I was fortunate enough to write and produce a movie for the Disney Channel back in the late 90s called Motocrossed. What was paramount to getting the film done was the willingness of the athletes and the sport's governing body to participate and help us with access to riders, events, etc. When we needed riders to do a cameo scene we had written, we had a list of guys we wanted and figured we'd start at the top, fully expecting to get turned down by the really big stars. To our surprise, Jeremy McGrath, Travis Pastrana and Steve Lamson were the very first to step up and agree to be in the movie. And all three said they would do anything if it would give the sport more visibility and grow its popularity. And it did. In fact Jeremy mentioned the movie in his autobiography as one of the things that helped grow the sport back then. Now this was 25 years ago and things are VERY different. But, what needs to exist at the very core of everyone involved in Motocross and Supercross, is the desire to spread the word about the greatest sport on the planet. For that, we need people working in the sport who are true believers, motocross lovers, fans. MX and SX are fantastic TV sports, exciting as hell to watch in your living room if you can't make the race. All it takes is a couple of times watching it and having it explained and people get hooked.I truly believe that nowadays, the one of the issues we have is that the revenue streams are so diverse that a top rider doesn't need to work as hard on the side stuff as they used to. I know people are going to say, "The guy just wants to race and he's winning"! "Why does he have to do any more"? Look at any other motorsport from Indy to NASCAR would be my response. Those guys schedules are packed with appearances, meetings with sponsors, charity and other events that place their brand in the public eye, That's how those sports get so huge. Anyway, I'm so sorry for being the rambling idiot, but Moto means the world to me and I want to see it go next level in my lifetime. I'll leave you with one final note. When I wrote that movie, I was invited to go to races across the country, to stand down to the track during a race, and I even got to participate in the Suzuki Crossover Challenge, a pro/am race that put a bunch of guys who could ride but were from other disciplines on equally prepped Suzuki125s and let them race at intermission at the San Diego round. It was terrifying on the one hand and on the other it was the greatest day of my life. The point is there was an effort to help us get the movie made. I recently reached out out to Feld in regards to a second movie I'm working on and doing some research during the SX season. The response I got was from a guy who had never heard of our movie and pawned me off on some publicity firm who never returned my calls. If I'm working at Feld, I have to believe another Motocrossed is good for the sport. But no one seemed to care. There is a systemic feeling that as long as we got ours and we're pumping our brand, then this is enough. It's not. It as to be about the entire brand. Not just one rider. Truthfully we have the greatest cast of characters the sport has ever had RIGHT NOW. Use that. Get the Lawrences on Jimmy Kimmel or Fallon or whoever, Get those faces out there. The world will love these guys. Thanks for putting up with my rant. See you all at The Wick!
God bless your heart I'd love to help produce that second era. But please. We gotta match the bike sounds. Lol I keep saying every second I get the chance. That. Our sport we all love needs to. Open up the rider spectrum.... For example. Look at MxGp MotoGP EMX 125 EMX 250 MX2 MX1 WMX THOSE ARE ALL HUGE HUGE CLASES ALL PUT IN SEQUENCE BIG MX2 MX,1 OVER THE Weekend AND THE REST OVER THE DAYS LEADING TO. THE BIG WEEKEND. AND THERES ALOT MORE CLASSES. I JUST APPRECIATE HOW THEY KEEP THE INDUSTRY TOGTHER AS A WHOLE. AND FOR ALL SKILL LEVELS AND LOOK AT HOW BIG IT HAS GROWN OVER THE YEARS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE POND IT'S COOL WE HAVE MX SX IN SEPARATE SEASONS AND NOW THEY HAVE SMX BUT LET'S KEEP IT REAL HERE I FEEL LIKE THE SPORT IS GROWN OFF OF THE GRASSROOTS RACERS THE AMATEURS AND ALL THE FACTORY ADD A PRO LEVEL AND I'M NOT SAYING THAT WE NEED TO HAVE MORE CLASSES ON THOSE EXACT NIGHTS BUT YOU MENTIONED THE SUZUKI CROSSOVER RACE WHICH IS THE 125 2 STROKE RACE WHICH IS LIKE ICONIC AND A LOT OF PEOPLE DON'T EVEN KNOW THAT IT EVER EXISTED THERE'S SO MUCH WE CAN DO BUT NOW THERE'S MAJOR GATEKEEPING GOING ON IT BOILS DOWN TO MX SPORTS AND FELD ENT LIKE I SAID EARLIER I THINK A MotocrossED 2025 A NEW ERA IS A VERY GREAT IDEA AND WE NEED TO Speak UP THESE TIMES ARE TOUGH FOR EVRRYONE. BUT IF WE ALL WORK SMART AND MAKE SOME NOISE. ITS GONNA BE FOR THE BEST LOOK AT THE AMATEUR CLASSES ARE STACKED. THE STACYC HAS BEEN SOO GOOD FOR THE INDUSTRY. AND I STAND BEHIND YOU AND YOUR PLANS. IM A PRO LVL RACER AND. YOU CAN LOOK ME UP. ALEX DUNCH IM JUST GETTING BACK INTO THE SPORT AND HOPE TO BE BACK ON THE GATE NEXT Year Reach OUT TO ME IM ALL EARS ❤
@@dunch711 Bro thank you so much. I cannot tell you how pissed off I was the day I showed up for the final mix of the movie and heard the sounds they had for the races. It was like a single dude on an 80 pulling away from the line in last place. It was brutal. We searched all over but at 8pm on a Friday before internet was really happening the way it is, there was no place to find them. But I hear you. Trust me. And I'm with you on wanting to keep the privateers in the mix at the big events. I wish there was a way to have a single race, maybe 10 laps for the guys who didn't make the main. Then at the end of the year add up the points and pay out money for the top 10 guys or something as long as they raced more than half the races. I don't know. I just feel so bad for guys who love the sport like we all do who show up at these things and go home having lost money., But I guess that's the choice you make. When I rode the Suzuki Crossover, it was my first time riding on a super cross track. And anyone who even attempts that deserves something for the effort. I is freaking scary as shit, bro. But I'm sure you know that. Anyway, thanks for the props. Hope to see you on the gate soon!
MX and SX will never become mainstream until it is generally available on TV, so people who are not already fans can be exposed to it. Mismanagement of the sport and greed is keeping the sport down, not Jett.
TBF they have the best TV deal right now than they have had in a very long time with a streaming app that isn't overpriced. You also don't have to get a separate one for SX and MX like years past. That was only possible with the combined SMX series. The TV stuff was covered in length when the SMX championship was created. There's also a really good media presence in moto that makes good content. We will always be a niche sport though... motorsports are smaller than stick and ball, and offroad racing even more so.
It used to be on TV every weekend in the late 80’s and 90’s and we had the 500cc class outdoors. We could just record the supercross and motocross on VHS and watch it whenever. The sports stations stopped carrying it. The steaming came about as a need to get it out to people cause no major broadcaster would carry it. ESPN had it every weekend with Dave Despain and it didn’t cost any extra.
Also a new bike is about $11000 plus you have to be able to haul it and have a place to ride. The only reason I’m able to ride is because I have to spend just as much time turning wrenches as I do riding
Clickbait UA-camrs and keyboard warriors have destroyed Jetts unfiltered personality to the point where he’s either a no show or scripted. He once was fun at pressers! You can’t put all the blame on the Lawrences.
Not wrong mate. People expect to much from him, and forget his still a kid. Give it a couple of years and it’ll probably change. But like someone else said, the sports not accessible
Maybe the guy really just wants to be the best he can be on a dirt bike and live a fun and private life. My guess is he gets bored with moto sooner than later and go and does something else, maybe on 2 wheels, maybe 4, maybe with a golf club. At the end of the day why give a shit, go do something game changing with your own life.
Shut up man, Jett and deegan are the best thing that has come to the sport in a decade, it’s unreal how many new people I know that are now watching because of these 2
That isn't the point he was making! watch and listen, they have a chance to bring new people as viewers and fans, instead they come in for their own greed and leave, reason why the women's motocross is dead, Ashley Fiolek was the star, but instead she came in, won a few and left, she didn't grow the sport at all. without a star this sport will eventually go back to the wayside or die off, with electric bikes on the horizon, they will need something, because that in itself will make the sport beyond boring, it will die off without a new fanbase.
@@jetdr my point is they have already brought in a hell of a lot of new people already, more than any of the other riders in the sport, why hate on them when they have done more than any of the other riders in the sport, your not in their position so you wouldn’t know how hard it actually is to be at top lvl of the sport
@@jetdrwhy would he the most of American media/fans despise him. Every race he is booed, and every social media post he is getting trashed. They have now closed the doors on everyone
Breaking multiple records and forcing the other riders to lift their game is growing THE SPORT. If he has to concentrate on riding not talking smack to do it , good on him. Not everyone wants the American bs. Let ama work out how to grow their sport , let the riders ride . And blaming jett for the sports down falls is next level
100% I’ve watched interviews from riders in the pre-RC4 days who would compete and then party for the week then race again. When RC turned up they were shaken because suddenly they had to train hard and take it seriously or they were never going to win another race. Now all riders are on that style of program and they’re going to have to find something extra if they want to run up front.
see my rant above....this BS of making the Riders responsible to also 'grow the sport' while they are the ones PROVIDING the entertainment in the first place is INSANE; Eat, Sleep, Train, Ride is all they do while at their best; MEDIA, AMA, FIM, PROMOTERS and MERCH makers all get rich off the backs of these young athletes while they do 9 tenths of NOTHING except make more rules and look for ways to make the riders and teams pay more; Just like Politics, the whole 'system' is back to front and arse about face; i can remember when the sport was being promoted and was 'free-to-air' every Sunday afternoon; that era of the late 80's and 90's grew the sport and then the Money Merchants got involved; leave the riders alone and let them do what they love to do; if this CORPORATE Money Merchant crap keeps going it will kill the sport; maybe that's 'their' idea...."you will own nothing and you will be happy"
Riders are what provides personalities and thats whtat draws people in and KEEP them in. Look at other sports, when there are stars and needle pushers, it doesnt matter how good they are, it matters how interesting they are. Conor hasnt won a fight since 2020, but yet hes one of the sports biggest draws. Look at golf when Woods had that baby mama drama. People care about drama and peoples personality. Its what gets people to watch and go to the races, how they generate more revenue and grow.
@c0dered987 a lot of people don't care about the drama mate, they just want to see people at peak performance and in motorsport to be the best takes dedication and no distraction. Look at pretty much every wrc driver, nearly all f1 drivers especially max, now look at jett . Now think how many drama obsessed Americans are dominating the world stage. F1 , wrc , motogp , world super bike ? Even indy car has been dominated by non Americans. Then you have nascar , yhe most drama filled brain dead sport and shane van gisbergen came from nz and flogged em in his first race . 🤣. You can insist that motorsport needs drama but good racers will bring that by being better at there sport not flapping their gums.
@@bradmatthews3822 well said; it seems most Americans love the drama and love being the centre of attention; seems they think life is one big 'reality TV show' and want, no demand, their 15 minutes of fame; when it comes to sport (in general) they hate being beaten by 'outsiders' so much that they will do all they can to create drama in an effort to 'put the competition off their game' while promoting themself at the same time; swimming, tennis, Olympics, Motor-Sports...doesn't matter; Drama and self-Promotion always comes into it; look at Chase for example; great rider but....he claims to be the fastest; the media clowns tell us he is the fastest; all his American fans tell us he is the fastest yet somehow he consistently fails to finish at the front; "the bike is not good"...."the set-up is way off"....."we've been struggling with this chassis all season" and all the rest of the excuses; if i were Roger Decoster or a KTM executive i would of sacked him long ago for bagging the product that he is paid to promote; how a few sprint laps in the middle of a race equates to being 'the fastest' escapes my thoughts; a few fastest laps doesn't make anyone the fastest over a 30 minute plus Two laps race. "in order to finish first, first you must finish" comes to mind; just like JS7 in his hay day, everyone said he was the fastest but how many times did he crash himself out of a race?; again, great rider but he too rode over his or the bikes ability way too often; BUT, he never blamed the bike; he was humble enough to admit "my bad".... doesn't matter what bike we ride or how awesome the bike is, there's a very fine line between being fast and being close to out of control and only along for the ride hanging onto the 'bars for dear life; being along for the ride can only last for so long.
I did not expect this video to be so solid. Well done! Great thought paralleling Jett to Beckham. Jett is amazing, our sport is amazing. The really amazing thing is how niche it still is.
Becuase he did way more than win motorcross races, he transcended the sport like so many others have done in other sports. Jett is just getting started and people are judging him against legends like pastrana. The kid has been in the spotlight for the equivalent of 2mins. legends are created over time and so is their legacy that lifts an entire sport to whole new level.
If Jett doesn't want to show everyone his personal life that's his decision. IDGAF if you like him or not but, you might as well get used to him winning everything as long as he stays healthy.
Brian Deegan has already done this marketing thing once, and made millions. We're witnessing him do it again with his son. Jett's agent needs to take some lessons from Brian Deegan.
@@UnfilteredMXhey clown How is it bad for the sport if Jet is the reason I have come back to watch as a 40 YT old who use to race MX in the 90s early 00s You will only have haters watches
@UnfilteredMX jett might not want that! He tried probably got distracted and thought i need to do my job first and now hes all about business. The media can be good and bad but mostly bad for people in jetts shoes
I’m paying 150$ a month for cable and still can’t watch Supercross or Motocross without paying more for a subscription to Peacock. The sport will never grow being this greedy.
Peacock isn’t to blame, there the ones that put in the rights to stream it, other media companies obviously have either no interest in it or feld want to much money.
Ufc grew the most when it was a per veiw platform. Moto will never grow because there is very little outside sponsors. The only real outside sponsors is progressive in twisted tea and energy drinks. Thats it if monster or red bull ever pull the plug this sport is screwed. Oh yea forgot about rock star energy. For this sport to truly grow the bikes need a over haul to be able to showcase a title team sponsorship. The only real benefit for sponsors is on the podium yet people complain the riders give cookie cutter speeches on the podium.
i agree mate, but in the same breath, Jett and his management shouldnt have been banging on how they intend to change the sport i guess. they loaded themselves up with that pressure. words can come back to haunt sometimes.....
It's pretty simple. This sport is too expensive. Not only do you need the bikes but you need somewhere to ride them.. You need your friends to have them.. Fuel/Parts/Gear/Mechanical knowledge.. By the time you have money for them you're generally already too old to be taking the risks of learning. They aren't Ideal for people to get into with a family to take care of. The Price should come down to $5k for a new bike. 11k-13k for a stock bike out the door is too much for the common.
Very true. Anybody can go buy some soccer boots or a football or baseball batt etc, but owning and riding/racing a dirt bike especially at a young is a massive privilege and why Motocross will always be a niche sport.
That is a good point, but not really when u take into account how big motogp or f1 is.. no one can buy and race a MotoGP bike or f1 car no matter how much money they have
in ur example motogp and formula1 should be dead sports right? for me as european watching ama is terrible since the pass is expensive af. im only watching the races couple days afterwards from somewhere i can find them for free with shit quality. this sport is at the same level right know where movies/tv shows were before netflix and other stream platforms. i think there is a huge amount of people that just dont bother watching it at all cause of this , which is sad since motocross/supercross is easily the best sport in the 2 wheel gategory to watch. i also watch nhl and its so much cheaper and easier to access + with the same price i get also formula, motogp and plenty of other sports to watch aswell. so that is one big thing that needs improvement if the sport is ever going to grow bigger.. and for the topic of the video, i got into watching motocross cause of lawrences and deegan doing legendary stuff , i like how deegan show their lifestyle in youtube and i also understand if jett wants to focus just riding after all the heat/hate he is getting. but lastly the biggest difference in moving the sport is still coming from ama.
Jett is a kid especially mentally just listen to him when hes not on main stream. I know one thing he got me back into SX and MX after 30 years of not watching so you may wanna rethink whos bad for the sport. Kid has done things NO one has ever done. Hats off to him!
I imagine people said Jeremy McGrath or Ricky Carmichael would ruin the sport until they never stopped winning. The series is killing the sport by not having it broadcast on Foxtel so the rest of the world can watch it. Not everyone has access or even knows about smx video pass. I tried getting it but it won’t work! They show so many highlights on UA-cam they should allow people to re air it! That’s how you grow a sport instead of killing it! Selfish pricks!
Agreed 💯. And as for dominate champions the sport grow under Jeremy and Ricky. It all ways dose. Just take MJ and the Bulls for example. Everyone enjoys greatness
The dude is a great kid and the family is awesome… don’t try to put a weight on him that he does not need to carry… If the sport needs help, AMA, Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, KTM can handle that! The sport is huge and we all love it! But is a niche sport! Don try to turn MX/SX into soccer… is too expensive, Risky and loud… The riders are hero’s they have the worst schedule they race every weekend barely have a off season and are risking their life every time they enter track! Do you think that’s a dream sport for the American family?! If you are frustrated that you can’t be rich by being a media of a niche sport that is your problem… don’t try to put unnecessary weight on the kid… The family risked their house on the sport. They are a great exemple of professionalism. the races are really fun to watch and people say he is bad for the sport???
well said; like much else in this 'modern' world, way-too-many want others to take responsibility for what they themself are doing; want be in MX MEDIA that would not exist if it weren't for these fearless Athletes LOVING to race MotorCycles? then do YOUR f*^cking job and leave the kids out of it; do what you are PAID to do and let the kids do what they are paid to do; if you MEDIA shills can't handle YOUR job, stop expecting others to do it for YOU and piss off back to the nothing you came from; these young men owe YOU nothing; without them, you ARE nothing or you'd be chasing around Beyonce' or Swifty demanding they do more when they call the cops on you and have you arrested for stalking them. to ALL you MEDIA shills: No-One owes YOU anything; get over yourself; you aint as important as you think you are
Great video!! This will make a lot of people think about Jett in a different way no bad and not good just different and that's a good thing. I also like the way said what you said without putting Jett down just laying down the facts. wish you luck with your channel. Hope to see that 507 subscribers grow quickly. If you can keep putting out content like this, it will. Cheers mate
I think at the beginning for Jett the rising fame and being comfortable with his family not struggling was the biggest part on why he was so open and willing to have redbull follow him 24/7 filming everything he did. I see Jett around tracks a lot and now i think is annoyed with how much attention is on him at all times. The same questions every interview, the forced smile, the constant hey meet these people, fans yelling at him treating him like he should acknowledge them on race day. Everyone trying to hop on his train. Its not just racing a bike anymore. As soon as he is done with his stuff he leaves as fast as he can with his family. He is 20 there is a lot of pressure on him and its not going to stop anytime soon. Great video it was awesome!
Thanks man, I like your point of view. I can see that it must be exhausting but I do think if he put 10% less attention into our current fans like the vip zone etc, and then put that same 10% into marketing outside the industry it could be a breath of fresh air for him. Not having to be asked the same industry questions and he wouldn’t have the same admiration. Could be less pressure and more effective.
@@UnfilteredMX What keeps me coming back from a different point of view, aside from growing up racing amateur's and the sport is in my blood, is there are guys stepping up like Chase, even in SX before Jett's crash, there were some mains that Chase like always had an incident and was just flying through the pack that a lot of people believe if he had started near the front he would have beat him. Like this weekend, granted his shoulder issue, Chase had him locked up and that comes with confidence. Likely the whole fan base is dying to see ET3 come back and give Jett a beast mode run, I don't think there's a person around that thinks Jett can beat Eli in beast mode, its to bad he's coming back from an injury so maybe we wont see it or maybe we will in a late round.
@@UnfilteredMXBro stfu. Not everyone wants to sell their soul like that. Him and deegan have brought more than enough fans to our sport the last couple of years
@@UnfilteredMX Unfortunately I can't find the stat that keeps track of how every fan started watching the sport. He doesn't need to market himself. He's dominating and people talk, word of mouth spreads and people tune in. Guarantee there's more aussies watching now more than ever, maybe even Europeans. I see more families coming to local tracks now just to watch than I've ever seen. I think we're doing ok. Point is, he doesn't need to market himself and shouldn't change anything he's doing right now
@@keithh1380 exactly; let the kid ride and just be Jett; whilst he LOVES riding, he has worked hard and continues to work hard to be the best HE can be; all this Corporate BS has to stop; want to lay fingers of responsibility for 'growing the sport'? well how about making ALL the LEECHES do what they are PAID to do' without the riders, there is nothing to promote. CORPORATE greed is not only killing sport in general, it is killing what it is to be mankind.
McGrath was dominating Supercross for 7 years, and Supercross was growing like never before. It all depends on what is done around it. He is great for the sport, we still need to wait for the weekend to see who wins, and we should all enjoy that and watch the sport growing. McGrath´s, Stewarts, Carmichaels, Lawrence´s, is what our sport need!
Jett, you are the best. Keep your head on straight and listen to your DAD and HUNTER and everthing will be fine.there is a window of time in this sport take advantage of all you can. You guy's are a breath of fresh air in this sport❤😊😊😊👍
I think it was one of Gypsy videos that said the Lawrence fan zone actually costs the Lawrence’s. His recent injury in the 2024 mx gave him a much needed holiday maybe that will refresh his approach to the fans.
My family has seen Jet multiple times at amateur races. He was very polite and positive he even held my daughter up with a bum foot so she would not have it stood on be everyone. I believe he is a very talented and humble person.
Agreed, Jet just seems to flow smoothly around the track. Unlike some other fast riders who seem to be muscleing the bike, Jet and the bike are like one unit. Roger DeCoster back in the day had a similar smooth, flowing riding style as well.
To the creator of this video. I CANT THANK YOU ENOUGH, for pointing out how underrated motocross is in terms as a sport. It is so physically demanding and so competitive. I think it has its years where there are great battles most weekends (Carmichael & Stewart, Reed & Dungy, Hannah & Jonhson etc etc as there are so many more. Stock car racing is as even as ever now and still left hand turns ( though I am aware of the pit strategies and how they play out in winning a race, and often it's different people every Sat or Sun. Still no better sport on earth yet anyway in my opinion then Motocross. 200 ft jumps that make men become gods among others. Smooth lines like an Stievie Wonder song or whoever you like!
I really don’t get the obsession with ‘grow the sport’? I love motocross and supercross the way it is, I love that it has some of the most grassroots fans of any sport I’ve seen. It’s amazing that you can go to an event like Redbull straight rhythm (when it was around) and bump into and say hi to Chad Reed and Ken Roczen just walking around the place like I did in 2017. That’s not likely to happen with F1. I like that the riders can say what they want without the whole world shitting on them, although that is changing because everyone is so sensitive about what others say nowadays. Jett has turned all business since everyone shit themselves when he says what he thinks. Great production but I have to disagree, Jett isn’t bad for the sport, he’s just good at it. It’s a competition and he is proving he’s the best, if you want a dramatic script go tune into Netflix ✌🏼
Exactly this…. who are these people who want the sport to go mainstream? Every sport is known to man has only gotten worse in multiple areas while only gaining in viewership after going “mainstream”…
First and foremost Jett is a racer. Has the guidance of his Family and would give it all up for them in a heart beat. Portray him how you want but all in all he’s a good human being. Jealousy is a curse and this is apparent in this stories content.
To say Jett is bad for the sport is as ridiculous as saying Bob Hannah was bad or Jeremy McGrath or Ricky Carmichael or James Stewart were all bad for the sport. Now it's Jett and Haiden Deegan that are raising the bar to the next level . This is great for the sport . Love them or hate them both are going to keep winning until the other riders raise themselves up to that new level .
I used to be a jett fan when he’s was racing 250’s but once he got on the 450 and won everything I stopped. Watching the 450 event is boring now unless he crashes out or is injured horrible to say but that is to me only way the race can get interesting. The 250 class is far more exciting. The person we wanted jett to be will now be deegan and he will do it 100%
True Fans will be there for him to cheer on with or without a girlfriend. Let him be a Teen and young man and live his life his way and respectful with his family. He is our Soccer player, Baseball player, Football player, and more Star sports. Jett is the real deal, and doesn't say crap, he just shows who he is on the track, you can almost see his smile and his brothers when they are racing together. Dreams really do come true and it's not just at Disney, it's at the WONDERFUL WORLD OF MOTOCROSS, HONDA, FAMILY and the BOYS are enjoying what they know they have.
Lucas used to live and race mx in our local area in Australia. He was pretty good too . He ran off to usa many years ago and he has done wonders for many athletes. The big picture is also a huge task making this a main stream sport will take many stars to align not just jett and lucas . Hope everythings works out for both the sport and aussies making big names for themselves.
Couldn’t disagree more. As a fan of a niche sport I like watching him ride and whether I think he’s going to win or not it doesn’t mean he’s going to. Let him mature more, earn some championships, etc. give him time and we’ll see what he does. I hate the negative focus on all places but first place. 2nd place on down emphasis on what a let down it is. I’d like to bring gratitude into our sport and see how that helps grow the sport. Wish the sport would tell the stories of the top 20 to the masses instead of all the focus on the top 3.
Our sport needed jett like we needed mcgrath and rc and dungy and rv and stewart, so jett is good for us now we need a challenger to jett, one superstar is boring but 2 is perfect and 15 guys winning in a season is just confusing on who you want to cheer for, so jett is good now we need just one more star
Good on him if he wants to keep his personal life quiet. I think he will beat McGrath & be the GOAT if stays injury free. Awesome seeing Hunter up with him in outdoors. Both boy’s are making Aussies so proud 🇦🇺
This video makes absolutely NO SENSE for a multitude of reasons: 1. 982 subs - 90k views. Don't believe it. 2. Jett has three sponsors that have nothing to do with our sport (Mvmt - Quad Lock - Anti Social Club). Besides KR, no one has done this since Dungey (Target, Hair Cuttery, Ear Buds, Nike). 3. Lucas has elevated EVERYONE'S salary - this is a fact. Ask the "other riders" including privateers. The fair market value has gone up for everyone since Lucas has pushed the point with OEM's and others. 4. Unlike the "other" riders, the Lawrence brothers have invited fans into their world at the track. Compare this to other riders that hand out a certain amount of tickets for autographs. 5. No one has had a merch drop that has been as successful as Jett and Jett gets the LEAST amount of money out of everyone. Ironically, the promoters make the most money - FYI. 6. I am not sure where you are getting your stats from, but how do you calculate that Jett has done LESS interviews. I see him engaging with anyone who stands in front of him. 7. Lucas is constantly on a plane traveling the world to meet with corporations that are willing to invest in Jett (and Hunter). Money invested in the Lawrence brothers is money that would have NEVER been injected into the sport. 8. Lucas and Dazi have done and incredible job allowing Jett and Hunter to focus on riding, racing and recovering. How about some credit where credit is due. You take it upon yourself to make them out to be "bad guys" - how, why? The perspective you brought to this video is absurd. The Lawrence brothers, Dazi and Lucas will go down as the most positive contribution our sport has seen since McGrath. I find it funny that it took three Australians to make a difference in American motocross! When you are not under the thumb of American promotors and you understand the true value of talent, things change for the better...let me introduce to you the Lawrence family and their agent Lucas Mirtl.
Streaming is a huge pain in the ass! You end up seeing who won before you even get a chance to watch/stream the race. If they want the sport to grow it needs to be easily assessable to watch on regular TV channels that everyone has.
First and foremost, awesome video! Subscribed and looking forward to more. Most or all of my thoughts have already been mentioned, so I offer this comment to the algorithm gods. I doubt that anyone in the Lawrence camp expected so much success from Jett so soon. Between his championships and sponsorships, they've already made a huge amount of money, reducing the financial motive to move Jett further into mainstream awareness. There's Jett's own drive. The rigors of being an elite athlete are incredibly demanding, and competing for championships in that field is another level entirely. Jett may make winning look easy, but the amount of work he puts in to stay at the front must be enormous, and that could make his remaining time and energy very limited resources. Then there's the fame. You can observe a familiar arc in many artists: they start out with a dream, find themselves in the midst of achieving it, revel in having reached the limelight, and then encounter its shadows. Jett may be well along that arc already, and has perhaps seen for himself that fame isn't what it's cracked up to be. "I'm about the money, I ain't fuckin' with the fame" - Vince Staples. To that same point, fame now is probably even more insidious than it was in Pastrana's heyday. Back in the 2000s, social media was still being cooked up in a Harvard dorm room, but now, someone like Jett is at the focal point of a 24-hour content feed and the mercy of its user base. Motocross (and all motorsport) also has its inherent issues of affordability, accessibility, and relatability. The entry barriers are so much higher compared to traditional sports. I remember when Josef Newgarden won his first Indycar title, and fans and media thought they had a household name in the making. Newgarden just won back-to-back Indy 500s. He's still only known to racing fans. In multiple ways, the motorsport nut is a tough one to crack. Beyond all that, and what I don't think has been mentioned yet, is timing. Pastrana rose to prominence right as action sports as a whole moved into the mainstream. The X Games was on national TV and freestyle motocross was just starting to take off. With corporate money and new fans pouring in simultaneously, Pastrana was perfectly positioned to ride the wave, and he did so, all the way to its peak. That wave has long since broken, and even if another one comes along in Jett's prime, it's impossible to know what he'd do with it. Still, Jett is just 20 years old. 20! He can't even drink legally in the US! There is, hopefully, a very long career ahead of him, in which motocross can and should get better ratings than slap boxing and glizzy gobbling. Absolute disgrace. Cheers again for a great piece of content!
Just like trying to hold a beach ball under water you can’t do it very long, and you can’t prevent the cream from rising to the top. JeTT is the real deal and he will continue to win.
Hey man, I really appreciate what you did with this video. I read the comments and.....just as expected, alot of people are misunderstanding what you're doing here and giving you a hard time. Not me! Great job giving us some hard truth in a sport that has WAY too many media gate keepers! Great quality video and editing too! You definitely earned a sub 👍 We need more content creators like you and Chris Cooksey!
I dont believe your comments the sport hasnt advanced since the 80s and your replies think hes having a go at Jett ? = watch the trees ,they are off track also
Just because someone is at the top in their sport doesn’t mean they want to be a celebrity or star and have all the attention on them. Jetts life he can do what he wants plenty of others who can change it.
This whole thread is giving Jean-Michel Bayle vibes. There are some guys that will take the whole sport on their back and try to bring it to the masses and there are guys that are just there to get the job done. JMB was arguably the most gifted rider to ever do it during his time and the fans hated him for the most part because he wasn't giving them enough personality, enough entertainment. He just showed up, kicked everyone's ass, then took his ball and went home. Jett shows quite a bit more personality, but he's not focused on being the savior of the sport, he's just here to do the job. Just how it looks to me.
Americans, particularly ones not in the south for some reason, will boo the home team at a sports game. But I think they love Jett like they love Reed. The French riders don’t get as much love from the Americans, and I think it boils down to the accent which they notoriously hold on to - just look at Shimoda, who just learned English over the last 4ish years and speaks it better than David Vuillemin, who has been in the US since like 1999 Lol
As a Haiden Deegan fan, I don't think Jett is bad for the sport at all as long as he keeps being himself. The biggest time in this sport ever were the days of RC/JS7/Reed battling and talking crap to each other, we have a chance to reach that level again and possibly higher with Jett and Haiden. Theyre two different personalities that will clash in a good way once theyre battling each other. What is bad for the sport, is jealous mfs hating on these kids for not acting like robots. Let them be themselves and embrace it because its way more fun to watch.
Dude, first off. Incredible video, second off never really thought about it from this point of view. I've always thought that the sport will change when tracks will be more accessible and get more kids on dirt bikes but the only way we can get there, is if a rider is famous enough to to demand recognition and change in the shitty ecosystem we have.
No, we will get there when ebikes are accepted as part of the sport with no noise to complain about, no maintenance to piss dad off, and at half the price of an entry level gas bike so you don't have to buy someone else's abused junk just to get riding.
I am glad Jett is there and winning so much. He is showing us their is room for improvement and is going to push more riders to become better, I thought Eli was going to be the one to do it and hoping Deegan would be next to show us SX/MX can be exiting again to watch and follow, also agree with other's that it should become more readily available to watch, here in South Africa its way to expensive to subscribe to a full seasons subscription, open it to youtube to live stream and grow the sport so more enthusiasts can watch and grow the sport
I think everything you are suggesting Jet should be doing, Dangerboy and the Deegans are doing. Every place he goes the crowds are full of his adoring fans. He has a huge social media presence. And his father is only growing his exposure day by day. Without a doubt he's bringing new fans into the sport. I think it depends on a certain personality type also.
Do you really want our sport to become a bunch of Connor mcgregors though where kids grow up being raging dicks to others just to increase clicks? Recent interview of dungey talked about how DeCoster told him he'd be done if he ever threw his bike down again because there are a million others out there that would love to have that - that was in a celebration after a win... Angerboy had a mechanical so he kicked his bike down a hill and slammed his gear around at unadilla because it's clearly nothing to him. Classless. I raced for sponsors too when I was younger and I was told by my parents that if I ever so much as threw down a glove, I was done. I never did, nor did I want to - through mechanical failures, bad days, celebrations, anything because I genuinely wanted to show my sponsor and team that I truly appreciated all of the money, time, and effort. Every coach of mine growing up, in any sport, always taught us to let the scoreboard do the talking. The constant WWE trash talking is the opposite of that - it's just promoting poor sportsmanship. Starting as early as kids start playing sports, they're taught to line up and go shake the other teams hands after a game to tell them 'good game' regardless of what happened in the game; That's the opposite of regularly talking crap on every single competitor, flipping them off, spending most of the event messing with them and trying to knock them down, or showing up at their pits and yelling at their moms. We don't need that. It's just bringing in trash reality TV. People close to him have been saying now he has two personalities too - one is just for clicks. Just be real and don't be a dick. Masterpool isn't a dick and he's entertaining, pastrana, and many others have done that. And he can stop with 'all the haters' as if he doesn't have one of the largest followings ever in the sport - it's just the same 'us against the world' misleading marketing BS the metal Mulisha used when they're one of the most known brands ever. We don't need that garbage
@@BenWilson24 you’re posing a good point, I think the goal is for Jett to be recognized as the good guy like khabib and Deegan can be recognized as the mcgregor but nonetheless be recognized outside of the industry.
@@UnfilteredMX deegan wasn't like this to this extent as an amateur and he was plenty popular outside of the industry. Michael Jordan, tiger woods, and plenty of others brought eyes from outside their sports without being assholes to others
Stop people from suing tracks every time someone gets hurt. Stop politicians from pushing green initiatives who take away riding areas. Stop regultions that add to the expense of bikes. There are many reasons the sport is not growing. It has nothing to do with Jett. Let athletes be athletes.
The problem with Jett is that he does not have the buck wild send it excitement like RV2 ,Tomac ,Stewart , and RC and the other dog fight champs . He just floats around the track and everyone watching just gets bored . Gets the holeshot and just puts around around to a anti climatic finish . Guy is to fast for drama ,
Aussie fans putting down the USA are hurting Jett and a little bit Hunter. Jett has accomplished a ton, well spoken, sincere and good looking. Chad if anyone could stir up controversy, yet he had and still has a great US fan base. It's only recently, Aussie's go personal and attack the US verses just good old banter between US and Aussie fans. It's not fair to the Lawrence brothers.
We need more access...not a guy to stop winning. Casuals will love a guy they know will win. We need youtube and a regular channel to show live races and replays...that will bring more casuals that will hopefully turn into hardcores like us. Also...we have a fast kid coming up that has brought tons of eyes to the sport and he's only bringing more...Deegan
What's really holding the sport back is NBC and Peacock!! When You can't watch a sport as easily as other sports it can never grow, regardless if who is on top Just Sayin
Why do we want it to grow or change? It was better in the 80-90s. I don’t care about a rider’s personal life or want to listen to an interview. I watch because I ride, but not at their level, which is amazing.
Jett is so good he has actually made watching the 450 class boring. That's the real problem I see. Until the competition improves or Lawrence has an injury that shows he's mortal it will turn off the true fan's and only bring in minimal new ones.
Part of the appeal of motocross, enduro, and other forms of dirtbike racing is that they aren't mainstream. That's why they attract the people they do, and why those people are so crazy passionate about it. It has more in common with other niche sports like climbing, or surfing.
Jett is great for the sport. I think his agent has to step up rather then just sitting on the back burner and collecting a paycheck. There is no reason why MX/SX shouldn't be as big as NASCAR. The AMA and MXSports need to spread some of the money around. The factory's need to spend more money on R&D and build bigger teams. The sport absolutely can be much better and much larger than it is.
I'm a huge fan of Jett, but one of the big the differences between him and Travis is that it seems Travis seems to have had a decent education and is quite articulate. He might not have the confidence to put himself out to the wider public like TP.
Channels like yours trying to shit on him isn't growing the sport either. Maybe report on the good stuff so the sponsors get the buzz right? Is this video good for the sport?
I’m posing a different point of view that clearly bothers you. I’m simply stating Jett is the man and he has everything it takes to change our sport for the better, how’s that not clear?
@@UnfilteredMXand you’re saying if he doesn’t the sport will be fucked..why don’t you stick it to peacock and tell them the money they charge is to much and let others re-air it on utube or outlets so the sport gets to the masses and that will be a huge step in making our sport mainstream
@@UnfilteredMX Forget about this jack ass @74awatene. You never put Jett down once in this video. you Sipley pointed out a different opinion and I think you are right on with it. Loved the video keep up this great work. look forward to seeing what you do next.
Haiden deegan is gonna be the guy if Jett doesn’t step up and do it we need these faces to grow and I truly believe that Jett and Haiden will end up having one of the best rivalries we’ve seen since Stewart and Carmichael
Pastrana is an action sports icon. But if you’re talking about the actual sport of SX and MX I’d say James Stewart pushed it into the mainstream more, arguably. He had a whole TV show on MTV, Bubbas World. It was on at 7pm every Wednesday night or whatever. Everyone knew Pastrana and associated him with freestyle, x-games, and even Jackass. But James made everyone understand the difference between xgames and racing. Mainstream looked at Pastrana as a spectacle. James showed the athletic sport of MX/SX
The Lawrence Brother's Story is an epic one (that continues) and our sport should try to leverage that as much as possible. I do understand that having Jett win every moto, without a lot of real challenges is "boring" for fans. Jett should not be ashamed for being so talented in the sport of MX/SX, but I do think he has the responsibility of helping to grow the sport and give the sport more visibility (a wider audience). This is an exciting sport, and more people should be exposed to it and educated on it. We are talking about (perhaps) the highest level of athletes in the world. Jett races for Honda HRC... I remember back a few decades when Honda was also winning with Standon and Bayle... they won a lot of races and championships BUT, and this is a big BUT, they were not superstars... it wasn't until Jeremy McGrath, aka the King of Supercross or "Showtime," came along and put on a "show" for the fans. He won with flair. Pastrana was mentioned, and yes he was a superstar as well... I hope Jett steps up and embraces the lime-light and the public (more). Good video. PS: This conversation wouldn't be complete without mentioning Haiden Deegan... he has the showmanship mentality and the talent to back up his boasting.
People like the Lawrence brothers elevate the sport. Just like McGrath, Carmichael, Stewart before them. For awhile it will be boring. But it forces everyone else to raise their level and ultimately makes the riders even better. The awesome year of 2011 with so many good riders was a result of Carmichael and James and to an extent, McGrath.
This is the exact reason Jett pulled back from this stuff. He caught hate from it and watched the hate that Brian and the entire Deegan family has gotten from their social media channels. Haiden is doing exactly the thing Jett’s agent said he wanted to do, what Brian, The Mulisha, and Travis did in Freestyle… but Haiden gets hate.
Idk man I’ve been to one of the supercross and the amount of fans that were pushing people over to meet Jett was gross. Pushing kids also as grown adults. I think everyone wants to meet them both. They are very popular probably for different reasons.
Deegans. I've been following them since the beginning, i remember watching Xgames when Travis ramped off into the pier. That rivalry is still happening to this day between Brain and Travis. Which is awesome. I think the Deegan family will carry the sport. Mike talks about trying to get the sport out there more and more. My favorite rider is Jeremy McGrath, he was on N64 supercross games while i was young. Which pushed me to start racing, then i got into FMX. Which led me to Crusties, Mike, Brian, Travis, and all the others. Again, i think the Deegans will take this sport further than the Lawrences.
I agree, the deegans already have a fan base, while the lawrence’s had to start and grow their fan base in america, i love what haiden is doing, i love his podium interviews, i hope he keeps doing what he’s doing, i wonder what’s going to happen when he does that stuff to jett and chase in a few years
That's why we have two of the best riders in the world these brothers are Showtime sit back and enjoy once Hayden gets their these boys are gonna put on a show can't wait
Coenen and DeWolf hit the USA in 2026 when Eli, Webb, Anderson, Barcia, Roczen and co retire. In the next 3 years half a generation of riders will retire and be replaced by a bunch of riders who are modelling their riding on Jett Lawrence.
If we want this sport to grow now is the time. But too many people are Karen’s and hate on the 2 biggest stars of the sport right now. Jett and Deegan. People complain about 450s are boring because Jett wins too much so what? He isn’t going to be like you know what I won last race I’ll let this guy win now… Congratulate him and let’s support him so he can help grow this sport, give him the attention. No better time than now to push this sport. There’s no such thing someone as dominant as he is is bad for the sport if anything he is the best thing right now because people can witness someone dominate. Think of F1 Max Verstappen he is always winning but no one complains
The thing is these guys are the best athletes in the world and Jett is a beast and deserves everything he has, 2025 Jett Lawrence vs Haiden Deegan will be crazy
Its sad what the media did to jett this past SX450 season, they have used his off the cuff comments for headlines and you can see he isnt his funny joking self that he use to be when it came to interviews. i think him and Deegan are great for the sport.
happened in surfing, now its happening in SuperCross and the AMA, the brands used to help this guys get to a place, now its all about what you can do for the brand. Jett has nothing to do with this. He is perfectly fine. Team Green 100% speaking

AND FOR ALL SKILL LEVELS AND LOOK AT HOW BIG IT HAS GROWN OVER THE YEARS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE POND IT'S COOL WE HAVE MX SX IN SEPARATE SEASONS AND NOW THEY HAVE SMX BUT LET'S KEEP IT REAL HERE I FEEL LIKE THE SPORT IS GROWN OFF OF THE GRASSROOTS RACERS THE AMATEURS AND ALL THE FACTORY ADD A PRO LEVEL AND I'M NOT SAYING THAT WE NEED TO HAVE MORE CLASSES ON THOSE EXACT NIGHTS BUT YOU MENTIONED THE SUZUKI CROSSOVER RACE WHICH IS THE 125 2 STROKE RACE WHICH IS LIKE ICONIC AND A LOT OF PEOPLE DON'T EVEN KNOW THAT IT EVER EXISTED THERE'S SO MUCH WE CAN DO BUT NOW THERE'S MAJOR GATEKEEPING GOING ON IT BOILS DOWN TO MX SPORTS AND FELD ENT
LIKE I SAID EARLIER I THINK A MotocrossED 2025 A NEW ERA IS A
VERY GREAT IDEA AND WE NEED TO Speak UP THESE TIMES ARE TOUGH FOR EVRRYONE. BUT IF WE ALL WORK SMART AND MAKE SOME NOISE. ITS GONNA BE FOR THE BEST

Mismanagement of the sport and greed is keeping the sport down, not Jett.
spot on 100%
TBF they have the best TV deal right now than they have had in a very long time with a streaming app that isn't overpriced.
@stevefirth6472 💯 👏
Right the AMA and the guys that control the sport are the problem
Settle down Karen, bad publicity is good publicity
Not wrong mate. People expect to much from him, and forget his still a kid. Give it a couple of years and it’ll probably change. But like someone else said, the sports not accessible
Jett stopped being fun before the criticism

Now all riders are on that style of program and they’re going to have to find something extra if they want to run up front.
see my rant above....this BS of making the Riders responsible to also 'grow the sport' while they are the ones PROVIDING the entertainment in the first place is INSANE; Eat, Sleep, Train, Ride is all they do while at their best; MEDIA, AMA, FIM, PROMOTERS and MERCH makers all get rich off the backs of these young athletes while they do 9 tenths of NOTHING except make more rules and look for ways to make the riders and teams pay more;
Just like Politics, the whole 'system' is back to front and arse about face;
i can remember when the sport was being promoted and was 'free-to-air' every Sunday afternoon; that era of the late 80's and 90's grew the sport and then the Money Merchants got involved;
leave the riders alone and let them do what they love to do; if this CORPORATE Money Merchant crap keeps going it will kill the sport; maybe that's 'their' idea...."you will own nothing and you will be happy"
@@bradmatthews3822 well said; it seems most Americans love the drama and love being the centre of attention;
seems they think life is one big 'reality TV show' and want, no demand, their 15 minutes of fame;
when it comes to sport (in general) they hate being beaten by 'outsiders' so much that they will do all they can to create drama in an effort to 'put the competition off their game' while promoting themself at the same time; swimming, tennis, Olympics, Motor-Sports...doesn't matter; Drama and self-Promotion always comes into it;
look at Chase for example; great rider but....he claims to be the fastest; the media clowns tell us he is the fastest; all his American fans tell us he is the fastest yet somehow he consistently fails to finish at the front; "the bike is not good"...."the set-up is way off"....."we've been struggling with this chassis all season" and all the rest of the excuses; if i were Roger Decoster or a KTM executive i would of sacked him long ago for bagging the product that he is paid to promote;
how a few sprint laps in the middle of a race equates to being 'the fastest' escapes my thoughts; a few fastest laps doesn't make anyone the fastest over a 30 minute plus Two laps race. "in order to finish first, first you must finish" comes to mind;
just like JS7 in his hay day, everyone said he was the fastest but how many times did he crash himself out of a race?; again, great rider but he too rode over his or the bikes ability way too often; BUT, he never blamed the bike; he was humble enough to admit "my bad".... doesn't matter what bike we ride or how awesome the bike is, there's a very fine line between being fast and being close to out of control and only along for the ride hanging onto the 'bars for dear life; being along for the ride can only last for so long.
I did not expect this video to be so solid. Well done! Great thought paralleling Jett to Beckham.
Jett is amazing, our sport is amazing. The really amazing thing is how niche it still is.
Nobody will ever beat Travis Pastrana’s charisma, entertainment and popularity
Pastrana is a global 🌎 household name
Becuase he did way more than win motorcross races, he transcended the sport like so many others have done in other sports. Jett is just getting started and people are judging him against legends like pastrana. The kid has been in the spotlight for the equivalent of 2mins. legends are created over time and so is their legacy that lifts an entire sport to whole new level.
Totally agree, though TP himself thinks jet is the guy to carry the torch!🙂
Oh pleaseee, I had to look him up .
If Jett doesn't want to show everyone his personal life that's his decision. IDGAF if you like him or not but, you might as well get used to him winning everything as long as he stays healthy.
Agreed but they’re the ones who said they’d change the norm and push the envelope in the world of moto marketing…
Brian Deegan has already done this marketing thing once, and made millions. We're witnessing him do it again with his son. Jett's agent needs to take some lessons from Brian Deegan.

How is it bad for the sport if Jet is the reason I have come back to watch as a 40 YT old who use to race MX in the 90s early 00s
You will only have haters watches
@UnfilteredMX jett might not want that! He tried probably got distracted and thought i need to do my job first and now hes all about business. The media can be good and bad but mostly bad for people in jetts shoes
That isn't the point. The point is whether or not he is good for the sport..
Who stills has a cable😂

i agree mate, but in the same breath, Jett and his management shouldnt have been banging on how they intend to change the sport i guess. they loaded themselves up with that pressure. words can come back to haunt sometimes.....
This is one of the best dirt bike videos made. Great job
Yes the price for a bike has went nuts . Sell 2stroks for 5k
@@mountjarvisdon’t compare this sport to those because we will never be close to what f1 is

Yes! NEEDS to be FREE!!
Just came here to say every generation has had a Jett
It's been live on UA-cam.....
Agreed 💯. And as for dominate champions the sport grow under Jeremy and Ricky. It all ways dose. Just take MJ and the Bulls for example. Everyone enjoys greatness
Agreed brother, grow the sport and all the family traditional benefits that come with it. 👊🏼🏴
The dude is a great kid and the family is awesome… don’t try to put a weight on him that he does not need to carry…
If the sport needs help, AMA, Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, KTM can handle that!
The sport is huge and we all love it! But is a niche sport! Don try to turn MX/SX into soccer… is too expensive, Risky and loud…
The riders are hero’s they have the worst schedule they race every weekend barely have a off season and are risking their life every time they enter track!
Do you think that’s a dream sport for the American family?!
If you are frustrated that you can’t be rich by being a media of a niche sport that is your problem… don’t try to put unnecessary weight on the kid…
The family risked their house on the sport.
They are a great exemple of professionalism.
the races are really fun to watch and people say he is bad for the sport???

McGrath was dominating Supercross for 7 years, and Supercross was growing like never before. It all depends on what is done around it. He is great for the sport, we still need to wait for the weekend to see who wins, and we should all enjoy that and watch the sport growing. Jett is a gangsta no matter how you slice it. Get used to him winning and watch history being made. He is many levels better than everyone. Buckle up.
He’s literally the smoothest rider I’ve ever watched. Jeremy McGrath is the only other rider I’ve seen as smooth as Jett. It’s like he’s a robot.

The person we wanted jett to be will now be deegan and he will do it 100%
Imagine a character like Valentino Rossi working his way through the classes with his antics it would be ace
True Fans will be there for him to cheer on with or without a girlfriend. Let him be a Teen and young man and live his life his way and respectful with his family. He is our Soccer player, Baseball player, Football player, and more Star sports.

Dreams really do come true and it's not just at Disney, it's at the WONDERFUL WORLD OF MOTOCROSS, HONDA, FAMILY and the BOYS are enjoying what they know they have.
I already don’t care so much about the 450 class. But the 250 is on fire.
Jett still dominating. Get it up ya
Jett is soo good for the sport
Jett used to be a fan favorite, now everyone is turning to who ever else can win 🤷🏻♂️
Good on him if he wants to keep his personal life quiet. I think he will beat McGrath & be the GOAT if stays injury free. Awesome seeing Hunter up with him in outdoors. Both boy’s are making Aussies so proud 🇦🇺
This video makes absolutely NO SENSE for a multitude of reasons:
1. 982 subs - 90k views.
Regular TV is dying. Most people I know cut cable years ago if not a decade ago.
Because the fucking thumbnails show the winner. Dumbest goddamn thing ever.
If Jett did more "celebrity" type stuff everyone would call him a sell out and hate on him even more
First and foremost, awesome video!
Good vid. Raises some interesting questions. I think Jett will grow tired of 'just winning' and venture out like Travis did, more.
Just like trying to hold a beach ball under water you can’t do it very long, and you can’t prevent the cream from rising to the top.
JeTT is the real deal and he will continue to win.

As a true moto fan, idc about the sport being mainstream as long as it is sustainable. I really only care to see Jett on the track getting wins
JMB got sick of all the bs and went and rode moto gp. It’s pretty hard for any non American to get super popular in supercross. Just the way it is.
Fantastic video. Love it and you're so right

Jett doesnt need to give up his life to grow the sport. Manufacturers need to.
Thanks mate, yes most people will look at this as an attack on Jett. It’s a call for help!

Yep, it’s definitely good to see the 250 rider doing what the 7x champ should be doing. Gotta respect it!
@@UnfilteredMXI think that your clear and obvious bias for everything Hayden is clouding your better judgement..

When You can't watch a sport as easily as other sports it can never grow, regardless if who is on top
Just Sayin
Why do we want it to grow or change? It was better in the 80-90s. I don’t care about a rider’s personal life or want to listen to an interview. I watch because I ride, but not at their level, which is amazing.
Jett is so good he has actually made watching the 450 class boring. That's the real problem I see. Until the competition improves or Lawrence has an injury that shows he's mortal it will turn off the true fan's and only bring in minimal new ones.
I basically quit watching 450 outdoors last year.
Part of the appeal of motocross, enduro, and other forms of dirtbike racing is that they aren't mainstream. That's why they attract the people they do, and why those people are so crazy passionate about it. It has more in common with other niche sports like climbing, or surfing.
Deegan may be the hero we needed. The Jett x Deegan Era will be one of the best ever imo
I've been saying this for awhile now, so excited to see what those two can produce once Haiden gets up there
Haiden would have to change his riding if he is to be super fast on the 450. Right now it’s like saying can’t wait to see Barcia and Jett race….
@@invisiblespeedrc dude what 😂 I’d say his style closely resembles Eli Tomac … we saw how horrible he was on 450s right?
@@lawrenceworth1839 sure
How do Deegans lap times compare to Jetts?
Jett is great for the sport. I think his agent has to step up rather then just sitting on the back burner and collecting a paycheck.
There is no reason why MX/SX shouldn't be as big as NASCAR.
The AMA and MXSports need to spread some of the money around. The factory's need to spend more money on R&D and build bigger teams.
The sport absolutely can be much better and much larger than it is.
Great analysis.
So basically Jett needs a new Jerry Maguire.
I'm a huge fan of Jett, but one of the big the differences between him and Travis is that it seems Travis seems to have had a decent education and is quite articulate. He might not have the confidence to put himself out to the wider public like TP.
Nicely done.. Subscribed
Channels like yours trying to shit on him isn't growing the sport either. Maybe report on the good stuff so the sponsors get the buzz right? Is this video good for the sport?
100%.
@@scottmitchell6344this is the first of many videos my man, I’ll make sure to do a video regarding that.
Everyone knew Pastrana and associated him with freestyle,
x-games, and even Jackass.
Jetts awesome, it's just another chapter in the evolution of the sport, sry America it's an aussie.
Aussie Aussie Aussie Lawrence brother are dusting everyone up, well done lads doing us proud take all $$$
People like the Lawrence brothers elevate the sport. Just like McGrath, Carmichael, Stewart before them. For awhile it will be boring. But it forces everyone else to raise their level and ultimately makes the riders even better. The awesome year of 2011 with so many good riders was a result of Carmichael and James and to an extent, McGrath.
Deegan brought way more people to the sport. Just go to the team trailers and you will see and hear everyone screaming for Deegan not Jett 😂
That’s rubbish jett bought 25 million people to the sport
Maybe more Americans, not more people
This is the exact reason Jett pulled back from this stuff.
@@barthur2645 as he should get the hate
I agree, the deegans already have a fan base, while the lawrence’s had to start and grow their fan base in america, i love what haiden is doing, i love his podium interviews, i hope he keeps doing what he’s doing, i wonder what’s going to happen when he does that stuff to jett and chase in a few years
Yeah there were some UA-camrs recently talking about how the broadcast media is a little intimidated by Deegans reach and media of his own!
Also, a lot of Deegan fans dislike Jett, and visa versa, making it even harder for Jett to strive socially.
Jett is doing well. Become number one and make your own decisions 😉
Kids a future legend of legends 🤜
Who are you to call out this young man...
Great video!!
Was Jordan bad for basketball or tiger bad for golf. Dominate champions only grow the sport 💪
Deegan will be the one to fill the shoes that Jett is not and its because of his Genius Father Brian Its already started.
😂😂🤣
Great video. Subbed
