.
keep it up.
Cheers
Ben.
To me the answer is clear; Garret takes the nugget!
If I remember correctly you can buy a mono coil for the garret as well.
Great video. Saving for the Garrett.
Wats are good cpx 500 vs garret ?
"Minelab GPX is 5,000 a half Wolf, ideal for a long time they have ugly (Hill discrimination, especially Badger, ball)."
-Bing
Well, that was what Bing thought.
Thanks!
Garrett ATX, cant wait to have one, will play around with AT gold and fisher gb first
Learn how to use the GPX before comparing it to the ATX.
Cheers
apples to apples. pretty fair test. happy prospecting!
GL&HH
Should also use the dirt cheap detectors see how they go
qual dos dois vc me recomenda?
Thanks for that info Frank. I will definitely look into that Nokta...
Can anyone give me an idea on underground reef gold detectors 5 to 50 metres
I did not even watch the video past the 32 second mark. Your comment between 0:28 to 0:32 showed me where you wanted this video to go LOL.
Maybe you should watch the rest of it...Mr. Judge-mental.
Thanks for more info

PS if you can let me know what I am looking at, so I can prepare.. bozeman1010@yahoo.com
i sell my garrett atx i ship in america for 2500$
What's your favorite "go-to" machine? Liked your series where you compared the ATX to the Minelab SDC 2300. What do you gain by spending so much more that you would for a Gold Bug 2?
My go to detector is my ATX, good is every situation! Gold bug 2 can really not perform well in hot dirt, then you got to get a pulse machine.
Finally good testing
hola amigos una consulta cuanto es elcosto del detector para aca colombia
Tablet Androi creo q esta en 800 dólares aquí en usa
Wow, the minelab people going crazy on here . So let’s say the test was one sided, which it wasn’t , and machines are at least equal. The ATX is still way cheaper and less complicated to operate . Not everyone can spend 5 grand on a detector . Some of us must accept that and go with a cheaper alternative. For myself I think I’ll be purchasing the GTX , more bang for the buck .And by the way , gold hunting isn’t a contest , it’s about relaxing and enjoying life .
Good video. If I did nugget hunting I would look at the the ATX.
That's good for ATX Garrett hard to believe man
Im sorry to say that the 5000 is not setup right you should be able to hear the threshole at all times.
Please do, so you can complain to me about my GPX jamming your signal. rofl!
muy buena demostración, siempre me gusto el Garrett ahora que veo tu video ,mas me gusta, mi próximo será el ATX, muchas gracias por el video, saludos
sdc2300 would have been screaming its guts out at all of those targets on standard settings - much cheaper too
what about leaf gold
great machine fir gold Bearkat i agree. carnt wait for the next VLF machine from garret, enjoyed the AT GOLD on relic coin hunting. i need a machine with disc will go 15" on a coin =D
Wich model better minelab Garrett
Pls reply
