Just installed this type of door. Our opening was only 57 inches, so had to cut the rails down quite a bit. Make sure you assemble the door first to get the correct measurement to cut the pieces. Very easy installation with a helper. It works just fine.

My bottom sill has a track, and there are side and top rail tracks. Do I need to replace?
Could you do this installation without screwing into the sill and brick moulds? My brick moulds are part of the door and I really dont want to ruin them.could a quality double sided tape work?
shouldn't there be silicon or similar to prevent water entering the screw holes and rotting the wood frame?

How do I replace the screen in a damaged dream screen door?
It takes a bit of work but you can usually contact the manufacturer and they will send you a replacement screen have servicing available.
The only problem with this screen door having a fixed panel is that he effectively took a lovely pair of French Doors with a wide opening and made it into a single door. Maybe that's what the owners wanted. Just seems to me very limiting.
He said the second door was a fixed door. So in this case the install didn't take away a wide opening. It was already nonexistent.
My french "doors" are the same way. The second "door" is only a window. It does not open. :(
Both sides of the screen door open. The other side is not fixed. Those pins release. It works like every other double door.

Technically yes but Not really. Not sure how you would open the screen from inside in that case.
You said almost ANY door- but what if there is no wood frame around the door- only stucco. There is, however, 3 inches of casing.
Fine. install it on the casing. You just want to make a continuous flat surface all the way around of at least 3/4"

What a about an out swinging door? Just install it inside? Not sure there is room to install it Inside
Why Not just flip the hinges the opposite way.
Take the door off and flip them in and then the door will open the opposite direction and you won't have to put it inside
@@Firstname137 the door is by a small dining area. The door are out swinging for a reason. It doesn't matter. There is room for the screen door Inside

Agree. Was thinking the same thing.
Both sides open. You would just leave both sides open all the time, then close the screen doors from each side when you want to leave your French doors open for air in the summer or whatever.
