I live in the Cincinnati area but have a friend who lives up in Cuyahoga County real close to Cleveland and I love seeing the sights in and around the city every time I am up there.
Great video , but why not film on a beautiful Summer, sunny day when everything is a lush green and in full bloom. You get such a different perspective on the city.
ugh... So true, mostly overcast days and on an old unstabilized cell phone, so even the colors that are there are washed out. It all looks much better in person.
Cleveland was a great place to grow up in the 1950s. It is indeed coming back though serious problems remain. Fine video. Could have included more about University Circle and Case Western Reserve which has become a powerhouse research and education institution.
Cleveland is also a great place to visit. My family did the Air Show, RRHOF, Tribe game, exotic car show, and ate at terrific restaurants downtown while staying for 3 days at the Westin on St Clair. Great Weather. Tough to beat that good sir 🤠
I was born in Cleveland, lived near Cleveland and Youngstown most of my life... A work buddy of mine who grew up in Texas pointed out to me that Ohio is gray and depressing (which I totally denied). This video made it pretty obvious... it is the norm lol.
“On behalf of 2019 Wunderbar Together-Cleveland Team, we are honored to acknowledge the achievements of the lives of American Cultural Ambassadors David and Renate Jakupca from Cleveland, ingenious visionaries who have made a tremendous difference for the betterment, not only to Mankind, but to All the Worlds Children of planet Earth. They say success is measured, not only by what has been accomplished, but also by the vision that builds its own moment like what is inspiring the Worlds Children Peace Monument (WCPM) organization to excel beyond what it initially thought was possible at EXPO 2000, the Worlds Fair held in Hanover, Germany. David and Renate Jakupca are true humanitarians, and it is the responsibility of society to continue their crusade now and into the future. We will not likely see the likes of them again. And, like so many around the globe, we cannot fully imagine our own lives tomorrow without the examples that the Ambassadors have set. So, it falls to society as best it can, to forward the lessons that their years of blood, sweat, and tears in the countless years their determination has started. That is, to be as true as we could be today and LEAVE A MARK that is positive in the lives of All the Worlds Children. Following the precedent David and Renate set: to make decisions guided not by hate, but by love; to never discount the difference that one person can make; to never quit to strive for a future that is worthy of us. And, so long as we live, we should do what we have learned from them. Together, they have worked to cherish the ideal of a free society in which all Living Things flourish together in harmony through Iceality in a sustainable culture of peace. It is an ideal which all can hope to live for and to achieve. But, if need be, it is an ideal for which we as individuals need to be prepared to make sacrifices to achieve. David and Renate Jakupca lived for that ideal, and they made it real. They achieved more than could be expected of any people”.

I lived on Cleveland's west side from 1965 to 1970. I'm now in Canton, Ohio. Before then I lived in Brookpark from 1959 to 1965. I spent most of my time crossing the border into Middleburgh Hgts. that was mostly farm lands wide open fields and old forests. When my parents moved into Cleveland, I didn't like it and started hopping freight trains to go on adventures.

Hello from Pennsylvania. I want to first state that I have nothing against Ohio or Cleveland. I bear them no ill will. But it’s simply nonsense to talk about a ”rebirth” of Cleveland. If there was any kind of birth involving Cleveland in the 21st Century, it was clearly a stillborn. I recently spent 3 full days with 2 other very experienced traction rail fans who have visited the area repeatedly over the last 50 years. We were shocked by the vastly reduced levels of service on both the former Shaker Heights and CTS lines, compared with our past visits. Most salient to us was how skinnied-down the service volumes and headway’s were at rush hour. We also noted how much vacant office space and retail stores there were in and near Terminal Square. Stopping for lunch downtown we noted how few customers there were, and how many business were boarded up in the food court area. Very sad. CAS
You should have ill will against Ohio. The State of Ohio has repeated slashed transportation funding for public transit. Cleveland has had to get creative to maintain the existing infrastructure. Side note: if you get a chance, check of the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad that runs through the Cuyahoga Valley National Park..super scenic. Plus having national funding is much nicer to maintain.
You stated two small insignificant things lmao there are tons of renovations and, projects not only in the downtown area but in other Neighborhoods. Sad that you thought of it that way but i have to say you're totally wrong about that whole "nonsense" thing.

Nice work Timosha21!
Born and raised there
I lived on Cleveland's west side from 1965 to 1970.
Sweeeeeeet! Do you by chance recommend any good LUTS for editing in post production? I just got the Mavic Pro 2 and I'm excited to see how the video turns out! I'm trying to find some great LUTS for the drone footage. 😀

TECH & INNOVATION
Downtown Cleveland welcomes entrepreneurs, innovators, and disruptors to start here, work here and grow here. We are building on our region’s status as The Medical Capital and our emergence as a leader in blockchain technology to attract STEM talent and businesses. Fiber infrastructure deployment has seen significant growth as well. Downtown Cleveland businesses have access to the fastest commercially available fiber from AT&T and Downtown Cleveland founded and headquartered EverStream.
The Medical Capital companies have attracted over $2.3 billion in growth capital since 2001 from 123 international and national investors, and 36 Cleveland-area biomedical investors - with more than 68 exits in the same period.
CityBlock will be a 350,000 square foot entrepreneurial center located in The Avenue Shops at Tower City Center, in the heart of the central business district adjacent to Public Square and the Downtown Rapid Transit Station. The campus will weave people, organizations, education, innovation, entrepreneurship, shopping, dining, architecture, and innovation into a vibrant tapestry that will attract talent and jobs to Downtown Cleveland.
• Start-Up and entrepreneurial supporter JumpStart: $100 million funds for blockchain startups
• NCT Ventures: $50 million funds to invest in Northeast Ohio start-ups
• FlashStarts: $6 million blockchain fund
The Global Center is the platform where global healthcare leaders convene and collaborate to develop solutions to high-priority issues. Cleveland ranked 3rd in the Midwest in investments in biomedical companies, attracting $293 million in 71 businesses.
Engaged brands at the Global Center include:
Leveraging Regional Talent
Downtown Cleveland attracts young, skilled and diverse talent to central business district employers. The millennial generation, the largest component of the workforce, and Generation Z, now entering the workforce, prefer the amenities, authenticity, and transportation options that Downtown Cleveland provides.
• 29,000 STEM degrees awarded annually from colleges and universities within a 2.5-hour drive of our central business district,
including Carnegie Mellon University, University of Michigan, and The Ohio State University.
Downtown has been and become home to a variety of legacy and growth companies including:
• Northeast Ohio Headquartered Companies Establishing Downtown Locations
• Growing Cleveland-Founded Start-Ups • Fortune 1000 Headquarters • Silicon Valley-based
The headquarters for 22 Fortune 1000 companies are in Northeast Ohio,
helping to make the region home to the 2nd largest concentration of corporate headquarter jobs in the U.S.
Located across from the revitalized Flats East Bank District, this 10-acre development opportunity offers riverfront unparalleled Cuyahoga River and city views. This once industrial neighborhood is home to the Greater Cleveland Aquarium, Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica, Music Box Supper Club, bike and pedestrian trails, and boat docks for casual cruises around Cleveland's waterfront.
This mixed-use riverfront development opportunity, currently dubbed "Thunderbird," offers 13-acres surrounded by three of Cleveland's most vibrant neighborhoods; Downtown, Tremont, and Ohio City. The site also has a direct connection to the Towpath Trail. This is area is truly a lifestyle sanctuary for the outdoor urban enthusiast.
Transit makes a good city GREAT, and Downtown Cleveland has all the mobility options that the Millennial Generation and Generation Z desire:
• North America’s leading bus-rapid transit, the Healthline, connects Ohio’s first and fourth largest employment clusters (Downtown and University Circle)
• Ohio’s only light rail system, including a direct connection between Downtown and Hopkins International Airport
• Free trolleys that circulate throughout Downtown 7 days per week

Spend the money to bring am money bring events here and Downtown Cleveland We got a casino where they Could of head Live music bands But Cleveland thanks small We could a been put by the rock and roll Hall of fame Some type of Cleveland event local where the we could head like bmx bike events for skateboard events For the locals that's how you bring money from different States but we think small We could a build our own indoor amusement park in downtown with all the empty factories But we think small Instead of putting that aquarium guy'll tell that nobody go to and was way too small we could have build a indoor Water park somewhere in flats but we think small and old..🤮
One thing positive about Cleveland: It's not Detroit

What kind of problems?
Still the same ...
So what? Why isn't the Rock & Roll HOF in a city that had something to do with it, like Nashville? It seems like a scam.
LOL Smart Nashville does not have it. Do you think the majority of today's acts will last 20 years?
@@toyoscio I hope not. Cleveland still seems like a scam.
Alan Freed a Cleveland dj coined the phrase rock and roll Freed also had a national TV show
@@dougjones7609 And ultimately he was murdered. I've wondered why the hof is in Cleveland, because I don't think Cleveland had much to do with it compared to Nashville and Detroit, even Philly. BTW, it seems that Doug Jones is quite a common name, and of course Jones is, but a lot of Joneses are named Doug.
it was put here because of a DJ in Cleveland Ohio named Alan Freed was the first to use the term Rock and Roll on the radio !! 🤔👍😎😀🇺🇸
I hate to say it but I've never seen a poorer representation of our city
Head east on Superior past 55th
Very sad. CAS
As a New Yorker, hearing about a half empty train is funny
Most of this is because of the population decline which for Cleveland has been going on continuously since the 1930's
