Underrated I reckon, I did one last weekend with tacos for the kids, they loved it, last night made tacos with inside skirt, out of the park, love the vids mate
Just bought a bolar roast Aaron. Was gonna do it on the slow cooker but gonna try this and I concur, BTUs are BTUs. Save your pellets once wrapped. I do the same for brisket and shorties too. 🤜
Howdy mate , was one videos love your stuff , I’m doing this in Weber Chrissy day, going too use hickey for the smoke , how many chunks off hickey should I place on snake would you recommend ? Thanks mate
Hey Aaron, I have a Wagyu bolar roast to prep for Xmas lunch. The plan was dry brine for 24hours and smoke it. What internal temp would you take it too, for the best end product to be able to slice it, rather than pull it?
@@Ovaworked4x4 could roast/smoke it until medium rare around 55c or so internal like a roast. Or have tender slices like a brisket around 93c but might be challenging due to their shape.
@@LownSlowBasics cheers for the quick response It's about 125mm in the thickest part and about 2kg, what do you mean by "challenges"? Would it be better with the inter-muscular fat to go to the higher temp or will it render at the lower temper ok? Haven't cooked much wagyu before. Appreciate the help and advice 👍
I haven’t done a bolar roast in ages for pulled beef. Im a oyster blade man myself but I know bolar is cheaper and looking at this cook, still makes some killer pulled beef
Have you got any other ideas on what to do with a bolar roast? We got half a cow from my parents and there was a lot of bolar cuts with it and im struggling for ideas 😂
Every week the Same: 100 percent perfect BBQ!!! Thank you Aaron! Greetings Bernd
Thankyou Bernd. Hope you’re well!

Do you have any recipes for leftover brisket and pulled beef/pork?
Use as pizza toppings, in pasta, sandwiches, pies, tacos, nachos and more :)
I'm half a world away here in the US, what cut is that exactly? never heard of a bolar roast here but it looks like it came out great.
Maybe a blade roast over there?
Another great video! I’ve never heard of a bolar roast..is there another name or cut it goes by?
Blade roast too.
@@LownSlowBasics perfect..that one I am familiar with! 😁 I love your channel, you’ve taught me so much, thanks for the reply 🔥

Just one of the leaner muscles around the shoulder 🤘
