love the cast iron track signs! I was looking on google streetview and noticed that Vine street had an interesting signal mast at one time. Possibly and old WRRS Autoflag but i dont know for sure. A trail was built not far from that crossing so the tracks there are gone but the trees where too thick to see if the mast was there still.
Let’s face it trains will never use this track again Why? The Tracks Are Cut Off, There Is A Trail Where The Tracks Were The Crossings Are Too Old And The Industry Is Pretty Much Dead
These tracks are still connected to live rail. The connection is being put back in service so that the Tazewell can resume service to O'Brien Steel. When I was last in Peoria, I was surprised to see these tracks still intact that far up. I do see no reason for these tracks to see use, except perhaps to stage cars for O'Brien. They last saw service probably in 2010 or maybe 2009
I accidentally found this on Google Maps a year ago, good to see there's a video on it.

Same here! I'm pretty sure that mast is gone now, but I didn't check.
@@kyleb06 it would be awesome if there are any old photos of the crossings or the line in service

Cool video though
Thanks! Yea, no reason for trains to ever come down here.
