5 Times I Was Wrong In VIdeos

- Опубліковано 14 чер 2024
- Welcome to another episode of What Do You Wanna Know. Today I’m talking about 5 times that I changed my mind from what I’d said in Dead End Hip Hop videos. This is about how I feel about what I said and how I think I was wrong. Nothing to do with how YOU might feel about MY opinion. Haha. So save it.
Shout out to Owen W for the topic!

2011 myke was just a real life version of grumpy cat 😾
Rip 😔👊
Pfft no mention of that KKB review? You know you love em now.
Thats what i was thinking smh
I'm so happy you took my suggestion! I can only speak for myself, but I would love to see a part 2 where you talk about the other five videos you were considering talking about.
Yeah, I was thinking about doing that. It may come soon. Thanks for the great suggestion.
Haha 2011 was quite the year. Love your videos Myke.
his rants about how terrible some projects were are extremely funny in retrospect , him and ken would have epic back and forths
@@brandonayong7656 him and ken is the only reason i subscribed lol like that infamous goblin review
Ken: I liked the album, I was actually bumping the album on the way here
Myke: Were you also drooling in an arm chair when listening to it??
Goddamn 2011 C town was a savage
I definitely regret saying that. Ken should have punched me.
@@mykectown lol It's all good, and this is coming from someone who was a special ed kid all throughout school.
what video was this 😂😂
@@aidenbrooks7529 Lil B review
Respect for this one, man. Especially number 1.
I miss the Old C-Town.
Hatin' Lil B C-Town.
But I love you like C-Town loves TLOP.
Lil B is so trash
@@gumquamare8461 if trash means

Then you're right
Myke the Kid C Town back again!
Love you Myke
Putting yourself out there in videos like this takes a lot of courage and there's always bound to be things we regret later on.
Admire the hell out of you for it
Thank you, bro. That means a lot!
Myke's Lil B - I'm Gay review will haunt him forever. B is too far ahead of his time #6Kiss
My Lil B Fire Only playlist up to 16 hours long right now
Myke, I agree staying so long in the fader-video seemed a bit waste of time but calling out the motivation was ABSOLUTELY needed. That shit pissed me off.
You are being a bit hard on yourself even IMO.
I appreciate that.
I need what Myke was smoking in 2011
Sidar Kesen nah what he was sipping. Mike said he was hungover a lot back then
i think melon is cool with you lol, he recently said you were his favourite music reviewer on youtube
Oh I didn't see that. But I know he's cool with me. I was kinda kidding in the video.
I was really hoping Watching Movies with the Sound Off would be on this one lol. Great video! And yes, The Heist is boo boo.
A part 2 of the other five videos would be great!
Fantano's greatest rapper videos were funny as hell. Shame he had to take them down.
This was a dope video, I love seeing people reflect on their old videos like this. Would love to see more like this.
Good you corrected that ASAP rocky review tho lol; I was suprised that you liked his latest albums but not LiveLove
Great video Myke!!! I’d love to see you take this idea back to Deadend and see some of the guys thoughts!! Then you could do your other 5 there
Hell yea I was hoping Live Love A$AP would be on here, such a good album.
Great video, Myke - it takes a great man to admit where he's been wrong, and certainly to go public with it like this. Thumbs up!
my heart stopped for a second when he mentioned asap. i thought he was gonna start hating on testing out of nowhere but came through w a very nice surprise haha.
Great video Myke, keep them coming
That is so dope how you changed your opinion on LIveLove Asap completely! That to me just shows how more open you got towards hip hop with no substence or crazy lyricsm (atleast from what I've seen, i dont know you personally but from watching DEHH). The relationship you have with Rocky's music is exactly what I have with Travis Scott's. I was hoping you changed your mind on Rodeo but you never liked Trap atlanta shit (I think so atleast, correct me if im wrong) .
Keep up the good work Myke!
Y'all forget to mention The New Cal-assic review. Everyone knows that shit's an instant classic. Stop sleeping on my boy Mr. Chuchesta
In all seriousness though video's like this is why you are one of the dopest content creators around.
Introspection is great. You can be super stubborn but so can we all!
Definitely do a part 2 if you’re up to it!
loved this video. we all learn from mistakes
I knew Live.Love.A$AP would grow on you eventually. It's a great project that has aged really well and while he's not the best lyricist like you said, he just picks beats that are so unique, but still bump and he rides them like no one else.
Good video. I can only imagine things I would of said about certain albums and artists years ago and how my opinion or approach has changed now.
I ain't no basic bitch but death grips was something I had to get used to but worth the wait to get into.
i always found it strange how much you liked Macklemore and Ryan Lewis initially, they always sounded like a cheesy watered down poppy Atmosphere to me
Battered Sphinx I definitely remember hearing them for the first time and thinking: "this is probably what hip hop heads in the early 2000's who hated Atmosphere thought Atmosphere sounded like"
Yeah, looking back I don't really get it either...
I don’t understand how you couldn’t have changed your opinion on lil b, sure he’s got some throwaway stuff but that doesn’t change the fact he was incredibly innovative/influential (6 kiss came out in 2009) his lyrics are actually great when he wants them to be, as far as delivery it’s so uniquely him and really what makes lil b lil b, as someone who’s as open to experimental music as yourself as well as being a life long hip hop fan I just don’t get how you couldn’t at least respect him and appreciate at least a few select cuts, you even mentioned clams casino in this vid who lil be essentially put on, they make one of the best producer + rapper combos
Do you also not get how people can hate your favorite food? I know, man. Life is soooooo wild.
I knew myke was going to say lil B, KKB, curren$y, Travis Scott & cal chuchesta
Glad you seeen that A$AP album how good it was even tho clams casino and SpaceGhostPurrp influenced the album a lot
Damn myke loved the heist? I don’t remember that lmao but lowkey he had balls to say he loved it in the first place
I respect this video, a lot of people can’t own up to their past fuck ups or wrong things they’ve said
Oh wow I wasn’t expecting that needle drop fader thing but I remember totally disagreeing with you on that
Whatever you said or felt in the theneedledrop case was true and right, specially at that time when the topic was hot! I had exactly the same thoughts that you had.
This is just my opinion btw.
I agree with the whole The Heist thing, and in retrospect it is kinda disappointing as well, because Wings showed that they had true potential that they never really lived up to.
I wish I liked 'Testing' as much as you did. 'Till this day I don't know what to make of it.
I guess it's not for everyone. But I still love it!
It's a fire album imo, but it maybe his worst
I still bump Testing weekly, shits fire!
Moo is the best board on 4chan.
Yeah, and herpes is probably the best STD. Still sucks.
I hoped u would bring up guilty Simpson
I'd still like to hear the other times you thought you were wrong in videos, tbh
lol that Mackemore "sooo deep"
Testing is still amazing!
Yeah very overhated
Damn you were all over the place back in the earlier days of DEHH lol like I can understand not liking LiveLove cuz even tho it's dope asf it was so different back then. And cuz the genre started changing dramatically in the earlier 2010s I can understand there being a disconnect with people who were listening to hip hop for 15 years+ by then. But Guilty Simpson? Damn lol. Even before Random Axe I thought Ode to the Ghetto was dope asf.
You're still tripping when it comes to Lil B tho. Maybe you'll come around in a few more years cuz Lil B is still way ahead of the game.
I forgot about half of these reviews or missed them but you sold me on going back to see your takes in these lmao. Idk how your opinion hasn’t changed on lil b tho I think y’all are still so wrong about that. He’s the one guy where I think our generational difference really comes in. He STARTED meme rap, he basically started swag rap. Everything people give soulja boy props for belongs to lil b honestly
Oh wow I didn’t even remember you guys reviewed random axe, but hearing how you’re talking about guilty Simpson sounds like i wouldn’t like it and Sean p might be a better MC then guilty Simpson I don’t think that’s a diss or anything
So you still think yeezus is an experimental Fisher Price álbum???
Testing is absolutely fucking amazing
Was that really a DeathbombArc ad at the beginning of a video? They buy ads? Myke would have an ad like that? What is this?
Myke, I double dare you to grow a full beard.
Myke never fails to shit on Lil B
hey myke, when you brought up mac miller, i just remembered dehh didn't drop a review for his latest album, any reason why. cos you've done msot of his albums so far
Anshu Dhar they didn’t want to do an album review after his death. I remember they said it felt odd to do.
When did he bring up Mac Miller?
I never brought up Mac Miller in this video. I said Macklemore. But I mentioned previously that we filmed a review for Mac Miller's album but didn't release it because it was less than positive. No point in releasing a negative review for a dead person. It seemed distasteful and pointless.
Myke C-Town I’m retarded lmao but thank you for answering.
Thank god he mentioned asap
Testing was underrated as fuck
Here from the DEHH Encore livestream
2:08 Coulda just watched the first 2 Terminator movies
Now do a funny moments of DEHH.
no
RESPECT
Lil B inspired me growing up
Live Love is gonna be a classic later down the line, but I still feel like you underrate Lil B quite a bit. He's super creative and whacky with the ideas he comes up with too. But I get if it's not your thing. God's Father and Black Ken are really interesting listens.
"I get if it's not your thing but I feel like you underrate him." Haha. I don't underrate Lil B. I think he's a terrible rapper who has managed to amass a huge following based off a big joke. If other folks like him, then great. But my mind will never change on him, bro.
@@mykectown Lol, just my opinion Myke. not saying he's the best in the world but he does have great songs and heavily influential to the hip hop landscape. I even said I get that if it is not your thing, but even artists you like have been influenced by Based God (and Spaceghostpurrp) like Rocky and Denzel Curry. It's all good, stay based my friend nothing but love.
I mean to bring this up in the most respectful way possible, but I went back and watched some of the older Mac Miller reviews.
In the "Macadelic" review you said Mac was rapping about "fake struggles". I'm sure it was an off the hand thing, but it really caught me by surprise.
Seriously, man. How could you possibly bring that up in a respectful way? The guy is dead. How about you let him rest in peace and not bring up negative shit people said about his music well before he was gone.
Just think it emphasizes the point that no struggles should be downplayed
@@BrokenControllerz Yeah, cool, man. You really showed me. Really respectful, too, that you're using a dead artist to make a pointless point. And I think this emphasizes that you brought this shit up in the most disrespectful way just as I thought. I could get detailed into how drug addictions and personal struggles are not intrinsically tied and how people aren't obligated to relate, understand or empathize with everyone else's idea of hardships...but what would be the point when all you wanted to do was make your grande point? So yeah, good job.
I agree that no one is “obligated” to relate to any one specific struggles because everyones’ lives follow such a different course. But saying you can’t relate to a struggle is definitely different than calling a struggle “fake”.
@@BrokenControllerz What the fuck is your point, man? The ONLY reason you're saying this shit is because Mac Miller is gone. If Iggy Azalea was out here rapping about being depressed because folks made fun of her makeup or because of her broken relationship with A$AP and I said those seemed like y'all wouldn't say a word. You're coming off mad phony. This review was 7 fucking years ago and I said I can't take someone seriously when they're rapping about the sadness of being rich and famous. Guess what. Fantano said the exact same shit. Are you leaving these comments on his videos, too? I don't remember saying anything about "fake struggles" but even if I did...so what? I'm not giving out some fake ass apology over that just because the artist is no longer here. And you trying to force this convo is wack.
This is cool you did this I asked b and feefo this and they say the never change their opinion
They're a lie...
If you found 10 I'd be interested in the future to hear the other 5
I thought him clowning tf outta Big Sean would’ve been on here, “he went from shit to a booger” but nope lmao
I started to smell butter biscuits at the end of the video
Anthony is a forgiving melon
Old Dehh myke was wild, I still think Sean price is a lil nicer, but guilty a great rapper
Me: *sends Myke C-Town video about why "white music" and "black music" are dumb classifications*
Next day: *five times I was wrong*
Pls Myke, pls don't say you were wrong on this one lol
Edit: ok, this seems to just be album opinions. I'm a fucking idiot
I used to make mistakes all the time in my videos but I never change my mind.
This video is too short😂😂 nah joke
glad you admitted tame impala currents is a masterpiece
@𝓛𝓸𝓼𝓽 𝓲𝓷 𝓗𝓮𝓪𝓿𝓮𝓷 mbdtf is a masterpiece tho 🤷🏽♂️ 3rd best rap album ever imo
@𝓛𝓸𝓼𝓽 𝓲𝓷 𝓗𝓮𝓪𝓿𝓮𝓷 really 😳
@𝓛𝓸𝓼𝓽 𝓲𝓷 𝓗𝓮𝓪𝓿𝓮𝓷 I used it kinda think that until I actually broke it down and see its genius
Can you check out this rapper named Cambatta? He's dope asf
While the fader article was bad, Fantano legitimately did a bunch of sketch stuff like having Sargon on his podcast and doing that questions for SJWs video with a bunch of other sketch people.
I agree. Fader jumped out the window completely, and as a result nobody has ever had a sensible discussion about the fact that Fantano seemed blind to a lot of the bullshit he was legitimizing at the time. I 100% don't think Fantano is right wing, but he seemed naive to what Sargon, Kekistan and all that bullshit was really about. Sargon has since gone on to attempt an actual career on the far right, and Sam Hyde was never really any mystery. Fantano's total inability to hear the dog-whistle was a shame, and someone should have mentioned it to him before some assholes like Fader got hold of it.
Vincent Stephen whats the story bout the sam hyde dude?
@@MrFlixke He's an edge lord from "Million Dollar Extreme." They ended up getting their show cancelled for putting alt-right memes in it. Look him up - he is a piece of work. Or just listend to the podcast fantano did with him.
"Moo"
Lil b is the best rapper smh one day myke will see the light
Tevas are dope tho
No.
Lil B does not suck
you gonna get cursed
No mention of YEEZUS? what?
I was 100% correct on that shitty album.
@@mykectown nah man imo it's kanyes 3rd best album 🤷🏽♂️
I loved The Heist too one it first dropped but can’t stand it now 😂😂 so damn corny.
Fantano might hate Myke but MC Danglin Ballz is his jam
I was under the impression that they were friends
TBH if you hadn't weighed in on the Fader conversation, the rest of the DEHH crew would have made asses of themselves. I don't think you came across as bad as you're thinking but this is my two cents.
I appreciate that.
Lil B slander :/
You was such a backpacker lol
Also those fantano vids were shit, they were both wrong
Are you even that much older then fantano? Maybe he gets the meme stuff and you don’t but you’d have to be in your 40s to be older then him right?
Geez Myke, what's wrong with you?
What does that mean?
I never got Fantano's Memes and that's all on me cause meme culture is not my bag at all. 95% of the time i'm thinking to myself *What?* Fader are douchebags for the Cancel bullshit they tried to pull on Fantano.
ASAP Rocky is a dope dude but his music still blows
