6:01, WEPX Coal Cars, from Wisconsin Electric Power. That was out of the York Canyon Mine in New Mexico during 96. That train is headed back to Raton New Mexico.
Even toward the end of its existence when Day One of BNSF came, the Santa Fe's billboard era was still pretty much evident with "Super Shock Control" on its fleet of boxcars.
Any way i do miss that nice blue yellow engine and the rest of that train set which I haven't seen that kind of Santa Fe before always Red and silver. But it was nice that had blue and yellow Santa Fe train set
Just wondering - was there a Harvey House near the Santa Fe's depot in Streator? I knew that the Santa Fe once had Harvey Houses near its depots in Arizona (Flagstaff, Kingman, Seligman, Winslow and Holbrook) and some in California.
Great scenes, have you entertained a thought of traveling to another state and doing some rail fanning with another railroad and their lines, here in Kentucky in Louisville we have 3 railroads that are easy to get to and do some filming of trains, my roommate can give you the train information on all 3 of the train movements from point of origin to final destination.
‘I climbed Jumbo in Toluca, IL.’ ✅😉 Me, too.
Great scenes Brian! Loved the Chilli sub back in those days, the Santa Fe never failed at putting together awesome power consists!
Really good footage
