After one year of using My AV-30 the LCD panel is fading out. I purchase the AV link to update the software, after that the OAT stop working to never come back again. The customer service is terrible. Spent, about 2 months calling back and forth to solve the problem that never happened. The altimeter adjustment skips all the time when trying to adjust the pressure, and more problems with this unit. No uAvionics for me ever again.
@@foesfly3047 with all honesty. Don't. Go Garmin instead. I took my PPL on a Cessna equipped with a G5 on it and the LCD looks like more contrasty and high quality. I just looks better and sharper. Hard to explain. The guy still flies with that Garmin G5 today and never failed him. At least Garmin gives good warranty. The G5 is offered in Experimental and Certified. The prices are competitive. I just checked and it looks like Garmin G5 has slightly better price now. Check it out.
I agree with your comment on customer service. I can’t tell you how many of my inquiries have gone unanswered. I have the SkyBeacon and SkySensor (exp). Why would I buy more products from a company which doesn’t respond?
And hopefully pricing will come down.

I’m unhappy to hear this. My avionics are all Dynon HDX but was seriously considering the AV30 as a full function backup PFD. Thanks for the warning.

@@ele4853 thanks. I’ll look into it. Didn’t realize it was so cost-competitive.

Some now uAvionix needs to push hard for certified autopilot integration.
What’s happening with pricing?
I love this company. They are disrupting the industry!
