Matt’s diet is amazing: potato chips, cheese sticks, red licorice, and Mountain Dew. Breakfast of Champions! You do get a sense for the kind of guy Paul is. He’s got all these people in his shop, talking on his video and he’s pretty cool. Lets everyone participate, have fun, and he’s not trying to be the center of attention This was one of my favorite FR vids.
Thanks kindly for another fine video folks. While I'm far from perfect in that regard having worked in the trades my entire life, nonetheless I very much appreciate the fact you all don't cuss incessantly in your videos. Kudos for the kid friendly language and overall positive tone always present. Blessing to you all and stay well down there.
Alan and Paul are working harder than a one legged man in a butt kicking contest. Pan to Matt and he's all kicked back and comfy chomping chips. Cracked me up!!! Way fun video.
i fab stuff up all the time so its awesome being able to catch different tricks and techniques from you guys and gals when your making different stuff wish i could return the knowledge haha but love these videos the most :) all of them are great but these types are my favorites and hats off to Michelle for learning more and more car parts
I almost shed a tear watching the 80 fender get cut. The ‘97 is the best year for the LC platform hands down. LOVE the video!!! Last of the straight axles. The Birfields can handle 37’s. The transmission is overbuilt. I’m not in love with the 14 rubber coolant hoses though.
Ha Ha that's fantastic. Now I liked that idea with the Inner guard (fender) I think I'll be pinching that idea as payment for you guys using my idea. :) Woot Woot.
Hey guys. Love the video. My best rock sliders have always always been 2 inch body lift and then welding nerf bars straight to the frame. I’ve done it to several yota pick ups and all my yota 4-runners. When they hit the lift in the shop I lift all my trucks up by the nerf bars. Solid solid guys.nvr had to re weld
I had a 97 lx450. It was the most comfortable vehicle I have ever taken off road, my wife called it the off road couch. So capable in stock form. Hated the fuel economy and sold it, I still regret that decision.
@@robertservice2845 I know the fuel consumption is scary, but you spend very little on maintenance. I bought my 80 10 years ago for $6500 with 135 000 miles on it. I could have spent way more to get something more economical, but I though that I would never recoup the extra cash. I just never look at the bill when fill it from empty (43 gallons). Ignorance is bliss.
Been following Paul and Matt and the rest of the gang for a couple of years, but don't remember seeing this video until now. It's nice to get a bit more background about Alan's rig.
Now this is how you make getting something awesome done fun, by hanging out with amazing friends who work together and it doesn't hurt that some of them have skills too👍😊...

If Allen sees this, thanks for talking to me and my brother outside Dick's Sporting Goods in STG a few months ago and pointing us towards Matts Offroad Recovery and subsequently Fab Rats. I was super stoked to see this!
You're as bad as I am when it comes to loosing your markers 🤭... all kidding aside, the sliders turned out awesome. Can't wait to see you get started on your Yota & see what all you have in store for it. I'll be putting the final touches on the overland camper build Wednesday. Thanks for your earlier advice with it brother 👍
Not enough Paul's and Matt's in the world. Of course the people that surround them are cool also. Great people are like magnets, everyone wants to be around them. I know I would if I lived on their side of the country.
2:48 "once you tip it over, later on you will" yeahh funny you should say that Paul
Funny enough. I come from the future to tell you that he indeed tipped it over.
This is why when you consult a highly experienced professional you TAKE HIS ADVICE!

My heart filled with joy when Paul said that he was putting a LS in the 80s model yota and making it a crawler.
We need to see it unfold!
I think he was talking about the 1st gen 4Runner he has on the trailer.

Its funny being on the other side of 'idk what that is'
You all seem like a great group of people.
That was done very well. Always fun to watch Paul do fab work.
Whoa! Michelle beat Paul and Matt at "Name that Part"! Fun day in the garage, fun to watch, thanks!

I made rock sliders like that on my wj but mine are air tanks too

Just came to this video after watching the one of Alan actually tipping it over and hearing once you tip it over at the 2:50 mark!
Best guest star cameo yet. Randy!

"I had a marker like 3 seconds ago" Story of my life!!! Every time I'm working on something!!
Markers and 10mm.
Lmao , Paul telling Allen about rolling over , came here after seeing mat’s and Paul’s video
For being blind to the master plan... those sliders came out pretty fair.
Nice work as always!
@2:50 - "Once you tip it over later on you will...." LOL prophecy has been fulfilled!
I like it, but my 80 is safe for now. My
Metaltech4x4 sliders have done a good job, but I do see the positives for the added clearance. Good job!!
Matt just chilled out loving life, keep her lit 🔥 guys
Hee yaa .
These are just brilliant vids, I especially love ‘Michelle’s’ what is this part segments, that’s a hoot hahahahah
7:10 first time ever seen Matt chillin and everyone else busy.
Matt must have been sickly that day
Nah, it’s just that I’ve been watching all the recovery vids so Matt’s always active until I clicked on this vid.
This inspired me to make my own sliders too. You guys are awesome!
Awesome video Paul....Looked like you guys had a good time in the shop that day......
Another fabulous job from "Fabrats"!

And once again excellent work Rat! Amazing how you get the job done with Matt in the way... (lol)

Standard mezzanine: few engine blocks, a trans or 13, nice set of 6x6 elk antlers. 👌🏻
Paul, this is the stuff that makes me homesick. Keep them coming. BTW where is Dar? He didn't even pop in for a nap.
He came in for just a few mins that day. 😉
Love this platform! Comfort and capability
Well.. She rolled it over. lol.
Sweet upgrade guys.
