I thought it was Tom Petty!
But Cheap Trick are great in their own right!
No doubt about it.

They are STILL the best fuckin' band you've ever seen. Truth.
It is so incredibly sad to see groups I grew up with get old! One of my favorite bands of all time!
The hardest working band in America. Amazing how Robin's voice has changed so little over the decades. Great video and audio quality, thanks for sharing.
Love Cheap Trick, but there's like 50 other classic bands saying they're the hardest working band in America. Wouldn't disagree with NY of them! Rock on Boys
Rick said.."we're too dumb to quit"..I hope they never quit..just wish Bun could be there.
@@Jerknoir-a-saurus ... did he? ... mwwell, he kicked a lotta ass along the way! one of the 1/4 best goddamned bestest bands ever... ;0 and still the most one-of-a-kind drummers that ever existed.. in that pantheon along with neil peart!
@@Jerknoir-a-saurus what he say... need to know
@@chrischampagne4307 - After SGT. PEPPER LIVE came out, the band was offered a 100 show stint in Vegas to do that act. Tom, Rick and Robin proposed a 50 show booking, after which Bun E. got shitty. Robin didn't want to up-root his family, and have one of his kids put in to a new school, etc. Bun E. didn't like that reason not to do it, and said so. Robin couldn't believe that, after almost 40 years, Carlos wouldn't honor that. On top of that, after Cheap Trick got "incorporated" on the ROCKFORD album, Carlos wanted his name on composer credits, wanted final say on concert promotion, set lists, who ran sound, who ran the lighting, etc., etc., etc. After this latest jab, Robin told Rick, "he goes or I do," so...bye bye Bun E. And that's fine, Dax does a fine job and sounds just as good.
@@markjamesmeli2520 in other words he wanted to get an equal share. CT tours constantly but Robin's ok with that.Maybe a bit of L.S.S. going on.Two sides to any story.
@@joebagodonuts7563 Dax can't hold Buns sticks, let's be honest
Robin Zander...good grief...what an amazing voice!
Indeed. Mr. Zanders vocals here have masterful operatic flutter and range that puts me in mind of... idk, like a fresh throated, axl rose but with a more mature control using the vocal range. Even for Robin thats amazing
Great live band here. Great venue . cool night. Cheap Trick. still playin just sayin' mtw in LA.
Great band these guys ( including Bun.E Carlos
Robin Zander the greatest singer in Rock n Roll..
I guess we have to thank people that view a concert through a cell phone , to be able to share with us . Thank You,
His voice is still awesome! Wow, after all those years! Mind blowing
These guys always rock!! Thier last album was fantastic! I saw them for the first time in 1983. At pocono jam 83' they are the best!
live at Budokan.....one of best live acts, saw them down in Austin, Texas at SXSW. in mid nineties, yeah this album was only available on record vinyl.....and you could get 8 track tapes. Yup Ima 'dating myself' 70's and eighties was my time in the Sun.......woulnt change a thing. ole enuff to know young enuff to not give a f**k. still gotta have that classic rock
Amazing band! Great to see them keep on rocking for 45+ years.
Robin still sounds amazing and Rick is just a cut above the rest, thanks for being one of the best bands of all time.
I`d seen Queen and The Who before I saw these guys in Melbourne Australia in 1988. Best live show I`ve attended. Small venue small audience. These guys just gave their all. Glad I was there.
Saw them live 3 times (twice in arenas, and once at 616 Club in Memphis) and they were always amazing. I miss Bun E., but I guess Rick's son is a decent replacement.
Would love for them to perform mighty wings on the big stage
COMPLETELY LIVE, NO TRACKS, SO GREAT!!!!!!!
Loving Big Eyes,Need your love and Baby loves to rock...these guys have so many songs to pick from every show,,
Hey, who is that other guitarist in the background?
Great band, I was only ever been able to meet Bun in 1977 in San Diego after the concert they opened for Journey. The Trick blew Journey off of the stage.
Cheap Trick albums ...., I had them back in the 70's. All this years passed away and about two weeks ago I visited my brother's house in México and he asked me: what do you want to do with all the 200 records I've been keeping here? Bingo!
Wow this brings back such great memories!! I first saw these guys when I was 14 yrs old way back in 1979 (ya I'm old ha!!) and I actually got to go onstage and met them after the show too! LOVED them then and still do now - they sound amazing!!
THIS KIDS! IS WHAT REAL MUSICIANS AND SINGERS SOUND LIKE
Tim Grant.....well im almost sixty, most of crew I ran with back in day most ALL ARE DEAD, or in Prison, or drug & booze free. the sober life way much better for me since dec-17, 1983. at least i remember more anyway !!!. Not sampled from existing Rock & Roll. oh well keep on truckin & keep on believing. it aint over til its OVER
Cheap Trick was the loudest opening band, ever. Just Sayin. mtw in LA. guitar player.
just wow
The Band mix is excellent . Robins great vocals right up front loud and clear. Props to their sound person.
素晴らしいバンド! もう私は50歳ですが、あの青春の日々を思い出します。 もっと彼らみたいに頑張ろう😊
I was at this show!
チープトリック大好き😘 サイコー!
From Japan.
One of the coolest groups ever!
The men that inspired my song "The Shootout" ...Love these guys, from my home state
This was such a great show, I'm glad that my wife and I decided to go to the show in Bethlehem Pa 3 days later little did we know it would be our last concert of 2020 Two great Set Lists!!!!
Still kicking and making great records! They said they are too dumb to quit and so happy they haven't. Of the 3 bands I picked in the early 80's 2 of them are still aggressively recording to this day. I had at a very young age an ear for greatness. I wasn't any kind of critic because I was a listener. I was right at 14. Back then you could choose from many, Motley Crue etc. My ears were heavily attracted to Trick early and it's never stopped. I like the deep tracks in the catalog that are obscure and don't really listen to The Greatest Hits stuff anymore although I love them too.
Love Cheap Trick!!! Going to see them 7/11/21 in Bay City Michigan, Great quality video and sound here, thanks for sharing!
Thank you--looks and sounds good--only saw once--opened for Robert Plant in 88-Charlotte, NC? who was the 5th guy??
Gainzer thanks for your feedback. The 5th guy behind the right speaker stack is Robin Zander’s son, Robin T. Zander. He literally sang along with his dad on every single song.
I was,at that concert too!
Who are the two on stage during surrender ?
This is when rock was fun, you know, right before the PLANDEMIC !
WOW!!! THANK YOU! I was lazy and blew off this concert to stay cozy at home. It didn’t help that I am just moving to the area, from San Diego, and didn’t know anyone to go with, especially because it was a Sunday night. But that’s never stopped me before. Your video is amazing!! Next best thing to being there.
nadogrl welcome to Greensburg and thanks for your comments. The Palace is a great venue for concerts. Go to The Rialto for drinks and food before the concert. It’s 50 feet from the Palace. Parking is free in the multi level garage across the street. Everyone is friendly / just go! Cheap Trick played a GREAT set that night. So glad we were there.
The Real Gitbizy - Thank you for the tips! Yes, CT is one of 4 or 5 bands on my wishlist. Have passed up seeing them in larger venues, and this would have been perfect. I knew that I’d be sorry for not going.☹️😊.
Just saw them for the first time ever last week when they played Ft Myers and they blew me away! Couldn't believe how great Robin's voice sounded after all these years and he hits the high notes just as well! I think he actually sounds more masculine and sexier than ever! They all sounded awesome!
Saw there 2 days after this in NH, including the meet & greet was definitely the highlight of 2020 for me. Loved Cheap Trick since the 70s and they are one of the best live shows still today!
I’m seeing them in Lowell Ma Sunday. Can’t wait. First time I’ve seen them. Not far from where you saw them I’m sure. Can’t wait. My wife got us two tickets for my 39th bday.
In the mid 70's it was Cheap Trick and PEZBAND that ruled the clubs in Chicago!
And off Broadway

Ive seen em countless times! Never a bad show!!
Goddamn Robin still sounds incredible (Borderline! Voices!). Good to see his son's a chip off the ol' block as well.
Hell yeah Brian
There was 'a little help' involved. Check the vocals around 16:28. You hear someone that isn't visible (most probably Robin's son, on the right)
Robins son is on the stage. Its just the angel of this recording that you can't see him.
Wow they sound amazing! Zander rocks it on this one . 2020?
I can't tell you how many times have seen them.....still bring it everytime!! Robin still has the voice. Who plays a 12 string bass? Tom Peterson that's who....Rick changing guitars every song....why not when you own over 400!!
Hope all those people in the audience and the band had a good time. At this time, they had no idea what was about to happen I had tickets to see Alice Cooper for June 27th. That was cancelled. Cheap Trick is coming August 15th, warming up Rod Stewet so the tickets are expensive.
Yeah, I saw them right before shutdown. One of my top five shows ever; they were in top form and kicked ass. NEVER pass up a chance to see a live show.
Who's that other guitarist off to the right side??
So glad to see Tom back in action!!! He nailed his solo.
who is the other guitar player? (1:01:09 white hat wearing guy next to the drum kit)
Robin Zander’s son. www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/cheap-trick-robin-zander-son-1398411/amp/
This is making me sooooo smile
This is the band that I have seen the most times in my life. I love these guys. A question: Who was playing rhythm guitar behind the array, stage left?
That's the guitar tech.
@@captainsouth4460 It is actually Robin's son, I have found out.
@@captainsouth4460, no. Not a tech. He/they are going back and forth from other side. Kinda thought it was Robin's son, wasn't sure. His daughter has a great voice, also, btw....
My first concert Towson 78. Cant believe theyre still at it
Hands down the most consistent rock vocalist.....
1:05:06 The Flame
Still ROCK
Still come on stage like they're playing a club.
The most UNpretentious ROCK BAND ever!!
The fight around my handybatterie and peaceful sleep... If you don't fight, you could and will be the next.
I saw them in '78 w/ Aerosmith. They still sound great. Impressive.
Fred Garvin, it was on the Juke Box at my parents, smaller food place (like IHOP) three plays for 25 cents....good times, and that crazy ass awkward thing called 'puberty' I didnt touch any pancakes for 25 yrs lmmfao
We saw them in New Hampshire in November 2017. Great show!
Cheap Trick Rock On. Awesome show. Thank You
Best band I ever saw live ...ever
You all are iconic Nothing compare s to you, loved u then ...so much more now
great too see boys playen timeless rock roll
Wow...February 2020 and Robin Zander still sounds like it's the late 70s. Suck on that Paul Stanley.
No comparison. They are different styles.
The Cheap Trick show was awesome. I do need to make a correction: Greensburg is not a suburb of Pittsburgh. I'm from Greensburg and we are definitely not a suburb of Pittsburgh. We're not even in the same county. Look it up.
I put it there for search purposes. But thank you for enjoying the concert.
Bad ol' boys from Illinois still have it! I just read wikipedia: didn't know Robin was born in Beloit, WI!
We like Cheap Trick!
Has Zander got a pineapple stuffed into his pants or what? What the heck is going on there?
Cheap Trick forever !
I miss Bun E. though.
Saw Dream Police tour '80 and All Shook Up '81 Sunrise, FL. They still kick ass.
And I wont tell lies cause they're listening to me
Cheap Trick nailed it
Olay, guys. Look, I adore Robin as much as any single one of you, but god almighty.... those vocals are a complete and total train wreck. Let's call a spade a spade. Again, i bleed Cheap Tirck, but let's not be delusional.
I love cheap trick, but I’m so sorry what happened to Bun E. Carlos. He’s irreplaceable and a phenomenal drummer!. They made a mistake by putting Rick’s son as drummer! That is NEPOTISM!
Rick's son as drummer and Robin's son as rhythm guitarist... Just training the next generation !
I disagree, Daxx is doing a great job keeping the show together! Bun E. is the MAN, of course, but he's retired, essentially. And I think he and Robin still have beef between each other, that doesn't make for good interaction on a concert stage (or maybe it does?)
Wamp Waaah!!! 😕
@Luke she also told me stay away you'll never know what you'll catch
Better with Bun.
God Bless the people in the front row but I'll never understand how folks watching one of thee best bands ON EARTH they just stand there. It looks like the people in the front row (Most of them) don't know who the great Cheap Trick is. So weird. This is a homemade video and it's twice as good as most other artists. Thanks for taping!
Nice, thanks for taping and sharing.
America's Beatles
My God!!! "You got it going on"!! Is a ball's out Metal song!!
No joke !!!!! 💪🏽
Vocals sound just too good.......
That was really great! Thank you!
BEFORE THE WORLD AS WE KNEW IT STOPPED!!!!! Wish I could have gone. Awesome at the Willow Grove Navy Base in Willow Grove, Pa.!!!!!❤
Hello There sounded as if it was played a step slower. There isn't a snap, crackle pop on the drums. Guess Daxx was having an off night.
4 3/4 stars we like this ! Big fans here in L.A.
Thanks for this!
.....💋💓💓💓💓🤗🥰⭐⭐👍 YEAH!!!
Greatest. Band. Ever.
My hometown boys❤️
They sound great. Just don't look the same without Bun E. Great band none the less.
Saw them 8 or 9 times over thr years. Won't again unless Bun E is playing
Chi town favorite...Though from around Rockford still chi town
They did "I want you to want me" but they didn't do "aint that a shame".
Glad I saw them 40+ years ago, old rock bands are just that......................old
You should leave she said by the Beatles to off Broadway they do it much better
Love them!
Who is the 3rd guitarist? Spent most of the concert lurking to the far right.......
And Hi from the Dells!
Last time I saw Cheap Trick they were at Burgettstown.
Awesum in 2020
The crowd is dead is its a shame. I would give my right foot to attend
just go to the show, no need to sever your foot just put your foot to the gas pedal and go see them
Sexist song she’s tight! Not liking that one much! I love Cheap Trick but that song’s not good! Not into sexist things. Shows no,class,no morals or no standards!
Oh, shut the fuck up. Seriously.
It doesn't have to have a sexual connotation..."her heads down tight" she's got it together....lighten up Ronaye...all men aren't mesaginists.
