Thank you!!! Single mom renovating/restoring a 1946 little slab house - jeez why are PEOPLE SO FREAKING LAZY? What a nightmare. I’m encountering all kinds of half-assed projects to re/un-do. 😒
    This video really helped!!!! 🤩

Gotta love it when other installers just keep stacking the flooring on top of each other when it's susposed to be removed after 2 layers

started doing demo/remodels for a maintanence company with many houses that was recenly sued for haphazardly flipping thier properties and leaving mold etc...demoing the 5 to 6 layers of stacked vinyl is horrendous....with roto hammer, hilti scraper nothing makes it easy floors are bonded andglued to each other so bad getting back to foundation is a pain

@@rickysaldana9853 Careful, some of those lower layers could have asbestos if they are 40 or older.

@@dicky7600 luckily i these houses aren’t old enough for asbestos, it is military housing so the turnover rate is about 2 years on some units, oldest unit maybe 13 years old i would hope there’s no asbestos hahaha

@Ricky Saldana Good. These videos worry me when people don't mention that it could be there sandwiched between all of that.

Great video! Always exciting to see how other flooring installers do their work. I purchased a WOLFF DURO STRIPPER a number of years ago and it has really been a life saver. Great for installers who mostly work in residential but can also be used for some commercial as well. Keep pumping out the videos.

I have the same thing...bought mine at Home Depot. It's a good tool to do take up like you explained. I also used it to shovel myself out of the snow when I got my van stuck👍👍

1-is it me... Or does that scraper look like a snow shovel? Hahaha
2-if there are rips in the existing vinyl flooring, should I say forget it, and pull all flooring up? Or can I patch it, and use peel and stick tile over it?
Please keep in mind, I am a renter.

Jennifer Jo Because you are a renter I would probably secure the rips
to the floor by stapling them down and then installing my peel and stick right over them

Just hope non of those layers contain asbestos

I like that you know how long 4 or 5 inches is. I get so triggered when somebody says "about 5 inches" then proceeds to hold their hands 8 inches apart to demonstrate 5 inches. Or I'm watching a fishing video and he says "I use about 18 inch leader" and proceeds to pull three feet of line off the spool.
    REEEEEEEE!
