I grew up on figs. Eating figs and dates instead of candy. Every bite is a tapestry of history. Centuries of delicious culture. My grandparents we're from the black sea. You've helped me reconnect with old tastes now enjoyed by my children. Many thanks from America.
You may want to consider publishing a cookbook. Your recipes are so delicious and you make the instructions easy to follow. I am so glad I discovered your channel.
This sounds so good. I have never had fig pudding but have often heard of it as a Christmas dessert and I LOVE figs! I am going to try this and love that it doesn't have added sugar! Thank you for sharing.
I love love love all ur recipes.. I m Indian .. but my husband likes to try all different cuisines.. and whenever I make ur recipe.. I get a huge compliment from him .. please make a kitchen tour vedio .. with details of ur kitchen equipments and utensils... May Allah bless u ..
It is really great. I am in Seychelles, but basically from India. We have lot of figs there. Both fresh and dried ones. But I never heard about such wonderful desert back home. And yes, we also use finger method to make yoghurt, but we call it curds and it is thicker than yogurt. I am vegetarian, and love to watch more vegetarian recipes from you.
Figs and milk go beyond the imagination!!! I love them! In Iran we we let the fig and milk sit in the fridge for a day or so and just snack on it as is.
I have made several of your dishes since I discovered your channel and they have all been so delicious. I am trying this one next. Thank you for your wonderful introduction to Turkish food. Best wishes from the United States.
Assalam o alikum, i am from Pakistan. I really liked this recipe. Will definitely give it a try. I like figs and I know that Turkey is world' s biggest producer of figs.

Have never heard of but LOVE figs. It's amazing how it actually thickens (without flour) like a pudding too! Thank you for this as I will make soon! And will let you know as well! USA Arizona. My mothers family was from Croatia (mom 1st generation born US) and they had huge fig tree in StLouis I used to climb as child... and I dont think they ever made this pudding, even tho from old country in Croatia. Surely they mustve dried figs. Only moms sister~ Aunt (92) & uncle (97) remaining & I see them Sunday for Fathers Day. I now will talk about the fig tree. Do you now celebrate Fathers Day in Turkey? Have you always if you do? Ahhhh.. Your program bringing families together for nice time. ty
Hello Sandy, thank you for sharing your memories. This is a old recipe from my fathers home town Kastamonu where a am now visiting my mom and dad. They spend summer here. We do celebrate Father’s Day since maybe 10-15 years from now. Not many people though. Have a great day with your grand parents 💕 hope you try and like the recipe
Did you move it around or wait before you porsion it to sleep? :) Because it becomes like pudding right away and if you wait too much it might curdles. Hope it goes well this time
Ok I made it again later and it did set up but I used fresh figs we had just picked off the tree that day and it was a bit bitter but it worked the reason I think it works is the white part of the fig is pectin just like the white part of Orange is pectin. Makes it set up or jell like pudding. Great recipe, I would guess your recipe could be thousands of years old.
Merhaba Aysenur, love your channel! I made your pogaca recipe on the weekend and it turned out beautifully. Thanks so much, looking forward to trying this one out next ❤✌🏽
