The funniest part about the fantasia submission is yes, it's classical (edit: well not classical in the actual era but neoclassical), but it was from rite of spring, which was so avant garde for the time that it caused riots in it's first performance. Also that opening solo was a bassoon played so high, other composers didn't even recognise it as a bassoon. In the fantasia version it isn't even very high and sounds more like a midi tuba, and the other voicings are super non threatening while the ballet it was set to is literally about a torture dance and it was meant to sound scary and weird.

I agree, Earthbound has a great soundtrack and same goes for Lisa The Painful, in my opinion.
RIP Jose. He did not get to say hi to UA-cam.
Appreciate the shoutout for Aidyn Chronicles: The First Mage soundtrack in the town of Gwernia. There are definitely some other great contenders in the soundtracks for this contest but was great to see it go head-to-head with Mickey!
shout out coney for stepping in for mickey, other was funny but mickey has the brown note
the sequel to one of the genuinely most funny videos i have ever watched on this website
The Taz-Mania train sounding song is shockingly one of the most bearable on the entire soundtrack. Check out the Badlands theme if you don't value your hearing
I actually love that synthy bass clairinet sound from the mickey song. Id love to get that midi and make a beat
Fun fact about Urban Yeti: it's the only Game Boy Advance game not sold in stores. When it came out, you had to order it via an informercial and the game's composer went on to do Spider-Man 2 on the same system 2 years later.
The spyro one is really wild. Even Copeland decided to phone it in for enter the dragonfly
I’m really happy that specific Urban Yeti song made it into this video. It’s just a shame he doesn’t listen to the later parts of it where it gets _spicy_.
Fantastic video regardless. ❤
The Urban Yeti song plays while you bounce around in a sewer on an inner tube
I was watching this in the background and when he pulled out the instruments at 5:39, I genuinely thought it was just part of the song for a bit.
8:00 that one sound goes really hard actually, would sample that
The funniest part about the fantasia submission is yes, it's classical (edit: well not classical in the actual era but neoclassical), but it was from rite of spring, which was so avant garde for the time that it caused riots in it's first performance.
8:54 I think the DEVS should have a moment of clarity that leads to them saying “…you’re fired”
im convinced anybody who dislikes the Earthbound soundtrack has their favorite cookie as Nilla Wafers. And also say "yummy in my tummy!" when eating said Nilla Wafers.
The EarthBound soundtrack is unironically based. The perfect mixture of goofy, serious, contemplative and heartfelt.
@@AluminumFusion22 literally my feelings
I can't believe the way I'm figuring out a sample from a song I like originates from "Dracula" is through a video about horrible game music
18:00 Coney has said so many times before that he was going to make the Like button light up, and I always thought it was a hoax. This time, however, he said “Slam the Like button” and that made it actually light up!
6:00 I've been searching for this song for a while. I'm pretty sure Caddicarus has used it in every single one of his videos.
Still, none of these songs even compare slightly to the Crazy Bus title screen theme.
0:41 wtf going on in the chat?
I loved the first episode of this. Didn't know there was another. I love finding new game music, normally the really good ones but it's cool to hear the polar opposite too. They finally got taz mania involved too, in the first episode I mentioned that OST in the comments last time, something went super wrong with the whole thing codingwise rather than composerwise but it's still funny
I’m watching this with a high fever and I hate it. Always appreciate the uploads Coney :)
That loading song broke my mind into fifteen million pieces
You're bonkers in the brain to submit any earthbound song other than maybe the dungeon man song
Out of every video game theme I have listened to, I think the sewer theme from Urban Yeti is the best worst one.
The punches in the Ninja Hero song sound like the shooting noise in Robotron
Boy, Stewart Copeland gave up at the end of Enter the Dragonfly's soundtrack, which was a shame because the rest of the game has some really solid tracks
Never thought it was possible to make an entire song with farts... then again, Doom on 32X exists
