Remember your car is not a submarine. When you drive in the lake your electrical system will short out and your car will stall.
Your electric door locks and windows will lock you in your flooding car.
If your floor boards get wet your car is trashed. Your insurance company will total it. You also risk your air bags discharging due to electrical shorts.
I like how he was getting fired up about nobody fixing those darn windows! 😂
isn't that the old Enron building?
People, exercise caution. Keep an eye on your elderly or disabled neighbors to make sure they're safe.

Just got through this storm. No power. Tree's down everywhere but we are ok. Pray for those more affected. Winds took out our backyard fences but no property damage. Saw a ton of homes with trees on them. It's was only a Cat 1 but still needs to be respected. God bless you all! 🙏 🙏
Stay safe people. Watching from Canada
Watch the Lake Livingston Dam up by Humble. It's already near breaking point even before this rain.

He is the storm
Well that isnt really going to help….perhaps god is angry at Texas.
Be safe Houston 😢
I've lived in Houston 60 years,Ive road out Alicia, Allison and Ike those hurricanes had us living like we were in 3rd world countries,We are terriffied us Texans of this storm because it's coming for the whole state, North, South,East ,and West, and we've seen the damage this storm can do,it is sitting in the gulf calm,I think because its getting the strength from our waters temperature which are still pretty high even though we've had alot of rain these past two days, We've filled up all the tubs, cleaned out closets, cleared the porch and stacked up on food,if the power doesn't go out,and the flood waters don't get too high we're going to be ok,just pray for us we're in until this is over,12 hours gives Beryl alot of time to destroy and bring tornadoes with him.
It has been nightmarish. God help us all. Allison and Ike....I still shuddee.
🙏
@@mc90009 I Pray you'll be fine. These storms appear to be on Miss i o n s for Mother Nature... Turn the tv off... Keep cell phones charged - can do that from usb port of lap top too... NOTE: Here in S FL, Cat 1 is not a huge deal (though a bit unnerving...) compared to Andrew, Irma (I spent 17 1/2 hrs in my hallway - it sounded like a MACHINE!) & evn Wilma hit hard.... However, Katrina was a Cat 1 & I KNEW it would be about a 5 when it hit LA etc💜🙏 Again, you say your Prayers & keep the Faith - the storm is not after YOU specifically!!! Soooooo breathe & know God has you in the Palm of His Hand👍👍💜🙌🙏
@JR-zm2yu thank you,I know God got us 🙏 🙌 ❤️

Take care folks in Houston. Heed those warnings!!!!

HAVE MERCY ON TEXAS MIGHTY JESUS CHRIST HELP US ALL FORGIVE US AND BE WITH US MERCY LORD ❤❤
Commenting from Lake Jackson. We live near the Lake Jackson Farms, and the bayou is not too flooded, but it’s partially in our yard. A bodark tree uprooted in our backyard, as well as multiple pecan trees. Our street is covered in moss, limbs, and sticks. Two small elm trees in our front yard were rocking back and forth, making us think they would fall on our house, but luckily they didn’t. Tons of huge limbs covered in moss are in our yard. We are blessed to have sweet neighbors that let us use their shower. In Clute, my grandmothers house was tragically damaged by a MASSIVE pecan tree. It fell on to her covered porch, and into the upstairs bedroom. Luckily everyone was in the living room. This happened at about 6 AM when my Nana thought that it was all over, until it sounded and felt like her house exploded. Driving through the neighboring towns (Richwood and Clute) was very devastating. Plenty of fences were torn apart, followed by roofs, and trees. A family friend of ours had the roof of their house torn off in the middle of the storm.
I hope everyone is all safe and well. Although there many tragedies, we made it through. With tough people, comes tough cities, and with tough cities, comes a tough state. ❤️
Houston, mantente alerta y mantente seguro.
Prayers for Houston
Houston, Texas, be careful.

Lake Livingston....
@@williambrucesanders6878 I am praying that dam holds up. Even before this rain it was in trouble.
It's about time! The poor Houston mosquitoes were suffering from the dry heat.

Bring it to NM, cooking out here like eggs on a sidewalk
Amid the fentanyl crisis, rising crime, ongoing wars, and life-threatening weather, we are navigating a period of profound insecurity and uncertainty.
Do not drive into water of unknown depth, also walking in ankle foot water could knock you to the ground and have you pulled into a drainage pipe...God Bless...
wtf to that second warning 😱 I thought you were going to say, avoid ankle depth because you could get a foot infection. Scary
Not to mention ringworm
O God, let your mercy prevail over Texas, and calm the storms.
Well the winds didn't blow him away like their reporting a few years ago!!! 😅
Not a white out, get you a kayak and pretend it’s a flood
Dang !! 😮
Hope Austin gets a good rain.
Got it yesterday.
Is there a shortage of water there?
I’m only getting .30 inches 😭
#metoo
Be careful don’t drown turn around
Yup, that's what happens in Houston when it pours. Nowhere for the rain to go!! I hate it.
A tree ripped through my kitchen when it fell now I’m in rain with no jacket or anything so I’m soaked
Lawd. Harvey was horrible. I think this will be much less stressful.
Don’t forget to wrap your pipes!
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Is he really wearing a suit?
he has on waterproofs
He'll change into SCUBA gear shortly.
Sending prayers for safety! God watch over everyone in Beryl's path!
No Jesus is not the storm. He us our Peace and our Joy if we let Him be!
Don't exaggerate. Houston is used to heavy rain.
Yes, but there's more concrete/asphalt and less soil, which makes it a big problem in the last 15-20 years or so.
Yeah, we don't get this kind of rain on top of already saturated ground soil. ALL of the Northeast lakes are full pond, Lake Livingston dam is about to blow out, and this storm will be dumping a LOT of rain.
Harvey sure was "a lot of rain". Thankfully this one's nowhere near as strong and won't stall.
Sonofagun gonna have big fun on the bayou.
@@pamelastrickland4945 Get your canoe or kayak out and have fun! Don't step in the water, however. It is toxic and contaminated. Otherwise, have fun!
A hurricane during hurricane season? Say it ain’t so!
Can anyone report on the weather without acting like he's in a disaster movie? It's going to be a Cat 1 for gosh sakes.
No, lying and scaring people is there job
😂😂😂RIGHT ON!!😂😂
Shhh my boss is out of state he needs to think this is the worst storm ever so I don’t have to work tomorrow! 😂
They’ll be fine.

Its still a tropical storm. It'll be at least a Cat 1
It's not even a hurricane right now lol, but it's 4 mph away from a 1.
Possibly 2
Cat 1
Wow

The intro was a bit extreme. Hmm.
am sitting dead center of beryl, Palacios in matagorda county. I litterly just came inside the house after sitting outside in my shorts smoking a cigerette without an umbrella on 8' stilts. I barely got wet. Bunch of hype, newscaster might be exaggerating a bit.
Did anyone else hear that evp at 3:04????? It Said Help Me
i heard it. it was a woman saying Help
That Jackson 5 song came to mind when the reporter said 'Mid May Mid May' ... The song: ABC easy as 123... Hmmmm 130... I've learned that g e m a t r i x site is rather intriguing when it comes to English🤔 ... AND IF at the 3 : 4 mark was help me, ABCs would be 5 9; however if just 'help' would be 4 1... Yup, that song just gets more interesting in last couple of years... 🤔😳🙃 Imo 2500 windows BLOWN out he noted, that Mother Nature has some eye opening Miss i o n s these days... Did you see what happened here in FL w/ian & nicole...?⚡⚡
