AI? It's a whole class of music! I had albums of stuff like this. College stations played the weird ones, R&B stations played.some, and jazz stations. Mass marketing of music, with enormous stores, kind of slammed this stuff aside.
@@kevinangus4848I hate to break it to you, but the songs on this channel are created by giving prompts to AI. Theres no actual artist behind any of these
Why are everybody talking about AI in the comments of these videos? There were no AI when these bangers were released back in the day. My dad played all these classics, I have special fond memories of Rodney Munch with ‘It’s time to take a shit on the company’s dime’ and also several of the tracks from Sticky Sweethearts. I believe one of their hits ‘I glued my balls to my butthole again’ is already uploaded on this channel. Brings me straight back to my childhood - I still have a lot of respect for glue.
This brings back some gassy memories. I got to meet Crazy Ain at Diarrhea Demolition Night at Taco Bell back in 1979. That man sure could eat a plate of beans.
I believe the 'Obscurest' referes to the songs being rare or hard to find. In this alternate reality, these singles were found in small record stores in Nowhereville, made by a small record producer and only published once. So regardless of how popular this channel becomes, the term still applies.
Hopefully someone digs up that legendary broadcast from August of ‘68 when Sherm McAleavey himself showed up for a rare live in-studio performance of previously unheard selections from the Logging Sessions. Sherm was so wrapped up in his performance that he forgot the chair was sitting in was not a toilet. Legend has it the stains are still in the studio’s carpet.
Crazy Ain in the Morning was a regular WFRT broadcast from 1961-1987 featuring host Andrew "Crazy Ain" Ingenheimersteinwebberjagermanjensen, or "Crazy Ainal" as he liked to be called. Popular topics included motorcycles, popular songs, bodily functions, adhesive products, the digestive system and Ain's mom. During call-in segments, Crazy Ain often would ask listeners for crazy stories which they would invariably tie to flatulence or obscenities to Ain's chagrin. It was considered "a blast" to get booted off the phone lines by Ain, whom most folks considered quite a gas. Although Crazy Ain in the Morning would last for well over twenty-five years, the show would be canceled after the annual bean eating contest hosted by Ain himself in late 1987. Now known as "The Light of '87," an unfortunate contestant wasn't far enough away from the WFRT studios in downtown Assensville, Brohoio when they lit up a cig after exiting a baptism and ended up setting both buildings on fire. While no one was harmed, the incident was the end for WFRT and Crazy Ain, who was last seen riding his Harley into the sunset. Fortunately, years after the Light of '87, recordings of Crazy Ain in the Morning were recovered in the ruins of an abandoned Burger King and restored with proper application of Mighty Bond Adhesive. Now, all the memories of Crazy Ain are available to listen to once again, one blast after another.
The pure desperate emotion of "My arms are just stuck like this" even though the lyrics are only like 75% there on the comedy scale is so good. It's like putting autotune on someone in an increasingly manic and upsetting situation and I love it.
I remember in the early 80’s there were emergency alert broadcasts warning the public not to do stupid things. In the internet age however, the stupid things just became TikTok challenges. ✨
I’d like to think that this is from a piece of obscure vinyl (just like the name of your channel), or from one of those gag tapes that radio DJs used to share in the 70s and 80s. If that’s not the case, this is really good. Negativland “California Superstation”-good.
I can see your channel gettin really huge if you stick with this man. Put the work in and try to make catchy songs that are funny and you'll make it. So far the Rubbin and Tuggin is the best because legit it's a great song. The glued my balls to my butthole is second and less catchy. Some of the others have less strong vocals. I think the meme-ability relies on ppl sending it to their friend or just simply enjoying the song so much they listen to it over and over. Good luck man. Ride the wave, you've caught it early!
Was going to mention on one of the other videos that I saw earlier today that these songs would make for a hysterical Fallout radio broadcast mod or a GTA station. Looks like you're already ahead of the game.

What's your favourite odour?
Why did I get a phone sex operator
That glue commercial followed up by “I Glued My Balls to My Butthole Again” was perfection.
Actually, I just listened to THAT song...
Funny and obscure, hidden gems and quite risque...
This channel makes me feel like I did in the early days of the internet, just never knowing what I'm in for but often delighted by what I find.
Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame on glue.
Please glue responsibly
I love that the whole title of the song implies that this wasn't the first time he's made such a monumental mistake lmao
holy balls! I need to hear an entire four hour show!
The Obscurest Vinyl audio universe is shaping up quite nicely
I’ve been showing this channel to everyone I know all week long, and singing the songs to myself. Best use of AI ever.

I have no doubt Jenny Stardust is a real gal.
Redd Sister's are quite talented. Who & The Synthetics put out some bangers, as did Sidney Hudson.
This is exactly like GTA radio stations. The commercials, the host and his callers, and your songs, you got it down! I love it!

The whole emergency broadcast, and returning to the classic glue song 😂 Love it

I want what their smoking over there
I believe it has jumped *MULTIPLE* Time Lines!!! 😬😂
Great comparison
For real though, I can totally see it....
This has to be a channel on GTA6
That's actually a great theory
Now that thought will be with me all week.
Agreed 💯
Absolutely...🥸

lmao this channel would be a perfect radio station for the next Fallout or GTA
This is pure magic. Thank you so much!
Fallout New Vegas needs this Radio Station.
This would be amazing
A relic of the old world, those who’ve braved the ages of Nuclear Hell are left stupefied by this “Crazy Ain” and his flatulence based rhetoric
You Don't Know Jack, Streets of Sim City, a bunch of games had funny fake radio ads.
This channel and content is quickly becoming one/some of my favorite! Keep up the great work. 😀

And Rodney Munch talking about taking a shit on the company's dime.

Just wait for the next broadcast..
build up the catalog of content, mix it into this radio format and get it an hour long? that'd be fantastic!
Yeah, I think that's where we're headed. Just had to test it out first!
