Yes that kh, half the stuff without context is just funny and confusing, and half of that is still funny even WITH context
I want to like this but it's at the weed number and I don't want to ruin it...
The funniest part about the FF Origin scene is he plays it, lets it play the entire time as they're walking out, then stops it after they leave. He chose to play that song as his badass walk away moment for everyone else to see.
I forgot about that until I played the game recently and it had me in stitches

The funny thing with that goofy scene is the manga did it a lot better. In the manga a giant pile of boulders falls on Goofy, and later they find out he survived because the rocks fell in a way that it left a perfectly Goofy shaped hole.

Wasn’t it the manga writer (or light novel?) that wrote Days? The one seen as the best story in the series? Makes sense they’d make the goofy scene a million times better with it making more sense why they’d assume he’s dead and using Goofy’s canon cartoony luck.
Nomura really should’ve just gotten an actual writer for the series. Imagine how amazing the series would’ve been if was well written all the way through.
I can't lie I love the Goofy 'death' scene for just how seriously it's treated. Games like Kingdom Hearts or Sonic Adventure 2 that are sincere with their storytelling despite how silly it is when you dissect the scenes, I can't help but respect.
You can always find respect when someone owns up to something.

Goofy but sincere games are one of my favorite kinds of games, something about them is so appealing
The mystery of Druid ones genuinely made me laugh out loud a couple times. The fact that he no sold that he was eating human meat and then went to slowly take another bite while the dude is dumping exposition on him was hysterical

Learning the ending to KH1 is one of the only video game scenes that ever made Coney cry is like seeing the tragic backstory that led to an antagonist being the way they are in the present
One of my favorites has to be from Sonic the Hedgehog 2006. Silver the Hedgehog is fighting Shadow the Hedgehog. Shadow slows down time with a Chaos Emerald, runs behind him, and roundhouse kicks him in the back of the head before he even realizes what's happening.
Every time i see that cutscene i laugh uncontrollably. First time i saw it i laughed for at least 5 minutes
The "I'm me he says" is so viscerally hilarious because responding "no I'm me" is so childish and absurd that it would be the enough in itself for any KH game but no the game has to note that it's a stupid line and comment on it wich is unexpected coming from a KH game.
Honestly to me it’s just ridiculous because Riku clarifies simplistically that he is himself so they must be impossible, and the imposter just goes “lol dumb”

3:36 The thing about "That's the Tony Hawk sound effect!" is that some sound effects genuinely are just either royalty free or from sound libraries. Deadly premonition with its already bad sound library has a sound effect for I think it's when you kill an enemy through a headshot or when your kill spawns an item reward and quite a few TEMU ads use the same sound effect, just pitched up.
Honestly, Zero's "what am I fighting for" is hilarious, but it's not beating "I'm me he says"

Gotta be honest I wish more people would bring up the “I’M DISAPPOINTED IN YOU COLONEL HRAAAAAAAAAAGH!” scene more with X4, so much solid cheesy gold in it.

I'm surprised the Mickey "Door to Darkness" scene, Megaman X4's "What am i fighting for" and the Symphony of the Night "Die monster" scenes didn't make it.

“The Town With No Name” has some PHENOMENAL cutscenes and some absolutely awful voice acting. The “do you have the time” cutscene is actually phenomenal

I personally found the Stranger of Paradise scene to be amazing, it's so out of nowhere and a HUH moment since it's Final Fantasy.
There's more context that makes the FFO scene even funnier, first of all that's the middle of the song, its not like the beginning of the song its like a minute into the song, secondly he turns it off immediately after he's out of earshot. He had that song prepped in the middle of it to walk away to look cool, bro planned that whole thing with a theme song and everything.
you could probably do numerous entire tournaments with just Yakuza cutscenes, that series is a goldmine
As someone who caught this stream live there were like 4 Yakuza cutscenes submitted and coney hated all of them except for the one that made it into the video

Context on Thanos: He sees Ryu's Satsui no Hadou, and gets interested. The party infiltrates Sigma's Lab, and while they build an Infinity Stone-powered cannon to shoot at Ultron-Sigma, he builds a siphoning gauntlet, which he immediately uses on Ryu. He then discards the Stone in his possession as a "pebble".

@@Thomas-ex6tp The plot of Marvel VS Capcom Infinite's story mode has Ultron from the Marvel universe, and Sigma from Mega Man X, using two Infinity Stones to fuse Marvel worlds with Capcom worlds, and fusing themselves to become Ultron-Sigma, with the goal of wiping humanity.
The Infinity Stones are a Marvel thing. Six stones that grant power over certain aspects of existence: Reality, Space, Time, Soul, Mind, and Power.
If I recall, the "Satsui no Hadou" (murderous aura?) is a thing in Street Fighter. It's a dark energy that develops within Ansatsuken practitioners, like Ryu, making them fight without inhibitions, like keeping their opponent alive. For reference, see Akuma, who gave in to it. In MVCI, we see Ryu trying to suppress it while fighting Ultron-Sigma's forces.
The heroes seek the other four Infinity Stones to stand a chance. They release Thanos to help them track the Stones. In a scene, Thanos sees Ryu fighting while trying to contain the Satsui no Hadou, and takes interest in the apparent power boost it gives him.
Nearing the end of the story, the heroes infiltrate Sigma's laboratory, and with Thanos's help, they build a cannon meant to use the energy of the Infinity Stones to defeat Ultron-Sigma. While the cannon is built, Thanos builds himself an energy-draining gauntlet. He then beats up the heroes and uses the gauntlet to drain Ryu's Satsui no Hadou, discards the Stone he's carrying, and leaves.

Honestly 3 has so many. Vanitas getting thrown through the door, Goofy yelling “Donald don’t” before the duck kills himself using the most powerful spell in Final Fantasy history

Some fun trivia about Mickey in KH.
Mickey gets that sword in the KH equivalent to Hell.
In his first appearance in the series, he appears shirtless. To keep continuity with the series in a game that happens to occur at the same time as that first appearance, they show how he lost his shirt (it got destroyed when he was attacked by a monster in the aforementioned Hell).
You can play him in KH2 if you suck at the game, as he sometimes appears as a revival mechanic and is fucking busted.
He can stop time. No bullshit, he has time magic and uses it at least twice.

As a KH fan, both how stupid the writing can get and how genuine the delivery is makes it the perfect cocktail of emotions. Out of context it's hilarious, but some scenes do hit harder in context. It's one of the things I love about the series, how despite its utter stupidity you do end up feeling a lot of emotion anyways.
still, to this day, people don't get that Tidus from Final Fantasy X was forcing his laughter because they're in the middle of a crisis.
Well when it's taken out of context of the actual scene and cut down to just the laugh itself, that's unfortunately going to happen. So anyone who never played FFX get shown that clip and think that the acting is terrible, because they get zero context for anything else.

I love that we are finally at a point that people don’t just hate on Kingdom Hearts constantly, and they can actually find enjoyment in the cutscenes. It’s a hilarious franchise
I'm honestly a little sad the scene where Vanitas gets thrown into a door in KH3 didn't get nominated. It perfectly encapsulates the tone of the series.

I love that DMC clip so much. it epitomizes Capcom of that era to me, unintentionally hilarious and very memorable. I sometimes wish we could go back to the age where video games stories and cutscenes were unintentionally janky and hilarious.
I feel like that scene would’ve gotten further if it was the original PS2 version. If you haven’t seen it the PS2 version has insane motion blur, like literally cant make out anything even remotely resembling a human levels of motion blur. For some reason that got removed in the HD collection along with a bunch of other visual effects (for example: the final boss of DMC1 has an attack that’s straight up invisible in the PS3 version).
Finding out that the Time Crisis cutscene was in the poll but wasn't even brought up in the edited video even when it made it to Round 2 and likely made it there because its the protagonist just punching the boss and leaving is truly a mixed feelings moment
My favorite cutscene is in pikmin 3 when Louie runs away with your juice and explodes a massive bomb just off screen

I think the "I'm Me" is the funniest one because with only three simple lines it perfectly encapsulates the entirety of every kingdom hearts product ever.

The fact that DmC F-you isn't even mentioned here is a war crime. Funniest cutscene of all time and it's not close.
The funniest part of that cutscene is that it’s literally the only good part of that entire games story, it is the only scene where Donte has any kind of personality or character that doesn’t make me want to just turn the game off instantly, it is only part of the game where he isn’t absolutely insufferable. The only other good parts of that games story are unintentionally funny such as the infamous sniper rifle abortion.
Honestly, out of Kingdom Hearts clips, that is a good and funny one.
Although I personally (as for as KH cutscenes go) that one falls second compared to Sully from Monster's Inc throwing Vanitas through a door and then chaining throwing doors through doors is just absolutely fun.
My favorite cutscene bugs are the ones where the character models are in the cutscene but the environment and enemy AI is still active. That Red Dead cutscene was playing, but an explosion happened in the gameplay loop mid-cutscene, blowing a couple of a character’s limbs clean off, and it just KEPT GOING.

I'd personally say that the Twisted Metal lost ending for spectre belongs here. Aside from that, probably that one MK cutscene where the sub zero (I think) and another guy are transported to another place with the long scream, as well as 'My name's not Shane, kid."
if you know anything about Yakuza, you'll know that Kiryu just effortlessly shattering a statue with his bare fist is not even close to the craziest thing he's done
You could put all of a town with no name in here, but the bartender scene is the most iconic.
Basically any cutscene from a shovelware game called “Future Tactics: The Uprising” would be a potential contender for this.
Kingdom Hearts is just the game that keeps on giving. Simultaneously a tear-jerker, intentionally funny, badass, incredible on a gameplay level, unintentionally funny, endearing, inspiring, uplifting, etc. That's why it's my favorite series of all time, bugs and all...just like Sora once said to Mickey about Riku EYOOOOOO-
The FF origins cutscene is the best for me. jack is such an amazing awful character. Also hilarious to me that in their other similar recent games, team ninja plays every cutscene straight and lore dumps convoluted shit on you that is basically only enjoyable at all if you know the actual history of the time periods in the game. Then the game where people actually care about the lore they make Jack the main character who just tries to skip all the cutscenes.
The yakuza 0 and kiwami cutscenes are great considering its supposed to be a serious crime drama

If there's not a single SotN cutscene, I'm gonna be upset. Not the well-known ones obviously, something along the lines of when Alucard first meets Death or the Succubus or the Ferryman

That one kingdom hearts scene, with the rikuplica and riku, it is the perfect example of why the pronoun game is terrible.
My favorite part of any Coney video is at the end when he's like "watch, the buttons light up" in to a volley of like & subscribes only for the buttons to not light up in the slightest. Very good dramatic irony
The "A Bomb" scene from Deus Ex is really good, but look up the "What a rotten way to die" scene. Probably one of my favorites all time.

The DMC cutscene is way funnier in the original because there's a huge blur on the screen that makes it just that much more dramatic and funnier.

My favorite part is that they probably didn't have the funniest cutscene from the Kingdom Hearts series. Look up "KH1 Oathkeeper Glitch" and I think it blows all of these out of the water.

I'm an avid Command & Conquer fan, and I can say that the SPACE moment is just scratching the surface.
Case in point, in Red Alert 2, there's a scene where the characters contact one of their generals to find out he's having a hot tub party.

Stranger of Paradise is both a great game and the funniest game of all time, it truly does not let up and there's scenes that are even funnier than this
The best part of the killer 7 clip is them asking what happens if they lose Russian roulette as if they wouldn’t be dead… and then the other guy continues with “I want you to kill the president”
