- Earlier this year I had the pleasure of conducting the world premiere of 'The Lost Birds' with @VOCES8 and the VOCES8 Foundation US Scholars. Here are a few moments from the rehearsals leading up to the concert.
Featuring the Attacca Quartet and Keisuke Nakagoshi. The world premiere of 'The Lost Birds' took place at the Bing Concert Hall at Stanford University (Christopher's alma mater), February 25, 2023.

Christopher Tin is not only a brilliant composer, but also comes across as the most fun person to hang with. I really hope I get the chance to experience one of his live performances someday!
I played orchestra in middle and high school but we never did a read of a score while talking notes. Seeing this makes me wish we had.

I love this album because I love birds. But many of the songs make me sad because of all the birds we have lost. I wish Emily Dickinson had used the word ‘beings’ instead of ‘things’ in her poem. Beautiful work and I have enjoyed watching the behind-the-scenes shorts. Thank you.
