That brand new baby moose! And the curious moose...the cabin footage, night sky and trail cams all take me away. Your yarny adventures are wonderful too!
I enjoyed your episode, as always. The gorgeous stars and the calming woods speak to my heart, since they provide a moment of peace, much needed these days. I'm working on (still) a puzzle pillow blanket for my grandson, with Briggs & Little stash from Schoolhouse Press, one of my favorite places. Another place of peace. Good knitting and creative moments and thank you for your steadfast work with kids.
Thank you Sarah again. A lovely time to spend with you, always genuine and caring, LOVE to see the native animals in their habitat, very different from the ones we have here in Tasmania, Australia.
I saw my friend Carol with whom I came to Rhinebeck, in her Dala sweater getting a hug. That was so so cool. Also, so great to meet you in person. I admire your podcast very much. I’m sort of living a second life in the Maine woods, vicariously. I just wound my luscious Tidal Yarns I bought from Patricia and am savoring the idea of knitting the Tidal Two by Two sweater pattern-which I also purchased. On my list… needles from Indian Art. I managed to pick up two pairs and love them. I love cold places, too. One of my favorite vacations is Alaska in winter. Iceland is high on my list. That yarn your friend got you is gorgeous. I have to go clean up my drool. 😉
My mom and I really enjoyed meeting and chatting with you and Patricia in the Tidal Yarns booth! I love your videos and all that you stand for. ☺️ Also loved your wildlife footage in this episode!!
Another inspiring and grounding episode. I really appreciate your thoughtful and restrained approach to purchasing your wool and supplies, even when presented with a plethora of wonderful choices at a fibre festival such as Rhinebeck. Spirit vs consumption -- thank you.
It was so nice to spend a few minutes with you at Rhinebeck!!! And oh my I can’t believe the wildlife footage. So spectacular! Thank you for a lovely episode 🤗🤗
I always enjoy your podcast so much. My “bears” (my two little grandsons 18 months and 4 years) are in Bangor. I miss them and when I watch you videos I feel that little connection that makes me smile. I am really intrigued by the new circulars you got. Please please do a quick “review” once you’ve tried them. I absolutely love wooden needles and would slowly start acquiring them if they are a nice as they seem they would be. 😊.
The video of the nighttime animals is fantastic, and the wolves… oh my goodness, stunning. Your knits are beautiful, and the Icelandic yarn is such a treasure. Happy knitting 💚🧶💚
In the midst of reckoning with all the ignorance and hatred in the world that is front and center in the dominant narrative, it is so reassuring to know that there are many good people in the world, in pursuit of peace and harmony with the natural world. 🙏
Hello Sarah, what a beautiful place where you have your cabin. Made me long for my cabin in the Swedish mountains❤ I didn’t know you are a speech pathologist. My daughter is a speech pathologist and I am a preschool teacher (kids age 3-5) here in Vienna and I am so thankful to her joining us here working with our kids who needs speech therapy! It’s so good to have someone who can work with children in all three languages that are present in our school. Swedish, German and English ☺️ (the Swedish school of Vienna). Love your channel! Warm greetings from Vienna, Austria ❤
Hello Vienna! That is amazing, three languages what a gift. It's always gratifying to encounter other SLPs especially those practicing abroad. How lovely you get to work together moving children forward with their communication. A cabin in the Swedish mountains sounds dreamy, I hope you venture there soon!
Aw, thank you! I was thrilled we got a chance to meet too. Your tidal yarn is gorgeous and obviously have you have fantastic taste. I'll look forward to following all to see how all the project unfold.
Greetings from Canada. Thank you for sharing your wildlife footage: Knitters in the wild at Rhinebeck and the critters in the forest. Your gentle spirit is a calming during these tumultuous times. I’m grateful for your channel and I feel blessed to experience your rural and natural setting. I share your appreciation for the rustic fibres. One more thing… a la Colombo. Happy to see you wearing your Roots and Shoots sweater at the beginning of the vlog.
Dear Sarah, your lovely episodes always feel like a short time out after a busy day. Thank you for that 🤗😘 I really like the sweater you're wearing in the beginning of the video and couldn't find it in your projects. I'd love to know the name of the pattern 🙏 Best wishes from Germany 🍁🍂
The sweater I am wearing is the Roots and Shoots sweater by Teri Lutsak in Nutiden and a strand of Knitting for Olive mohair. I hope this helps! It was a fun, quick knit.
Beautiful episode, Sarah! Must’ve missed the building or the booth at Rhinebeck, was hoping to stop and do some fan girling! It was so so crowded, but I was able to pick up a Corriedale yearling fleece, as I’d hoped! Headed to the New England Sheep and Wool Fest in Mass this weekend, which I enjoy so much more, smaller venue, but just easier to shop! Your cabin footage of wildlife is great! So many creatures on the move this time of year….enjoy crafting!
Rats! I'm sorry we missed each other but I imagine there were plenty of other treasures to find! I agree the NESWF is a much more manageable event with access to amazing vendors! I'm glad you got the fleece ;)
Love the animal footage, was that a baby moose? (you don't have to answer) I see Debra at MD sheep and wool and finally last year bought some yarn to make one of her designs.

I know it was great...those events are so hard right? Finding the time to really chat. But I'm glad we got a chance see each other!
All so lovely! Thank you. Especially intriguing to see the wolves. Greetings from Norway!

Wow, that wildlife footage was so amazing. Was that a lynx in it or a bobcat?
Lynx ;)

Yes, it was a calf pretty new born maybe hours old! The subsequent footage was the same calf and cow throughout the summer! Grew so fast ;)
🙋🏼♀️🇦🇺😊

Lynx ;)
