I suffered from acid reflux 3 years ago. I have tried every method possible to alleviate or subdue it but it ends up being a temporary fix. Those methods included apple cider vinegar, HCL Betane with pepsin, baking soda with water, grating ginger in water and much more. None worked until I had my first cup of kefir. For the first time I can perform daily tasks normally and was able to get full 8-10 hour sleep. It's the process food that kills our good gut bacteria and kefir has saved my life. This stuff works!!!!!
Yes yes yes - _YES_ ! I was told that I was going to be on Lanseloc over the long term. I started making my own Kefir halfway through last October and it stopped dead like flipping a switch.
Hi Donna I experienced the benefits of water kefir since the very first day I started to drink it. my heartburn was making me miserable for years and I found no help in anything until I discover water kefir. I recommend it to anybody, is the best thing has happened to my health. I also had the treatment for H. Pillory and didn’t work. I haven’t dared to drink milk kefir because I’m lactose intolerant. I know that the kefir converts the lactose, but still as I said haven’t taken the chance.
I have been drinking kefir for 2 days and each time I get indigestion. Is there a way to drink it that it digests better? I added fruit. I drank it with my meal last night and got terrible indigestion.
Hi! I like to do lots and lots of research before I do any kind of podcast on certain health topics. So I will add this one to the list. But it may be a while!
I am currently on a very expensive acid reflux stomach medicine. I have a handful left, cannot get to my doctor they keep putting off my appointment. I dont have a gallbladder and I suffer greatly. I want off this medication but I've even tried ox bile to try to get off of it with no success. Any advice would be food for thought. Blessings!
Thank you so much for this information, you are a Godsend! Is kefir ok for lpr? I’m taking it, but worried that the acidic nature of it is damaging my throat and esophagus on drinking it. If I drank alkaline water afterwards, would this help at all, neutralise my throat/esophagus satisfactorily? Or maybe dilute to neutralise it with almond milk or similar? Also I may have a hiatus hernia, so would acid still come up into my esophagus/throat even if I took lots of kefir?I so want this to work. Any information greatly received 🙏
Angela I have LPR and I was worried about taking kefir too because it's very sour. I drank some last week and was ready to start coughing but nothing happened. I've been taking kefir every since then every day and I'm actually slowly starting to feel better.
@@lifestylewithnayab3942 in the end I had to discontinue the kefir. I didn’t get the full relief I was looking for and when I did my doctors check up my cholesterol was high (after making kefir with whole milk and drinking it twice a day). I tried kombucha which is no cholesterol but it’s quite sour.
Thank you for your explanation, I just watch your video "how to make kefir", in it you talked about second fermentation of kefir, I would like to know does this second fermentation make milk kefir have alcohol IN IT just like fruit kefir ?
All fermented foods have very very small traces of alcohol. But it should be very minimal if done correctly (about as much as orange juice or soda has) You are only adding in a small amount of fruit (less than 1/4 cup for a quart) for 2nd fermenting and I only 2nd ferment for a couple of hours so it wont cause it to be high in alcohol. Water Kefir also can remain extremely low in alcohol if done correctly.

i have gastritis but when i drank kefir on empty stomach, its like adding oil to the fire. i felt really bad like i have put acid in my stomach. So, i take double fermented Kefir during my meals and sometimes after 40 min of meals as a Kefir milk shake with some fruits. But really want to know what will be best for me to take Kefir during my gastritis recovery. it is really helping me recovering because its day 4 and i dont feel the need to take my medicine anymore. it was not doing me any good anyway. it just give me relief whenever i took it.
@@pkavenger9990 was it raw kefir milk or pasturazied ? So you prefer or suggest consume it after meal with 40 minutes ? By the way what were you eating throughout gastritis Journey ? Have you done an endoscopy and you were diagnosed with gastritis ?
@@markmaxwell4890 You cant make Kefir with pasteurized milk, it needs raw milk that has good bacteria alive in them. endoscopy is dangerous and unnecessary. If you feel pain in your solar plexus after eating spicy meals for over 2 weeks and it's not going away no matter what you try then you definitely have gastritis. if you have a history of stomach ulcers then this is also an indication of gastritis. I used the minimum amount of Kefir Milk and you have to stop taking it after some time. As far as my diet goes I ate most meals with soup and avoid the things that require more stomach acid to digest. I only ate when I felt hungry, otherwise, avoid unnecessary eating. I now eat 2 meals a day because my digestion is efficient. And the best time to take Kefir Milk is 3 hours after the meal and you can eat fresh fruits with it but like I said to start with less Kefir even with a tablespoon. And if you get gas don't worry it means that good bacteria are doing their job and that is eating bad fungus in your gut. eat green vegetables as well like brocoli spanich etc
