Ι accidentally started watching your videos guys, among other romania food tours, and all i can say is that im amazed.. Im 5 days out, from my trip to Bucharest/Brasov, and i have completely writen down, every single info you give in your videos !! The honest and magnificent reviews in every food tour are the best out there.. Well Done ! Greetings From Greece. I wish you all the best since the ROMANIAC era is finished .
Congrats for another great video :) This will definitely go viral with all that good food. Thanks for the review, I will definitely go and eat there the next time I visit Brasov.
Just discovered your channel.. guys, you're doing an amazing job!! You deserve millions of subscribers. As a Romanian abroad, watching your videos makes me miss home ♡
Hi Guys, You picked our go to places in the Brasov area. Transylvania has so much to offer for a great holiday. We will be returning in August. We can't wait. Thank you for your video keep up the good work.
I highly recommend you guys to check next time also "Bistro de l'Arte" and "Glod". Although, the most of the restaurants near Opus 9 are very good. Cucinino is by far the best pasta place in town. Keep up the good job!
The next time you go to Brasov, definitely go to the Sergiana restaurant...it's everything you could want from a restaurant. On every visit to Brasov, I didn't miss this location for a traditional tasty lunch.
"Mici" is minced pork and beef meat with spices and some garlic. Also, "Stana Turistica" is a Sergiana restaurant, and is near Poiana Brasov, before the entrance in the village, so not in the actual Brasov town. The best Sergiana restaurants in Brasov are located on the Muresenilor Street and the AFI City Mall. Btw, Cuccinino is NOT the best italian restaurant in the Old Town, nor in Brasov in general. Most likely that title goes to " DEI FRATI ", located near the old town sqare and Black Church, right in the middle of the old town. It is regarded as one of the best and most authentic italian restaurants in Romania. And from my experience, and I eated multiple times at both of them, the food is actually better. It's a small location, but it's worth all the pennies. You need to check that out next time !
Hello! If you are still in Brasov, try also the pizza from Un Trancio e Via. It's realy good. It's close to the center of the town. And if you are into icecream try some from Gelato Mania if they are open. They make artisanal icecream.
Romanians can be very friendly. A westerner might think we cross some personal space, but we don't have that in our culture, i think! We go in someone's face if need be! We have no restraints: we feed you, we slap you on the back, We tell you our most intimate problems, on first acquaintance etc. if we feel like it! That sort of thing!😜
Glad to see you love the food from my town, but I'll admit Sibiu has better things to offer in terms of food, make sure to check Kombinat or La Cuptor when visiting it again because they take romanian food to just another level. Cheers!
Guys u are a banger lol...romanian citizenship please! Please do visit my home bucovina. Its the area of monasteries food nd picturesque landscapes. Its a hidden gem... check up the guys from jetlag warriors. Its like no other place.
Could you talk about romanian gipsy and romanian Women? Maybe tell some experiences. Are you single? And what is the best new thing you experinced in Romania, something you never felt before anywhere else.
Interesting, but as a Romanian i never go and eat there. I usually make my own food, i very rarely eat at a restaurant. Our traditional foods are not made in restaurants like this one. If you want original food go in special "pensiuni" with Romanian food specifics. The Romanian restaurant this days kinda destroy our traditional and original foods with their own modern made up foods.
No, they don't destroy it, they promote it! The fact that food at home and food in famous restaurants is not identical is valid for any country in the world. Do you think that Italians usually cook pasta with automated boiling devices and put it in giant parmiggiano wheels? But how many people in the world (or even in Romania outside of Moldova) have even heard of alivanca? But now they did. People will cook at home in whatever way the want to and these restaurants should be applauded for taking traditional recipes and giving them a bit of fancy presentation. That's marketing, that's promoting, that's the way to prosperity.
Some people can't cook for the moment or want to relax with friends/family. In the past it was a norm for Romanians to eat at restaurants at least once a week (that's what my mother told me). I've seen dishes made to perfection in some restaurants, better than any person I know ever did. If you rarely eat at restaurants like you said then don't make these false assumptions not knowing how properly our traditional food is made there.
@@MishikiCx Well, eating out very often was far from being the norm during communism when I grew up. Very very few could afford to do that. But now it's a common thing, most everyobe I know eat at least one of meals each day (usually the lunch) at a restaurant (or order foid from one) But otherwise I agree, some restaurabts are vèry good and anyone who wants to eat exclusively at home can still do so, nobody is stopping them. :-)
That's bistro food, not local. There are rented spaces that prepare supermarket stuff. Locals are eating in restaurants like Casa Tudor, Sergiana, Ceasu Rau, Roata Norocului, Ciucaș, where they make romanian food. Why would you eat pasta in Brasov? We're not in italy! Those are just tourist traps!
Are you serious? Have a bit of respect. These restaurants are really good and they are no tourist traps. We did a Brasov food tour and not a “Romanian food tour ” or “local food tour”. we did that already…. Watch that than. We don’t have to try Romanian food 10000000 times in each city. Doesn’t makes any sense. We just check out the best places in each city. Doesn’t matter if they are Chinese, Romanian, German or Italian. Your comment is very impolite and a shame for Romania! You are not welcomed on this channel… just to let you know!
Why would you eat pasta in Brasov? Because, if done properly, pasta is GOOD. I eat it everywhere. Also the best croissants I've ever tasted were in Munchen and I've had great Indian food in Vienna. Crazy stuff! :-D
@@DukeOfTheYard because the pasta and croissants are bistro foods, frozen and heated. The locals are not eating in that kind of restaurants. They are just some rented spaces in old basements who cook some basic stuff, only what they have in the menu. Locals from Brașov don't eat there. Why? Because they're ripoffs for tourists. The locals eat in real restaurants, where I mentioned. Where they cook fresh real food. Beside that, what's so difficult in making some pasta? They have the instructions on the pack. Fr, u reccomend salami & croissant as local food? U disrespect my home bro!
Even though i've been to Brasov 20 times already, i've never discovered these amazing places...so, next time i will give them a try! Many thanks!
I've lived in Brasov most of my life and I still haven't been to any of these restaurants either haha
Few of them are new!!!
