They need to put out a deal you cannot refuse on their top of the line drill (or impact driver) to try to entice people to switch. Maybe the top of the line drill w/ the smallest battery and cheapest charger for $99, or maybe $129… or with 2 small batteries for an additional $30… so a pro can use it on the job, being able to charge one while using the other, impact driver out the door for $150, your going to get some people to try it out for sure.. might not make much money on the first sale, but you got them on your platform… and if you can live up to the commercials, you can be sure they will want to get more use out of their batteries with some more tools and probably a big battery as well. Has anyone seen Flex used out in the field much? Is it being adopted at all? Personally, I haven’t seen any of their tools, anywhere at all… which also makes it impossible for me to try. They really took on a challenge here…if they tried to enter the market on the low or mid range/consumer or prosumer, they would probably be adopted pretty quickly in that scenario, but seeing as that these are competing with top of the line tools and their prices are not cheaper, but MORE expensive to boot, its much harder to get people to switch/try them… this type of customer needs to know they can depend on it and whatnot, they cannot take the risk, like a consumer or prosumer can… without it costing them money. The consumer can take the risk, knowing that the tool is probably fine for them and its its really bad for some reason, that much worse than the standard brands they are used to, they can return it, no harm no foul… but the Flex buyer, well, he could be risking quite a bit. And maybe throw in a manufactures coupon inside as well with that first cheap deal, where on your next bare tool, you get one of the larger batteries for free or 1/2 off or something where it comes out cheaper than buying a tool+batter kit on sale. A customer has a great experience with both the first and second tool, they are probably going to continue and quite possibly then become brand-loyal. Just a thought. Pretty good vid for a look at their drywall tools. I've looked into their drywall sanders before and seen some vids on their new G7 or whatever they call it. I really don't think it's on the level of the Mirka or rebranded Mirka Hilti and the newer Festool Planex 2 is a quality finish drywall sander I use but the Flex is still interesting and I'd like to demo it. For extraction I've been on the Festool teet since 2012 and have 3 of their extractors in the field and told myself I was going to give the Mirka extractor a try but bought another Festool because it's what I know and everything is fitted for them, but again I'd like to demo one of their top tier extractors. Their drywall screw gun I'm interested in and have almost ordered it a couple times. I like that it comes with the collated attachment but feel they should of went with pressure power on feature as the direct drive on the Makita is sweet. Why does the cutout tool come with a 1/4" collet? I bought it expecting to be able to slow it down to use as a die grinder, because it came with that 1/4" collet. I hate drywall with a passion, so I have very little use for something that only runs at 28K RPM.
Every [pneumatic] die grinder I've ever run has had a max RPM of no more than 23k, a variable speed trigger, and was often reversible. where is flex's pulsed oil impact driver? will flex be ahead of dewalt on this one? because ATM dewalt dont have one either. this 1 essential tool is totally missing for me from both brands. wake up! its 2021
You know I love a good quiet impact driver!
I'm honestly still a little bit confused why they created an entirely new brand instead of just expanding Skil, which has a long history and relatively well known name recognition.
Skil is Chervon's Ryobi tier brand, and Kobalt is their Ridgid equivalent. They needed something new to compete with the big dogs.
They didn’t create an entirely new brand. They slapped a very old brand’s name on an entirely different set of products.
@@robertrada4783 🤔
100 year old brand name and company. Just a new line of tools for the North American market, the red and black drywall sander you see in the video is of the original.
New flex tool with stacked batteries will change the game!😀
I’m all about new technology, even if I don’t use all the functions! 🤣
@@VCGConstruction me too!
I’m switching over to flex , all they need in my opinion to have me 100 all in is to get a denser battery pack like dewalt power stack cuz not having a bulky ass battery on the drill helps to get into those tight spots
Is Barnaby affiliated with Flex, I remember watching his tool review channel many years ago
He had a tool review channel?
@@VCGConstruction yes, he used to have guests on that highlighted different tools. I don’t remember the name it was probably 5-8 years ago. That’s where I first seen the M12 impact tools and he had a contractor on that featured the Hilti 22V impact Driver, I’ll research a bit to see if I can find the videos
I believe I remember seeing him with Ego as well.
@@SpookyNeo Yep, I remember seeing him wearing a EGO Polo shirt doing some type of demo
He works for Chervon, used to be on a local news channel before that!
So when I got to look at one of the Inline saws, I "saw" the hose connector and my first thought was "this looks like an anglerfish." Now when I buy one it will be dubbed Angler
Ridgids drywall combo kit comes with everything flex does and has just a drive setting
wheres the milwaukee?
2 Flexsperts?
🤣
Laughs in Australian, what is this Flex brand you speak of
Sounds good :)
Sadly. Im set in my ways though... Milwaukee... and i wont touch any tool other than a milwaukee...
But not to say these aren't great....
But i personally wont be trying any..
Wadido VCG?
Now if they just put the tools on a competitive sale level with this seasons dewalt offerings, they’d be moving units, lol
I feel like Dewalt is crushing the deals this season
@@MagWire8 yeah, I agree. I wasn’t even interested in dewalt… and then the sales dropped, lol. Now I’m 12 tools in across the 20vand 12v
You better believe it! That is crazy! These guys know how to make batteries for the tools! FLEX are the guys who make BATTERIES FOR THE TOOLS not TOOLS FOR THE BATTERIES.
What manufacturer makes tools for the batteries? Who are you alluding to? Milwaukee pioneered the lithium ion 18 Volt technology and make some of the best batteries in the industry. Their new MX batteries are power houses. I’m sticking with Milwaukee, they’re a great company. They have a track record and have never let me down. Some of their new tools I recently bought are nothing less than amazing, e.g. M12 23 Gauge Pin Nailer.
@@martylucas8557 me too Milwaukee is a great tool company. I am taking about Makita, go figure which tool works for what platform? I like their tools but so many battery platforms?! MILWAUKEE NAIL GUNS ARE UNCONTESTED! They are the best end of story go buy yourself beer! But this small circular saw from FLEX if so lovely I like her very much, she became my favorite tool very quickly.
Makita needs to upgrade their 18v batteries 😤
Did that man just say mouth to tip?
Sorry V Man I just don't like Flex. 🤣 But your channel is Great!
Flex tools are not trash
I’ve been buying my multi tool blades through the wish app 60 blades for like 44$ and after a few orders I’ve got it down for what I need fast blade wood/metal you name it and for the money you can’t beat it
Yo Vince
Yo dude! 👍🏻
Milwaukee is still top!! Flex is cool and all, but they don’t have as many tools and they haven’t been around long enough..
I own her. She is way better than 7,5 inch
Ask them to lower the prices
Hey, dude. You need to slow it down on these video uploads because it's draining the battery on my phone. 😆
Maybe it's just me but I don't want a ton of features on a tool, especially an impact. I want it small, light, a good light, high rpm and lots of impacts.
exactly
Flex batteries are great when the are not leaking or prematurely bricking. Too bad, the tools are nice.
love how he said the impact has turbo 🤣 guy needs to figure out how to tell the difference between the impact and the drill
the impact has turbo also
Why is the EGO guy there in this clip????
Chervon own both.
@@AlexKall Gotcha
They’re nice tools but if weight is something you’re concerned with these aren’t for you
Yellow bat+Teal charger+Red power =Flex
DEWALT "we are the only ones with flatpack technology" nek minute "FLEX TOOLS news stacked lithium" smh
Mirka leros drywall sander, no other comes close, flex real low on the list......
