For TV viewing, Glen Helen is the best track. It's wicked and cool...
Imo the dirt kinda sicks (same with all California tracks) I would like yo see more sand tracks personally

I rode at Glen Helen for years and I don't think it's any more dangerous than other tracks. Motocross by definition is dangerous. It would be great to see GH back on the schedule, but the one thing that was always a negative is the single in/out access road.
Tourist Trophy is dangerous. In motocross you break bones and they heal.
More serious than other tracks yes!! Way too high speed no jumps to slow you down. Seen So many serious injuries there. Just very fast and boring layout

Yet, I hear of more people dying at Glen Helen than other tracks.
Ty looked extremely comfortable. He was keeping pace with Anderson as he was dping what looked like a moto during one of the 30 min practice sessions and eventually Ando stood Masterpool up in the big sweeper off the start. Seemed like he was fed up with having him all over him haha.

Waved yellows in MXGP means you can’t pass or send the jump.
But the controversy behind Seewer & Horgomo getting docked was that the marshall was behind the monster barrier on the jump & couldn’t be seen.
Also they were going through a huge puddle before the jump.
Complete balls up because they could have killed or seriously injured the rider that was down.
I was in France and the marshall’s made a few mistakes, a lot of them past their best before date. They were ancient.
The reason Benistant got injured was because of bad marshalling at Saint Jean
Idea to make first corners safer for riders and put more emphasis on qualifying well, 40 riders, only 20 metal grates. If you qualify well, you have an advantage on the start and you dont end up with 30+ riders still side by side into a narrowing first turn.

Christian Craig is honestly 1 of my favourite guys never met him or his family. I do believe there is more fitting riders unfortunately that should get rides.this sucks..but his value and commitment to his family .. family seems grounded and down to earth.. wish him all the best

I've painfully come to the conclusion that mx/sx will never be more than a peripheral sport due to low pay. A few are making a lot of money from the sport and it is not getting to the riders to improve competition. Too many people are willing to race for "free" even at the pro level. So much emphasis has been put on either win a championship or you were last. I think many would say it is the promoters, but i think it is as much or more the factories only supporting a handful of riders vs say mandatory factory teams of 10-12.

I think it is ripping off the riders. If a dirt stock car can race for 20 to 30k. Just about every race. A sport that each event could be your last should pay a minimum of 25k for 250's and 45k for 450's. The 10k is an insult don't even get me started on the cost to race outside of the bike. It's ridiculous there would be more riders if it didn't cost so much to show up and compete and of course press Day. Never seen a more obvious form of favoritism. Poop show for riders
It comes down to money, we are only fans because we have shelled out thousands of dollars on our own equipment. The average person isn’t going to be entertained by something they can’t relate to for the most part. It’s easier to pick up a foot ball or soccer ball and become a fan of the sport then it is for someone to get a dirtbike and become a fan of this sport. Now that’s just speaking on broad terms cuz there will always be outliers
Why do Ryder D and brown need to look for rides if ktm take over gasgas from TLD? If the team is going to continue to operate (even if it’s under different management) I can’t imagine gasgas bringing in complete new riders if Ryder D and brown have good outdoor seasons?
Need at least one Euro rider and a 14 year old prospect on the team.

there was a yellow waving flag to the right if i remember right - that is why they go docked and the rider was down in a blind spot the other side of the jump, the BS part is where the flag was placed and the massive puddle they were hitting which obviously made it hard to see, oh and the fact that not all who jumped it got stitched.... Let off for prado

roczen finished 7th overall in supercross, even after crashing out and missing many races, for reference even after crashing out of the season KR did better than, hunter lawrence, justin barcia, aaron plessinger and adam cianciarulo, thats 4 factory level riders, some with championships, not to mention he podiumed this year, which very few riders did

About time someone else sees Glen Helen as dangerous. Way too high speed and no jumps to regulate speed. Layout is old and boring. Myself and many good friends of mine have had serious injuries there. I try to avoid races there now on

Seems many injuries, deaths at Glen Helen. Had MX been A regulated industry. GH would have been investigated, and shut down. Stamp it. Not just GH, but many tracks would be shut down. Don’t recall this many deaths back in the 80’s on the tracks. Maybe tracks were slower, not groomed, less flow, less powerful bikes, more skilled riders, Better flagger? I don’t know…..Far too many deaths in MX.
@@lmtada I hear you but bikes were just as powerful. My 85 CR500 was close to 60 HP. But GH is a 4th/5th gear track. Damn fast. I’ve seen many broken bodies going 5th gear into Talladega

Wait isn’t that grounds for legal section from barcia and the rest because they have contracts with gas gas?
Just like most employment contracts there’s probably a clause in there that says “either party can exit the agreement at any time for any reason” …which pretty much voids the entire contract and makes it not worth the paper it’s printed on
When they go to E-bikes, I'm done with the sport. The sound and the smell of the race fuel is a huge part of the experience of motocross or any motorsport for that matter. I'm also a huge fan of Mitch Payton and I'm curious as to how this transition will affect his pro circuit team. I love your show Johnny

There are all kinds of people that want to hear about E motorcycles. Almost everyone that owns them owns ICE bikes as well anyways. Think the Honda is going to be inferior to the Varg though. It is an extremely old design compared to the Varg that was a ground up development.
Considering Troy Lee Designs and GASGAS just signed a three-year extension to their partnership as a team, those rumors are highly unlikely to be true.
Gas Gas is just going back in house.

Johnny word around the track is you will be teaming up with walty wonders for the premier class of the outdoors coming up and you will be campaigning his Hodaka 90 super rat that he has out in the back shed that he won all the championships on in the past...that 2 stroke smoker is very light and super fast...and everyone is seriously worried you will sweep the outdoors and the playoffs for the big money... Before each race just remember to eat a box of donuts and a gallon of coffee and I'm sure you'll have no problem winning...

I love ET3 but he's done and baked. Time to retire, my guy. Other- can't compare the pay to a sport where the tire budget alone is greater than the entire Honda team MX budget. Billionaire owners vs millionaire owners. Cosmic differences also in global audience exposure. I love MX but it only has a tiny fraction of the global interest F1 does- for the last 50 years.
