Warmly,
❤Donna❤
I used to drink coffee years ago but got away from it. After having success with regular kombucha I found a recipe for coffee kombucha. Oh yum. Started with one litre to make sure I had the recipe correct and now brew 2 litres. May have to make a larger continuous brew one. 🇨🇦❄️
I had never heard of course kombucha! Could you share your recipe?
My friend Susannah, a kombucha angel, who maintains many batches and recently does it with coffee, feels that the microbes actually eat up the caffeine. Is there any validity to this?
Candida in kefir eats caffiene. Candida in kefir doesn't cause candida overgrowth In your body tho so nothing to worry about on that.
This is what I needed to know. My naturopathic doctor wanted me to give up kefir and fermented food because I was exposed to black mold and had a candida infestation. I knew that was wrong. I have another ND now and she says to keep the fermented foods.
Did you do well with fermented food ? Katie ? I have candida too and gave up everything ugh I haven’t had coffee in three years
@@lisagardner4814 The fermented foods cured it, especially kombucha, but really all of the fermented foods. I'm now with a MD. She prescribed cholestyramine for the mold. I'm cured of that, too.
Ohhhh I could listen to you all day everyday!!! I am fermenting everything that doesn't move!!! I'm loving coconut kefir and trying to find some milk kefir grains.
haha I love this!! Fermenting everything that doesn't move. So happy you are having so much fun like me!
@@CulturedFoodLife could you help me ? I have candida and I haven’t had Greek yogurt in three years or coffee ? Also I was wondering about sourdough bread is that safe with candida?
"Fermenting everything that doesn't move," lol! 💜 That's me the last month or so! How did I reach my 70s without knowing about fermenting? Me, the person that loves pickled pigs feet and anything sour, who loves Filipino food because it tastes like it has vinegar in it although now I'm questioning maybe it isn't vinegar maybe it's fermented foods. I am now looking at everything I eat and drink and wondering if it could be fermented. Googling fermented coffee led me to this video.
Hi, Donna!!! (New listener here). I make coffee ice cubes, kefir, and a light drizzle of local maple syrup smoothies. Yum!!😊
If it's organic, they do put alot of pesticides on coffee. They also can grow mold easily and I get organic beans and grind them myself
Hmm, I do regular water fasts, and I noticed that when I have coffee, I have bad headaches from the end of day 1 way into day 2 of the fast.
So I stopped drinking coffee, because it seemed I need to detox because of it.
But, everyones setup and situation is different. What Donna says makes a lot of sense.
It's good to do just a coffee fast 1-2 days before planned water fast as the coffee headache is so vicious😄
You mean I don't have to feel guilty about my ❤ for coffee?.......whaaat?...I mean THANK-YOU!!!
Can organic instant coffee work too?
Yes! I just watched another video on how coffee can be beneficial against cancer. I have had a love /hate relationship with coffee until I started using Purity Coffee. First one ever, that doesn’t upset my gut! Hurrah! Thx for the great content! ☺️
Excellent Many thanks for sharing Donna. Apparenty 85% Dark Chocolate as tou may already be aware is also is a prebiotic that your gut microbes love. The trick always is self control and resisting the temptation to over consume it.
A recent randomized control study incolving 85% Dark Chocolate looked at microbiome diversity and mood In general in group those fed 85% Dark Chocolate had increased diversity of gut microbiome and improved mood states
How would you go about second fermenting milk kefir with coffee?
Try a shot of espresso, will likely still need a sugar component.
Coffee shoots my anxiety to the stars. I think I am coffee sensitive want to but just can’t tried many times. I am definitely good with healthy immunity. Never have flu or colds. Was asthmatic as a child. But you saved my malabsorption.
I ♥️ you!!! I have been going crazy for 8 years now with a horrific rash that pretty much covers my whole body…I’m so joyous to have found you and a truth, not many know! To be healthy is everything, if you don’t have it nothing else matters…may you be blessed as you continue to care and pass your information along!!!
do you get the same benefits drinking decaff?
Yes
back in the 70s, all of the neighborhood parents would be drinking coffee after dinner.
Love it! Donna what say you about coffee enemas? 🙏
How does everyone drink their coffee?? I use maple syrup for the sweetner and cream (half n half). My Dr. Wants me to give up the maple syrup. I have 1 cup a day only and it gives me so much joy to have that 1 cup.
My mix changes by the day, but usually it's some form of sweetish, flavored, and strong. It's a rare, rare day if I have it black. Never tried maple syrup as a sweetener though. Gotta give that a shot.
We put coconut oil in it and put it in a blender to emulsify... it's delicious 😋 use only organic beans and grind it myself.. thanks Donna, love your suggestions, I/we have a l-reuteri "yougurt " every day 😀
Wow i was just wondering about coffees affect on my gut flora simply because i love it so much! Thank you!
Love coffee 😊 I love your show.
Really!!??? Coffee Kefir!! Awesome.
Thx for sharing your cold coffee recipe. I'll try it 😊
Love the smell of coffee
Good, because my brain needs coffee to wake up☕️
Coffee makes my hair fall out. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's. I love coffee so if you have a way to drink it so my hair won't fall out, that would be great
Hi Stacy! I'm not a DR so talking with a Naturo Path Dr would be best to determine what is best for you. But working on healing your gut will help with the allergies to certain foods and your overall health. For now I would consider trying some Faux coffee. I have a whole article on that. It's so good for you , has no actual coffee in it, but is made from chicory root which is a wonderful prebiotic! You can learn all about it here: www.culturedfoodlife.com/your-microbes-want-this-coffee/
Try brewing pour over with two paper fillet and then squeeze lemon, lime or orange juice into it instead of milk.
This may sound strange but the sugars and different acids in citrus fruits neutralise and break down some of the harmful components in coffee and you get a healthier drink which doesn't make you anxious or jittery.
Does instant coffee give you the same benefits??😃 TFS
It's loaded with sugars. Dextrose, maltodextrin - read the label...
@@suecollins3246 The label on mine says "100% Pure Coffee".
I don’t eat fruits or vegetables due to autoimmune..coffee is the only plant i consume , I’m so happy my body accepts it , my favorite thing ❤
I’m carnivore as well, just beginning to introduce coffee again. I’m not sure how my rheumatoid arthritis will handle it yet.
Just in the nick of time! I was just thinking about finding another video because yours didn't seem to be talkin about what I had typed in the search box and finally got the 20-minute Mark you started talking about it. I was trying to figure out if coffee and kefir would go well together. It didn't sound like it would because who wants our coffee? But something in my gut, pun intended, told me to research it and consider it. Thanks for the information! And the encouragement.
Thank god! And you for sharing this.
Me too, coffee lover here whoop whoop!!!
I just found you through a friend who bought your book. I love what you have to say but it took you 20 minutes to get to a recipe that I can use on the topic of your video. Your discussion on bacteria is repetitive throughout the videos. What other tubers do is link to basic videos to prevent this. Your lack of focus prevents more people from hearing your message. Rock on! Less is more.
Some of us are hearing her for the first time and the extraneous information and her experience is valuable to us.
You can help people and get rich doing it! Good for you.
❤
I really like coffee yogurt ! And one morning while sipping my kefir I alternated with my fresh cup of coffee!!! I knew i had to get the two together! That flavor reminded me of the coffee yogurt so much! I'm definitely making your "Koffee Kefir!" TY, Donna!
Thank you 😋
How to make this
I like or love coffee Donna how can I get Kiefer and Yoger and Coffee how can get this.Donna.
I want this Donna
I would like to know where you get your allulose sweetener.
Mine comes from Amazon….
Wow thanks 😇🤗😇🤗👍👌🤜🤛
❤❤❤
This is good information however I'm curious about how a person like me who is very sensitive to caffeine can drink coffee, even Fermented, and be Ok? It sounds good but how can my body benefit from the coffee if my sensitivity to caffeine makes me feel yucky, a bad headache or migraine, nausea or all the above.
Kim McCray-Cornelius Just drink teas sweetie. Green teas are wonderful!
As your body heals your sensitivity to caffeine will decrease. That doesn't mean you can drink 10 cups of coffee and not have any issues with caffeine but those that are super sensitive to caffien do better as they hal their gut and adrenals/over all health. Also coffee kombucha and kombucha in general has about 1/3 to 1/2 less caffeine than coffee in its normal state and also changes the way you digest it completely. But you may need to heal your gut first with other things if you have a high sensitivity .
@@CulturedFoodLife can I have coffee with candida ? Ans can I have sourdough
Hi Donna, any tip to travel with kefir grains. In a few weeks I will be in 9 + hour flight. I would like to take kefir grains with me. How can I prepared for it. Thank you. I love your videos. I am learning a lot.
Gab Cam she has an easy kefir powder on her website that’s amazing for times like this.
I've traveled with the grains. I put them in a small Mason jar with a little milk and put that jar in a gallon Ziploc bag. I pack this in my checked luggage with lots of padding. It goes right through the conver belt and onto the plane.
Or you could bring some dried grains, depending on how long you'll stay at your new location.
