I've never known consoles to be able to do these mods. Only pc I believe. Mac should be able to as well but don't trust me %100 I don't have a Mac. I do have ps4 and ps5 though and have tried in the past to find ways to download them. No luck tho. PC and maybe Mac seem to be the only way Update: looked into it more. Jailbroken Ps3 and xbox360 are capable. I pad, Xbox one. Ps4 are not. Macs are able to as well but you'll have to follow the instructions on the link in the description he put for the downloads

If you followed my old video and can play CDLC, than you are still good to go. This is for new users because they removed CDLC functionality from the RSMods installer!
Re Charters thst make stuff you like / make it well. The smaller arrow on the left "download" button, opens a drop down. One of the options is "add to loved charters". Doing this will then highlight any uploads from that creator in a different color in the Ignition search results list, making it easier / faster to scan the list and see if there is anything new that you might be interested in, or help identify charts that you may enjoy.

Hey guys. Just letting you all know if you buy and download the Rocksmith dlc after downloading the CDLC, steam will make a new dlc folder. You will have to move all your CDLC from the old folder to the new one. It took me awhile before I figured it out. That is if you renamed your dlc folder to something else
I had the og rocksmith on PS3, Just found the 2014 for PS3 at a used game store recently and was hoping i could DL songs for it with in game points/money or something. But learned thats not the case. Which has lead me in a rabbit hole wondering about getting it on the PC. I will have to re-refer to this video when i go to get it for steam, as this video seems clear and concise. Thanks so much!
@@69sergiosanchez I like the songs especially if you get the CDLC that he shows you how to get in this video. You can find so much great music for free. The only bad part is that Ubisoft is not supporting 2014 anymore. It won't let me connect to Ubisoft's online services (not that you really need to be connected). I've talked to people on Reddit who says that lots of people are having this issue. I turned in a support ticket with Ubisoft and I got a response a month later saying that I should get a refund from Steam. lol BUT at this time you are able to download expansion packs (DLCs) from Steam at this point and then get the CDLCs for lots of extra user-created songs without being connected to Ubisoft's online services. I would say yes I recommend it but I don't know what the future will hold for it. You may not be able to continue to buy DLCs but if you have CDLCs I think you should be able to continue to download free songs. Just my speculation.
I had Rocksmith 2014 on my old PC but the GPU crapped out and I just barely built a new one. This is way nicer/less sketch than the first time I modded for CDLC. Thank you!
i may have sent a comment about these instructions don't work, i apologize and stand corrected, i created a sub folder that didn't allow the song to sho in the game but following instructions but didn't created a sub folder in the dlc folder made it work as instructed. Thank you very much

It was an absolute pain in the cock but I got it and it works! Nicely written instructions above, better than the video. One question.. I'm trying to download 'bombtrack' Rage.. instead of a download symbol next to the song there's a shopping cart, do I need to buy these songs?
@@MAA-po7xn if it links you to a shopping page, that means that is an official dlc and can only purchased Customsforge does not allow customs of official songs
so i had to uninstall rocksmith and when i reinstalled it and tried to run the cldc patch. it claims I'm using a pirated version. i have the game on steam and never encountered this the first time I installed it. It worked fine then. Now I'm just confused.
@@sMeekxA209 I looked it up and found out that they patched the game for the new Rocksmith plus service. The patch breaks cdlc. It will not run with the patch and trying to install it will claim you have a pirated version. However if you have steam you can effectively roll back your game by opting into a "hidden" beta. Right click Rocksmith in while on steam, click properties. From their go to betas. There are no betas but you can unlock the previous build by entering "JustInCaseWeNeedIt". Hope this helps.
@@cameroncummings9157 I'm not sure. Maybe check the dlc folder and see if they are there? Also maybe check if your game downloaded the dlc from the marketplace. after I reinstalled, my game did not do this, so i did it manually. If you reinstalled the game they may have been deleted. If that's the case they would have to be redownloaded. This happened to me, but I had backups. Hope this helps.
to find the game folder via steam just right click on the game in the library, go to "administrate" and click on "browse local files". It's much more easy than to browse all folders.
There is a simple way to prevent the Windows Defender from saying the download is potentially malicious. Before running the CDLC setup, right click the file, click Unblock at the bottom and hit OK. Everything should be good from there. I have a screenshot if you need it. All of the psarc files are blocked too but they not need to be unblocked.
I love Rocksmith, and the custom forge is *chef's kiss* the one and only thing that would make it better, is if it had the venues like from guitar hero/rocksmith for a background
I did some (hours) of banging my head against the wall but I figured it out. If any of y’all are wanting to download custom songs lmk and I can help walk you through it. It’s a “permanent” fix if you remember the steps in changing the AppID for any custom songs you download. You are essentially just picking a different dlc that you own and using the program that allows you to change the AppID and applying the ID of the dlc that you own to the song that you downloaded so it will show up when you boot up rocksmith.

thanks bro. i just got another laptop to play on. the other basically melted from viruses and me playing rocksmith. since then ive been playing along with your videos on youtube and joker the anarcist. i got a rack system with an equilizer, compressor, and midi processor for home im setting up and have to learn the specifics on. until then ill be doing the mobile thing with the laptop instead of my phone on youtube. thanks for the easy walkthrough and keep smashing those songs. time for a beer break.

Yes, you just have to have them all running Linux, then run Windows under a virtual machine before following all the steps above as normal.
