I have one of these sitting in my shed, has been there for over 30 years. considering seeing if i can do anything with it. It was freshly rebuilt right before it was parked there.
That 45 seems to be working great. I had one about 20 years ago. it worked good for me for 2 years and then became a money pit. Great find for you. Enjoyed this video.
Nice video. I see the main drive belt has shrunk so it runs in the off position. I hate it when it does that LOL Leave it in the on position over the winter.

I had 2 JD 45's
One was a JD 45 EB
They were both square backs
We used one for years. I still think we have the pick up attachment when we windrowed oats.
Your JD 45 combine works like a charm. What a lucky find! A great video. Thanks for showing.

Great Story, my uncle had one of those in the 60’ or early 70’s
Sometimes you get lucky with a barn find and it appears you hit the jackpot!!
👍👍
It all about the maintenance. 😊

My first combine was a John Deere 40 and I noticed the deluxe features that the 45 had vs the 40. Impressive machine overall and worth holding onto
I hard a 45 back in early 80's. it was laying in a field in Delta Co.I went thru the whole machine, and it was pretty damn neat.
Nice John Deere harvester
Just as good as a class 9 combine. That's what we say about ours. I'm sure yours is the same way. It sounds really good.
OBTW, nice barn find…
She's a beaut!!
Pretty cool that ya have a combine that only costed ya $400
I have a model 95 that I use
On dad's 1959 model 45 the unload auger folded up and over the grain tank. How wide is your header?
10ft
what did you use for seed and what do you think your yield was?
I think we bought from FS less than 50 bushels total from that field. It filled up the combine once ha
