For those who are about to restring their Cordoba mini, i just did it yesterady and it was my first time with this guitar, I recommend to tie three knots for the thinnest string and two knots for the second one, otherwise is going to be loose from the bridge pins. At first i did it like the description but when i was tunning the bridge pin was going off so it was the ball end. I decided to make an extra knob and lt worked for me. Nice strings btw
These are Aquila Strings (made in Italy) in that the Treble Strings are made out of Nylgut, and the Bass Strings have a Stranded Nylgut Core wrapped in Metal.
You can that's what I do. You just have to feed the string through the holes first, then tie a hell of a ball knot on the inside end (so it won't come out of the hole). Then you just put the pegs in and cut the excess off. I use the same strings that I use on my full size. Tying the ball knot is very easy on the bass strings and very difficult on the trebles, but after a couple of tries you'll get it.
So I love the Córdoba Mini and the idea of the product I REALLY want one to have around the house and to bring to work. But the only thing that is setting me back is that it's not steel string. Do you guys have a steel model of the mini?
They don't have a steel string version, but you could check out the La Playa steel string by them. It doesn't have a full classical neck, but it is a travel guitar
I restrung my "Mini" with the Official Cordoba "E" set and as I do with all my newly strung guitars I proceeded to pull/stretch the strings. I broke both low and high e strings...I haven't broken a "New" string in decades. I have other nylon and steel stringed guitars and never have had a problem "stretching " strings on any of my other guitars. I'll try again...anything I'm doing wrong? --Van
Ian Gonzalez - cordoba mini string set - e tuning. no steel strings, neck has no tension rod and would not be strong enough to handle the tension of steel strings.
Hello, I heard once that we can prejudice the neck by removing all the strings when restring, just as you did on this video. So, there's a real problem, or it's just a myth?
Eduardo Silva Thanks for your interest in the Cordoba Mini and for your question! You can absolutely restring your instrument one string at a time if you prefer, but it is not absolutely necessary. Our experienced Cordoba technicians restring guitars daily by removing all strings without ill-effects to the instrument. We simply advise that you don’t let your instrument go without strings for weeks or months at a time. On instruments with truss rods or electric guitars with vibratos, some additional adjustment may be needed after the restring, but removal of the strings in and of itself will not cause any damage. We hope this helps and from all of us, enjoy your Cordoba!
NOT GOOD STRINGS with 2 packs i have : i spent a lot of time with this video and i made a comparison with my old strings (stock) the little gold ball was in the strings (so much more complicated) and not close to the strings like they say here - second, be careful to the e string for the installation : bridge and tuners or it won't hold very well (ejected like the gold circle) - third i spent a lot of time to install all my strings correctly but i noticed the E strings had problems The E string (the biggest one) frays and therefore, with a fine string it can not be in tune and breaks so, i tested another pack and it was the same: so i said it's a shame i played with all kinds of strings : d'addario, Ernie, Fender, Elixir i had never had problems like that and the price were not so expensive so i can't play with my guitar :the guitar is correct even if the action can be high the tuners are not fantastic the strings became black fast so i decided to change them : i bought the special edition of Aquila- Cordoba strings for E tuning and not A like in the beginning these strings were especially made for the Cordoba mini i followed step by the step the video : it was not so easy like the other acoustic or electric guitars i followed your instruction at 200% but the problem came from the E strings : they can not be in tune too much tension so the string frays : it become like a destroyed string in some seconds for a brand new pack and with that price, the string can't fray and yes, they did it so i have asked if all the packs are like that (i have tested 2) or if these 2 packs had some problems i am really disappointed with these strings i hope they can give me a solution soon
this tutoral is deceptive the A string broke me twice, with two packs of strings without the A strings, before understanding that a knot had to be made around the string !!!!! do them well the tutorals !!!!!!!

How often is "regularly"?
can we use regular nylon strings without beads?
You need Ball end strings

I love learning ❤️
what model is this?? The cordoba mini that I have found is only for nylon strings

What is the tuning for each string when it is in A ? I can't find this info anywhere.
A(6) D(5) G(4)C(3) E(2) a(1)
If you buy the Cordoba Mini Strings it says it on the packet
I just had a tuner stop work😢 on my Mini 2. Love the guitar
I changed the tuners on my Mini M. (grover)

same here! first string broke many many times. make a huge knot (like double double) did the job for me.
Is it possible to set this guitar to standard E tuning?
Yes but the strings are floppier and don't sound as responsive or loud.
They have a separate set of strings you can purchase that are made specifically for standard E tuning. They run about 13$ on amazon.
fakeplastic31 what are those strings called and can you put steel strings on this?
Ian Gonzalez - cordoba mini string set - e tuning. no steel strings, neck has no tension rod and would not be strong enough to handle the tension of steel strings.
fakeplastic31 thanks. Could you set them in e tuning with steel strings?

Eduardo Silva I heard that too. I hope Cordoba reply to your question.

Muchas gracias. That debunks an old myth very nicely.
Cordoba Guitars Thank you so much for your answer . ^^
Cordoba Guitars could you put steel strings and tune it like a normal guitar?
NOT GOOD STRINGS with 2 packs i have : i spent a lot of time with this video and i made a comparison with my old strings (stock) the
little gold ball was in the strings (so much more complicated) and not close to the strings like they say here
- second, be careful to the e string for the installation : bridge and tuners or it won't hold very well (ejected like the gold circle)
- third i spent a lot of time to install all my strings correctly but i noticed the E strings had problems
The E string (the biggest one) frays and therefore, with a fine string it can not be in tune and breaks
so, i tested another pack and it was the same: so i said it's a shame
i played with all kinds of strings : d'addario, Ernie, Fender, Elixir
i had never had problems like that and the price were not so expensive
so i can't play with my guitar :the guitar is correct even if the
action can be high
the tuners are not fantastic
the strings became black fast so i decided to change them : i bought the special edition of Aquila- Cordoba strings for E tuning and not A like in the beginning
these strings were especially made for the Cordoba mini
i followed step by the step the video : it was not so easy like the other acoustic or electric guitars
i followed your instruction at 200% but the problem came from the E strings : they can not be in tune
too much tension so the string frays : it become like a destroyed string in some seconds
for a brand new pack and with that price, the string can't fray and yes, they did it so i have asked if all the packs are like that (i have tested 2) or if these 2 packs had some problems
i am really disappointed with these strings i hope they can give me a solution soon
phenixreturns I used normal nylon strings for 1/2 size guitar and it is ok I guess. But I am waiting for this e tuning set from cordoba to try.
phenixreturns same thing here, i can get the string to work , tried 2 sets already
The solution would be to polish the holes in the tuning machines.
The strings are not identified. It's not easy to identify each string.
this tutoral is deceptive the A string broke me twice, with two packs of strings without the A strings, before understanding that a knot had to be made around the string !!!!! do them well the tutorals !!!!!!!
wish i waited until the mini II.. this one is really annoying, trying to sell it
