- Building rock sliders for my overland Kia Sportage project. In an attempt to help protect the body while off road I decided to make my own rock sliders as aftermarket support in the US is minimal for these sportages. Thanks to @tmbfabrication for the tubing and helping get them notched.
Hey man sorry to ask, but what happen with the silver automatic kia?
Ended up having a dead miss after the engine swap and sold it
Great video and nice workmanship. But how are you mounting the sliders to the chassis? You didn't show us that bit...
Looks great! Do you have a body lift?Or, does the frame set lower off in factory for him to allow the pipes to come straight out and under the body?
No body lift, the body is just tall enough to slip the 2” tubing below it and tie into the frame.
I did just replace all the body bushings though as they are known to deteriorate on these really badly.
John Elliott Cool! Under armor and body sliders have been on my radar for a while now. You’ve done well my friend.
Is this for tall speed bumps at the mall or what ???
Do you have the basic demensions of the tubing you used? I plan I doing something similar, but don't want to buy too material. I also wonder if that will hold the weight to use a high lift track?
Watch some of my other videos. I hit them hard, a lot... it is 1.5 .120 wall hrew
