The whole movie is just shit, Fat Man and Little Boy, with Paul Newman, now there was an accurate portrayal of both men.
This film makes Oppenheimer out like he regrets making the bomb, but then in real life, its well documented that he and his wife would have a party every year to celebrate the day we bombed hiroshima.
General Graves was a street smart man, and he played Oppenheimer like a fiddle, and yet this film portrays him as a much more ignorant man.

@@jamesnoneyabizness5611 He made Dynamite for construction, his whole discovery of it was by accident when he was experimenting on nitroglycerin. Without the discovery of Dynamite the world would be different due to how much an influence it had on things like canels, highway construction, tunnels, and etc. The use of Dynamite by the military for warfare was a by product of that, just like how military inventions make their way into the civilian world. Now yes, he made the Nobel Peace prize, but he did it so that science for the sake of peace could be recognized, though today's Nobel Peace prize organization would probably make him sick seeing how they give out that reward to anyone with influence......or money. That's why he created and invested in the Nobel Prize. By the 1880s he was considered the biggest merchant of death ever and didn't want that to be his legacy.

@@drkcobraYep, he made Dynamite for construction, he saw it as a tool for building. Others saw how it could be a tool for destruction. Though I will still make the argument that without the invention of Dynamite humanity would be a full 2 centuries behind in progress, especially with logistics structures that have made life so much easier. Not everything is black and white when it comes to these things such as this.

Nobel didn't invent the dynamite for use in warfare. He invented it as a replacement for gunpowder to stop people from dying due to malfunctions and spontaneous explosions.
Both Kissinger and Durc Tho were given nobel prizes as a way to encourge them to stop the Vietnam War. Yes the recpients are not always the most noble of people but this shouldn't smear the name of Nobel.
