Back in the days when they were punk..ish. I will always consider their album Smash as one of the masterpieces in 90's music. I grew up listening to their earlier albums and when i heard Americana for the first time i knew where this was heading :-(. No matter what i think of their music nowdays (and all albums after Americana) i will never forget influence that Dexter and Noodles had to me back then and i will keep on coming back to their 'original' sound and style. \m/
Well, I disconnected a bit after Ixnay of the hombre, mostly when I listened "Pretty fly", but years later, I discovered some songs that were good from newer LPs, like "Million miles away". But of course, it is not the same, but you know, we change with age as well, and maybe we do not keep the same energy or we do not have it in the same way, as we grow... And the show must go on... you know...
Americana was my first album of theirs, and which got me into punk/metal music. Smash was my second and still my favourite. That album will always have a special place in my heart. Stopped following them after Conspiracy... since by then I had gotten into more underground and extremer stuff.
Remember hearing Offspring when i was a little kid, my bigger brother used to blast it all the time.. and i was crying just because i didnt like it. Well guess what, after all these years, almost 20 years.. its my favourite band ever lol.
Ahaha it happened almost exactly the same with me. I liked their most famous songs but always asked my older brother to skip Self Esteem. Now I'm 24 years old and I blast it on the radio everytime I'm driving
God damn this was good after just coming from a video od them performing the same song in 2018. I hate that my teen idols are are either dead or (in Dexter's case) looking like Gary Busey. I know we all get old, but seeing videos like this makes me wish Doc Brown would swing by my house in a DeLorean. If I could go back and bottle the feeling of what this video represents, I'd hoard it all for myself.
☢TruckMafk TM™" I agree with that, unfortunetely if a band wants the music as a lifestyle or a way of living, the underground won't help them, it's pityful, but it's true. I think Offspring is a good example of that...
It's been almost 20 years I listen to The Offspring and I don't regret it at all, as many fans I'd like Ron to come back but I'm afraid this will not happen.
I'm excited to see them. their old stuff was awesome. I had the ignition tape. that album started punk for me. it captured me. mad energy. I'm seein them in a couple weeks. ill be in front row requesting all the old songs.
Putain sa fait grave plaisir d'écouter sa , Ambiance de Folie ! J'avais 4 Ans a cette époque .. Le concert est complètement baisé 🔥 Offspring comme Niravan un belle part de ma Jeunesse 🙏🍻🔥

Gary Busey!!!! Lmfao! I miss these days
If I could go back and bottle that energy, I’d share it with the world for free
I love how security tries and fails to keep the fans off the stage.
Love their first 3 albums but Smash is one of the greats.
Smash was their third album
the 60s,70s, 80s, and 90s were the best time of Rock. rock died after the 90s.
rock never die
☢TruckMafk TM™" Mainstream is killing rock and all kind of music
ArielOffspring
I think its fair to say Rock is dead and buried. Its in the underground where it belongs ;)

The pedestal is high enough to fall... That's pretty much it. The thing is you only get it 20 years later. Long live punk rock!
