Before I somehow stumbled on Trailmater and Matts Off Road and this channel, If I was standing on that spot and you told me any vehicle had went over that trail I wouldn't have believed you! Those two wreckers are amazing.
I was just thinking this if you told me that 1 one ton dually made it much less 2 I would have laughed but after watching these guys for years im a believer
I just got back from Moab and I can tell you that those trails are way worse than the video shows. And I agree, when i first saw a lot of those 'roads', I thought there is no way I'm going to be able to drive up that.
That was the real deal no take aways on that foreshore. You guys are making history that can never be replaced by high tech new stuff and will always be here to be seen. Incredible video love every bit of it even that city slicker camera guy. Love your channel thank you. Oh and Mara is a trooper.
man the BSF recovery truck looked like it had no business on that trail but with incredible spotting from Rory it made thru and showed the capability of the BSF truck......awesome video
Rory is a beast of an off road driver. Trail mater is also amazing. I've seen videos of that man wheeling almost impossible roads all while towing a jeep without front wheels... he's amazing. One heck of a driver to learn from
I have seen Rory sporting many times. You can 😃 trust him to be professional. The trail Mater is his well crafted machine. Your recovery rig video 😂 was excellent 😉. The square body's ability was proven with this job
12:10 Oh my goodness, can’t imagine what’s going through Eric’s mind on this trail… well done BSF, you went the distance, Rory and Trail M8ter are the beast 👍🏻❤️🇷🇴👏🏼
You took that GMC to a new level on this one. Great video and you can be proud of just having the nerve and confidence to try just a tough trail. I imagine Rory has been there several times.
Cliffhanger is the perfect name for that trail! Watching you two take those big girls out there for a dance was amazing and knowing the limitations of both rigs is even more exciting. Hats off to both teams for getting everyone out safely. 👍🍻
You can tell rory knows those trails well, but you can also see Eric's skill as a offroader by how well he followed rorys directions. I'm sure it made his day alot more fun having someone with the experience ,and the knowledge Eric has of the wreckers capabilities.
he knows who has experience here. a smart man who has no problem following direction from a rock crawler. Eric knows how to learn from others and will soon have the skills from his peers in the rock crawling scene. I could hang with this guy!!!!
OMG that looks so fun! The wrecker is doing so much better than you'd expect for such a heavy truck! I had to wonder why Rory didn't pull you from the boom winch to help lift you up/ over instead of a low pull harder into the rock wall? Either way only 1 assist on a trail rated 8 is good. Great content. Happy you finally made it out there safe after the bad roads & Chevy losing an engine. Keep the great videos coming & have a safe trip home!
Eric, my money says Mara want's those rocks to practice rock crawling with her wrecker. Great video Mater. I like seeing him bounding down the rocks with no effort.
Love that hair-dew Eric, lol, how many times did you think, what have I gotten myself into?, lol, at least you were there with somebody that was very capable, and wouldn't leave you stranded, I'll bet your shackle-bolt broke on that big drop-off, your actually very lucky to get to go rock-crawling with somebody like Rory, great video guys, thanks for sharing.
Eric, ya know, Rory will make a crawler out of you yet. I just want to see the ADD A WELDER video on your wrecker. I know you said it at least three times to yourself. I need one of those on my truck. Great job wheeling and videoing. And now I guess the wrecker is going on a diet? LOL BTW, If you have said it, I missed it. How do you like the steering and other upgrades you did to the wrecker?
You couldn’t pay me enough to be out there yet here you are doing it for free! I also just realized That guy Rory is a heck of an asset to them folks! I don’t imagine AAA would have responded 🤣
AAA is a pyramid scheme! The ones getting screwed are the towers. The only ones with REAL money invested. A AAA vendor needs a full time person on staff just to make sure AAA doesn't screw them out of pay.
Rory seems like a heck of a nice guy. He doesn't seem to have fear, but I think a lot of that is knowing his limits, as well as knowing the terrain. I'm glad you uploaded this, it looks like a lot of fun. But then again, I'm a Florida flatlander, I would have had a heart attack on that trail - lol. Happy Easter.
I love the recovery videos. Anyone can get in a 4WD and go out and break their rigs. Only a select few can take heavy tow trucks out to recover them. My dually isn't a tow truck it's a tow pig and it weighs 11,000 lbs. Definitely not a offroad machine at all. Great job on the wheeling and recovery!!
When I saw that trail I said Are you shitting me? Then I saw the two classic Chevy brutes and I said, oh, no problem. Two classic Chevys driven by two classic dudes? No problem. You guys handled that like NO PROBLEM. 👍👍👍👍👍
Mad props to the BSF Recovery crew. We all know you're out of your element there in Utah, but you didn't come all that way just to sit on the sidelines, wave your pom-poms and look pretty. You're an offroad wrecker for pity's sakes. No sooner do you blow into town maybe hoping for a quiet minute to catch your breath and settle in after the arduous journey West, but oh no. As soon as Rory heard you were local, he was ready to put you to work. Oh well. That's what you're there for. Work is play for BSF Recovery. The wrecker did very well on terrain it wasn't built for, as did the nut behind the wheel.
Amazing watching 2 very similar trucks with VERY different pedigrees tackling the same trail. Rory's out for a Sunday drive & Erik is thinking, "What am I doing out here?" Poor Seat Cover!
That was amazing and I was pleased to see it all come off without serious incident. You did a great job considering the additional weight of your truck. Rory, well he’s as mad as a Hatter ha ha. He bombs along those trails as though he was on a minor dirt track. He is an awesome guy. I think that’s the hardest trail I have seen him tackle so far, its hard to tell cos he tackles so many difficult ones. It makes so much difference having a good spotter. I started off watching Matt’s off road, they introduced me to Paul and gang at Fab Rats, Robby Layton, Rory, Mischief Maker and now you. I’ll start following you as well, I've subscribed, and will look out for Rory’s take on this recovery. Thanks a lot Eric your off road skill were on show today and you passed with flying colours.
For being a mud/trail rig your wrecker did pretty respectably out there. I'm already subbed to Rory's channel so I'm sure I'll see his vid soon as it uploads
That old truck needs a doubler and some exhaust gaskets lol and maybe some sliders. Cool to see full sized trucks doing cool things.. that trail looks fun
Your tow truck showed amazing abilities despite its weight. I would have used up several pairs of underwear on that trail. You were definitely in good hands with the master of Mohab. Great job out there. Now you can conquer pretty much anything the rocks throw you. Stay safe and enjoy.
2 awesome trucks, a group of awesome ppl, and one bas ass trail.. That =s EPIC Hats off to yall for doing what yall do and having two of the most awesome rigs on the planet!
Always enjoy your videos no matter if you're in Wisconsin Utah Nevada Minnesota even if you go to Moab you have the best guide/spotter for the job Mr. Rory
Wow, I think you created your beast with the mindset of the trails you wrecker back home, and Rory did the same with the trails there... I think I would have just rode with him in his dually for the experience...
Turnabout is fair play though. You guys have come all the way out there twice now. Rory and Matt both owe you trips to Wisconsin. The Morrvair and Trailmater both need to come East and put in some time out in the mud and hog slop. Put them to work Eric!
I’d have my hands full following Rory in my CJ. Watching you follow him in a wrecker is a masterclass in off-roading.
If I was standing on that trail and someone said two square body duallys came through there I’d say NO WAY !
Dually tow trucks
Before I somehow stumbled on Trailmater and Matts Off Road and this channel, If I was standing on that spot and you told me any vehicle had went over that trail I wouldn't have believed you! Those two wreckers are amazing.
I was just thinking this if you told me that 1 one ton dually made it much less 2 I would have laughed but after watching these guys for years im a believer
Came to say

I should just go ahead and take some stomach ulcer meds when I see Rory is involved. Mad props to ya'll!!!
Probly feeling like little kids inside ..ridding these wreckers on bad ass terrain like that . Friggin nice rigs boys 👍🤘❤🇨🇦
Rory is a master. Eric you rocked it. Go team
Nope, nope, nope. I'd be hard pressed to walk a lot of that. You're brave souls. Thanks for sharing.
man the BSF recovery truck looked like it had no business on that trail but with incredible spotting from Rory it made thru and showed the capability of the BSF truck......awesome video
Lower gears would have helped
Trucks going where trucks can't go. Pretty good driving for a guy from the flat lands of Wisconsin!
Sketchy trail for that rig good driving
Rory is a beast of an off road driver. Trail mater is also amazing. I've seen videos of that man wheeling almost impossible roads all while towing a jeep without front wheels... he's amazing. One heck of a driver to learn from
I have seen Rory sporting many times. You can 😃 trust him to be professional. The trail Mater is his well crafted machine. Your recovery rig video 😂 was excellent 😉. The square body's ability was proven with this job
For not being built as a rock crawler that thing does pretty good! That rebuilt motor sounds good.
I’m astounded those rigs cruised that trail. I did it in a Jeep lifted on 37’s and thought I was gonna die!
Looking at that trail, and I'm over here saying, "SO MUCH NOPE!" Nicely done! You're friggen brave... one might say you got some... nuts.
Big ones
12:10 Oh my goodness, can’t imagine what’s going through Eric’s mind on this trail… well done BSF, you went the distance, Rory and Trail M8ter are the beast 👍🏻❤️🇷🇴👏🏼
Your group are one of the best I have seen.
You took that GMC to a new level on this one. Great video and you can be proud of just having the nerve and confidence to try just a tough trail. I imagine Rory has been there several times.
wauw!! Epic steering with the wrecker!! I had a good time with a cup of coffee on Easter Monday morning!! Greetings from the Netherlands
Obstacle course from hell! No mercy from that terrain! You guys are totally gutsy...damn! Awesome wreckers..totally impressed big time!
Guys, this one is a home run. your truck amazes me. Mater in one thing but yours is very different, and you went there too!
The entire crews here are so extreme but yet so down to earth, humble and patient. Too freakin awesome!!!
That was a pretty gnarly trail. Glad you all made it in and out without any major damage!!
Cliffhanger is the perfect name for that trail! Watching you two take those big girls out there for a dance was amazing and knowing the limitations of both rigs is even more exciting.
Hats off to both teams for getting everyone out safely. 👍🍻
HOLD my beer..RORY's a Awesome spotter..Great job guys..And gals...
That wind was brutal! Well done!
Hey Eric !! With ALL that has happened to get out there & Then have another SMALL breakdown ,,Is something to remember for sure !! Mara
You can tell rory knows those trails well, but you can also see Eric's skill as a offroader by how well he followed rorys directions. I'm sure it made his day alot more fun having someone with the experience ,and the knowledge Eric has of the wreckers capabilities.
It also shows how well that 9000 lb beast is built!
@@davep1445 very true, and like Eric said he made sure the bolts on his shackles were the weak link.that just shows people this ain't his first rodeo.
And he had spares on board.
he knows who has experience here. a smart man who has no problem following direction from a rock crawler. Eric knows how to learn from others and will soon have the skills from his peers in the rock crawling scene. I could hang with this guy!!!!
@@grogoncom you got that right .
Great driving Eric. Nerves of steel Well done indeed I wouldn’t tackle anything without Rory
Now that's something you don't see every day...two kick ass off-road dually wreckers side by side on PAVEMENT! Looks awesome!
A HUGE thanks for taking all of us with you .
That has to be your wildest job yet! GREAT!!!
Rebuilt engine and steering held up well - better you than me driving that trail, my vertigo was on edge just watching the video.
That was some awesome stuff. Thank you. That wrecker is one tough old girl !
Rory learned of those bumps the hard way! He is a good spotter as well.
LOL
BTW, If you have said it, I missed it. How do you like the steering and other upgrades you did to the wrecker?
Would never have gotten in and out of that trail without it!
Excellent job. Eric you have the record for heaviest vehicle driven on the trail, doubt anyone will beat it.
Wow guy love how you guys work that tow truck, you have everything working good on your rig
Awesome video, Big Red can go places! 👍🏼👍🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Man, they don't call it cliff hanger for nothing! What a gnarly trail. Hat's off to Rory for even doing recoveries out there. Mad respect.👍
I remember Matt saying, he is doing gnarly stuff, but, really, that is worse than imagined.
They should call the trail “ Nail Biter” 😬😲
Can't wait until MATT GETS DONE WITH HIS BEAST OF A WRECKER
Rory seems like a heck of a nice guy. He doesn't seem to have fear, but I think a lot of that is knowing his limits, as well as knowing the terrain. I'm glad you uploaded this, it looks like a lot of fun. But then again, I'm a Florida flatlander, I would have had a heart attack on that trail - lol.
Happy Easter.
I agree, you couldn’t pay me enough and he’s out there doing it for free!
He knows every single rock and turn. Was so great to hang with him !
Wow what a wild adventure! Great video!
That trail is tough enough for a light vehicle. Taking a 9000lb wrecker over it is amazing. You couldn't have a better spotter than Rory.
Insane!! Amazing footage! I don't know how you kept your cool!
This was Awesome, Eric, not at all like WISCONSIN! WOW!! I love watching your videos at home, but WOW!!!! KEEP EM COMING, PLEASE
Thank you for the video.
Wild watching 2 wreckers on that trail! Amazing to see a full body full size wrecker tackle it so well!! Awsome driving!
When I saw that trail I said Are you shitting me? Then I saw the two classic Chevy brutes and I said, oh, no problem. Two classic Chevys driven by two classic dudes? No problem. You guys handled that like NO PROBLEM. 👍👍👍👍👍

What a great video 👍 Thank You very much
Great drive from all.
Great ride of the wreckers !
Eric , watch this and observe how your frame '' Flexes , torques and twists . watch it will help navigate off road !
WOWZERS!
I believe this is the most extreme terrain we've seen ole red go through!
I bet it'd be FUN going wheelin with Rory!
Better than (almost) anything on television. Yet again, an amazing look at extraordinary scenery, and in old trucks with real engines.
Amazing watching 2 very similar trucks with VERY different pedigrees tackling the same trail. Rory's out for a Sunday drive & Erik is thinking, "What am I doing out here?" Poor Seat Cover!
This is about as good as it gets. Two badass wreckers going places most 4X4s can't go! These boys have skills and serious tools for the job.
Good job man I love watching you guys
Some wonderful scenery but also some terrifying drops ….well done guys/gals 👏🏻👏🏻
That was amazing and I was pleased to see it all come off without serious incident. You did a great job considering the additional weight of your truck. Rory, well he’s as mad as a Hatter ha ha. You won’t be disappointed Bernie…
If Mara was afraid on the way in she must have been having kittens on the way out! "Only about 600' ".Wow!
I LOVE watching this stuff, I am too damnable olde for this stuff
Really good seeing those 2 back together again and d*** those trucks are good in rocks where they're not supposed to be
Rory is the master of Moab, but you did very well on unown and unusual terrain for you!
Love it, hey Jeep guys, let us show you how its done with a WRECKER! luv it....... but y'all make a great team, beautiful scenery.
Your tow truck showed amazing abilities despite its weight. I would have used up several pairs of underwear on that trail. You were definitely in good hands with the master of Mohab. Great job out there. Now you can conquer pretty much anything the rocks throw you. Stay safe and enjoy.
That was hell of a trail Eric!!!! I'm with Mara.....I woulda had my eyes closed!!!!
2 awesome trucks, a group of awesome ppl, and one bas ass trail..
That =s EPIC Hats off to yall for doing what yall do and having two of the most awesome rigs on the planet!
Some spots on that trail are a "Pucker Factor" of ten but Rory drives through like a Sunday drive!
Man good thing you added the hydro assist ram.
Even that bypass was hammered @6:20
Great driving Eric … that is one bad ass trail for sure
Wow!!!
A friend in need is a friend indeed.
Awesome driving Eric
The wreckers climb so well. The one shot along the cliff made me pucker.
I started sweating from my toenails there for a bit!
Always enjoy your videos no matter if you're in Wisconsin Utah Nevada Minnesota even if you go to Moab you have the best guide/spotter for the job Mr. Rory
Well Eric now you know what the wrecker can do now
It takes a lot of skill , knowledge , confidence of equipment and the instinct of the terrain ! Great Work Guys !
Whew, I was on the edge of my seat, my anxiety was at 99 just watching you guys wheel through there..Excellent video..
Awesome video. God bless. 👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👵🏼
there was a few times I thought the torque converter must be SMOKIN hot!!
Rory is a good insightful leader…..brings incredible value to groups……. Does more than his share of what is expected…..
Awesome vid. I loved watching your full sized wrecker on that trail. Very clever making that shackle bolt the easy to repair weak link.
Your out there in current 4 x 4 trucks with winches, and engines ,cant imagine with horse and wagon
the rebuilt motor passed the test with flying color! hardcore trails!!
It is quite amazing how capable your nearly 5ton rig is. Amazing temps stayed in check. You were on stall most of the time.
Wow, I think you created your beast with the mindset of the trails you wrecker back home, and Rory did the same with the trails there... I think I would have just rode with him in his dually for the experience...
Cool Cats you guys, Rory is the safety Administrator, he keeps UA-cam Safe.
Turnabout is fair play though. You guys have come all the way out there twice now. Rory and Matt both owe you trips to Wisconsin. The Morrvair and Trailmater both need to come East and put in some time out in the mud and hog slop. Put them to work Eric!
I know the wrecker is a very capable machine but that was damn impressive. Would have never guessed it would do that.
You guys have some balls of steel wheeling those big rigs out there. Awesome stuff!!!
You got that right!
THAT'S AN INSANE TRAIL...WOWSERSSSS
Impressive. Old square bodies getting it done👍😎😁
