Adding Drip Irrigation to this Del Mar Succulent Garden Installation September 20 2021

- Today Greg fixed some broken irrigation lines while the crew set up the new drip irrigation. We decided to individually ring each plant, with the exception of the cacti. If we had planted tapestries, which include softer more fragile succulents, we would have also installed micro drip. After we completed the irrigation setup, Greg turned on the water to check for any leaks, then we buried the lines. Tomorrow will be our last day. Tune in to see the grand reveal! Thank you all for watching and if you haven’t already, click that subscribe button to see more.

Adding Kalanchoe 'flaps' in front of your San Pedro 'phallus'
Awesome combo! 😉😂
Wow can’t wait for tomorrow with the rocks put in. You Rock! 🪨
Excellent seeing the whole process. We're learning learning learning!
Loving this Team DFS ❤
Can’t wait to see the progress tomorrow!
Those agave ray of lights are so exquisite especially in a trio. You are SO inspiring.
this is just amazeballs!!!
Don’t think I didn’t see you purposely standing above that phallus🤣
Thank you for sharing beautiful and amazing place can't wait to see when it is done have a blessed day
Glad I found this video. I thought about using the thinner spaghetti soaker line, my garden is a very small area. I wont be able to flush the line in the way you have your setup here so I’m worried it will fail over time, due to calcium buildup with our hard water etc. But I’m willing to water it by hand anyway so for as long as the drip line works, is acceptable.
Irrigation is absolutely necessary. I have been holding out because I thought I didn’t need it but my yard would be so much better if the plants got the moisture the need.
Hello Laura
First thing this morning, after making a coffee, was to look you up to see how your installation was progressing
Looks fantastic
Learning so much from you
Cheers ❤️❤️❤️
Love this video…. Love the install and most of all the details on the irrigation! Love it!! 💕I would love to see a clip of Greg’s overflow thing-a-majigy afterwards. 😉
Every project you do is beautiful and another learning experience. I learn and improve my own, u-tube taught, succulent garden. Unfortunately, I had a bad irrigation job done and must replace the split tubing of the drip irrigation. Are the loops around the plants using 1/2" tubing or 1/4" tubing?
Could Greg do an educational video on irrigation? It is a huge part of doing a whole front yard and since it goes under dirt and rock best to get it right from the start of deconstruction. I live in Nor Cal zone 9B, 105 in the summer and I want to be smart about my watering. With the irrigation going under the dirt and then 2" of rock is the water getting to the smaller shallow rooted succulents? And with heat anywhere from 95-105 what would be a recommended water schedule? Would love more details on the flushing system as well. Sorry Greg I am geeking out over your irrigation and dying for more tips :)
Amazing and inspiring.
Wow, está quedando bien bonito como todos tus trabajos.
The upper left pot with the tall spire cactus looks like it is tilted slightly to the left.
El resultado de todo este trabajo, seguramente sorprenderá y nos dejará satisfechos de verlo. Gracias por compartir 😀👍🏽👏🏽
Wow nearly done
Cullen is cool
Hi laura great video! Where can I buy and what brand is this kind of Sub terrenian drip line? Thanks
That’s my problem is grubs but I’ve never seen one like this wow!
That grub will turn into a green June bug.
Reminder to bring the Pedilanthus bracteatus from home tomorrow to the install!
Oh my gosh! Thank you🤦♀️🙏
So after you lay the irrigation lines you then cover with rock. Do you use any kind of cloth under the for weed control?
Uuugghhhhh I wish I could find some dasylirion longissimums here in florida… I’ll be the envy of my neighborhood with that beautiful plant in a huge clay pot 😩😩😩😩
I would just be happy to be able to pronounce the plants name! It's a tongue twister lol
Is the strappy trunked plant a Nolina nelsonii? Or what is it? Thx
they took back the lava rock and ull get a half size instead. thats good business.
👋😃
Pois é. Semana .
¡Muchas gracias! So interesting! I have a question, how do you span the driveway or the retaining wall with the irrigation lines? Or are they separated?
Yes. They are separated with zones spanning the whole of the property😊
What's the Aloe species with the silvery foliage?
Why can't you return the unused lava rock?
Uhh I’m in Texas but if you don’t know what to do with that black rock you got extra of you could always send it to me ! 😄😂 also, why did Hannah want to show us the grub 😭😂
Hannah is weird.
Thanks for showing the grub, when doing landscaping always run into animals, thanks for pointing out how they benefit composting,i know so many people will kill every caterpillar they see but go on and on how they love butterflies.
That looks SOO GREAT!! 💕😍❤💕😍😍❤ btw Laura I have a weird question, have you ever had a Karen client? that would be terrible!! 🤣🤣 love you!!
No Karen’s (Thank the Lord)🙏
