- This laser hair-removal treatment is performed at Rejuva Laser Hair Clinic in the UK. Technicians use a Candela Gentlemax Pro laser to damage the hair follicle and stop hair regrowth. During the treatment, some clients experience hair and ingrown hair popping out. This occurs when the energy from the laser pushes the hairs out from under the skin. Once the ingrown hairs appear on the skin, they can be removed with a swipe of a towel. Clients with very thick and dark hair are more likely to experience this reaction. On average, six to eight sessions are recommended for optimal results.

I can imagine this tool to be very useful for women with PCOS, since they may experience excessive growth of facial hair.
It is not actually. For women with PCOS it is much better to go for electrolysis rather than laser since laser is not a permanent solution. Laser hair removal can also cause hairs to grow around the area that has been treated.
I tried electrolysis and I am super happy about it but you can't imagine the number of women who came to the center after having laser hair removal...

I have had the gentlemax laser hair removal several times and it has never once worked like that. It does make the hair shed, but typically within 7 to 14 days.
I once was a laser nurse and used this machine. It absolutely can work like this, but typically the hairs that blew out of the follicle like this were the ones already dead that hadn’t fallen out yet.
@@niviharshavardan9144 it feels like little snapping rubber bands. Annoying, but not terrible. I can't tell you how nice it is not to have to worry about the hair anymore
@@robinlynn2503 Yeah I've never had this happen with laser either. The few ingrown hairs I have just burn up in/under the skin and like you said, eventually fall out as the skin sheds.
Its because its just supposed to fall off by itself. Naturally. You do not need to force it out. Its just a way to charge you for an extra session where in fact the hair will just fall off after a few days. This is a stupid thing they call retouch. A retouch means an area was not lasered, it does not mean you're supposed to laser it again.
I literally just had my first session 4 days ago and I didn't notice any hairs popping out like that. No shedding yet either, it just looks like my hair is growing like usual.
I did that years ago! Three session were more than enough for me. They even offered me full arms and upper legs for free. No discoloration, no skin softness change. Very very effective. The only sad part is the machine cant see red hair so can't remove them. No more pain :,)
It doesn’t see the grey and white either☹️
Electrolysis can deal with red hair as well
So you have red body hairs?
Getting laser has seriously been one of the best investments of my life 👐🏼
Now I love how technology can be
The same number of sessions is needed for the regular laser.. Depending on your hair of course. I have done 7 sessions so far with a tech. I just purchased a handheld laser to try out myself to see how effective it is.
How much did the sessions cost each? And does insurance cover it?
Where did you buy the handheld laser from?
@@meghnamajumdar2412 this is the question!
The Marketing of IPL hair removal devices for home use easily confuse buyers duping them into believing they are purchasing a laser hair removal device. IPL (Intense Pulse Light) is a broad frequency, white light device, unlike the single frequency laser device. IPL is unable to target the hair follicle below the skin surface and effectively destroy it for permanent hair removal. Beware when you see IPL Laser in the same sentence or paragraph for that matter. Is IPL technology very effective and permanent for hair removal, NO. But it sometimes offers reduced growth somewhat on some people over time as in many, many, many months. Do not expect the same results from a $500 home device verses a $50,000 true laser salon device. Effective Laser hair removal works on one of the three frequencies 755nm, 808nm, 1064nm and a sufficient amount of joule power intensity depending on skin color.
Don't the at home devices use lights, not lasers?

For people wondering why their laser is not like this but with even the same bloody machine. Its because its just supposed to fall off by itself. Naturally. You do not need to force it out. Its just a way for them to charge you for an extra session where in fact the hair will just fall off after a few days most of the time 2 weeks to a month before the hair falls off depending on how strong your hair is. This is a stupid thing they call retouch. A retouch means an area was not lasered, it does not mean you're supposed to laser it again. As someone who is undergoing hair removal treatment, it hurts like hell.
Does it only hurt for the time you're getting the hair removal like getting your ears pierced?
Or does it take like a few days to recover
@Ryan Lane oh god- 10-15 minutes
I thought it was like 5 minutes
My mum's forcing me to do this crap and I'm just like tryna do research on whether it hurts or not c':
@@RiceTrees I don't know if you've tried any laser treatment yet. I had my first session of it today, on my whole face. That took twenty minutes in total. I guess there would be variations in pain according to the type of laser and your own pain threshold. Also women can be more sensitive nearer their time of the month so it would be best to have it done well away from that week if you are worried about any pain.
I'm able to take some pain so this was just about manageable for me but there were parts of my face that the laser hurt more than other parts. It felt like someone was inserting a hot needle into my skin but it's not agonising or anything. I was gripping my left wrist tightly with my right hand though to help me cope with the zaps. Once it's done, you should look fine. Not blotchy or red as I feared but it would depend on the person. A reputable place will do a patch test before the first treatment. Once some aloe vera gel was slathered on my skin, it felt fine. I don't feel any pain hours later.
If you haven't done it as of yet, find a place that has a free consultation and get that patch test done. That will give you an idea of how it would be for you.
@@RiceTrees Every zap feels like two hot needle that gets jabbed into the skin. But you'll get used to it, and the nerves in the skin tend to get numb after a couple sessions as well. It's natural to get scared at first. Just make sure that you come well rested to the appointment so that you are emotionally prepared (unlike I was lmao).

So weird, I’ve been getting laser hair removal for years and I’ve never had the hair become more visible after it was zapped by the laser
It's just ingrown hair coming to the surface. Yours was already visible to begin with.
@@jos-josradvanji6203 I’ve had those as well and still never saw it appear more.
there's different type of lasers and intensities used for hair removal treatments, that most likely is the reason you never saw this happening since they always try to avoid leaving too much unnecesary damage to the skin if the treatment being applied doesn't justify it.
Me neither! Lol... Is this real?
So, the “ingrowns” that are showing up are actually just burnt hair.

this is laser hair removal, not laser ingrown removal. the bits that come out are the base of the shafts of hair that sit below the surface of the skin if you shave. yes they can sometimes turn into ingrown hairs if the opening seals or the hair grows slightly wrong angle.
If you get this on your beard it will mostly stop growing altogether after a few sessions which may not be what you wanted
I need to borrow this machine.
Finally i find this, for my hair in my butt that keep growing
Hahahahaha
Right?
i’m pretty sure these aren’t “ingrown hairs”. it’s just hair that hasn’t poked through the skin yet, (like after shaving) and this laser burns it and the follicle, forcing it out.
Look up what ingrown hairs are lol
@@caprisun6910 ingrown hairs have grown sideways or such and stay in the skin. Liv is talking about hair that just isn't long enough to stick out
You’re correct. They aren’t ingrown hairs. They’re hairs that are already dead that haven’t been shed yet. The hairs on our body are all at different stages of growth.
@Liv Brooks I was thinking this way also. I think it's kinda like a 'souped-up' electrolysis machine. It just does a larger area as opposed to 1 hair at a time. 🤔
Yeah this is just regular laser hair removal
This would be cool to do on the leg hair around my ankles. For some reason it’s always ingrown even if I don’t shave for months or shave every day
Exfoliate! It’s life savior
I have the same problem!
I've started moisturising and it helped a lot.
Ok here is the best question 🙋🏽♂️ does it work on dark skin ?
I did 3 section to my beard 2 more to go. the resolutes lasts more than 12 months sometimes
Lasts 12 months each session you go- or 12 months after all the treatments?
The laser doesn’t “zap out ingrown hair”. What your seeing is the burnt tip that are hit by laser.
I need this 😩 im so tired of shaving and cut myself then get pimples
Don’t even shave. It’s ok.
Imagine the relief client must feel after the treatment
I wonder if this would be a cure for KP (keratosis pilaris).
If it was that'd be great
Laser hair removal may, and I'm emphasizing the MAY, help with KP but it's not a cure. It may help with KP if there's dark hair growth in the area but if it's light don't try to do laser hair removal there.
@@mufferducker822 It worked for me a little with consistent use, but due to other skin problems had to slow down on it and it no longer works as well
I wish we could laser it and it’d be gone forever! Darn stubborn ingrown hairs lol even with exfoliating!
I'm doing laser and have KP, I can tell you that the skin is smoother and I don't have ingrown hairs anymore! I'm at my 11th appointment since I'm doing it at the estetician cause is less expensive (but there are more sits to do, if you have the money, go to a doctor lol). It's not a cure but it improves the condition :))

The thick hair popping out satisfies me
This looks really effective I’d love to try it

This gave me goosebumps.. the way the hair just appeared 😖
This is so satisfying!
This video is oddly satisfying to watch
I’m probably missing something, but I don’t understand why people keep dumping money into these non-permanent “laser removal” procedures that only last 6-12 months (after multiple sessions)- instead of just saving the money you waste on them and investing it into getting the *ONLY* FDA recognized, permanent hair removal done *{hair electrolysis}*
Electro is much more painful than laser, also for example for me - i dont want to be without hairs whole my life. Who knows how beauty standards will change, how i will feel about my body etc. It is too big decision for me. Maybe for some people too
Because hair removal technology is constantly improving and for many, these solutions are enough to keep their hair from growing back.
Laser genuinely works for a lot of people I know, and I've seen the results first-hand, so...
I will say this because I'm genuinely sick of reading this kind of stupidity.
Hey genius the FDA only looks at safety of people not wether it's effective or not.
Even then, there are several FDA approved diode lasers.
Because I go there every other month and keep my skin hair AND foliculitis free. 10 Sessions (that is like... Almost 2 years of results) for a fraction of the price of permanent laser removal.
That means while I cant pay for the permanent one, I use the one I can afford!
Also, I do not earn money in dollars so I have to work many more months to be able to afford it than you would expect for an american person. I make like 350$ a month so it is either this or no laser.
Also the hair keeps growing but it is not the THICK, DARK hair I naturally have, it is way more manageable hair that doesnt look as masculine.
Worth It, to me!
this video remembered me i have my laser appointment tomorrow😔
Laser hair removal (which has been around for A WHILEEEE! So I’m confused as to why they made this video. Is the laser itself just new? Or..?) but anyway… for women LIKE ME - who have PCOS and therefore grow hair on our chins and blah blah - like a legit bearded woman if he don’t constantly pluck them.. and it seems like more and more just keep popping up EVERY SINGLE YEAR! 😡! I was so happy to learn that that’s a myth. Hair doesn’t grow back thicker/more. It can LOOK like it tho, so I guess that’s the important part, so it may not matter that it doesn’t, to some, but it’s a little comforting to know it actually doesn’t grow back faster/thicker than before
It’s amazing! At :21 and :52 is not only removes hair, but also turns u from male to female!
I definitely need to have this done on my face, especially under my chin where my jawline is, but I bet it cost a fortune. I'm not rich nor have the extra money. 😩 I hate my face.

I find the title of this video slightly misleading. This is basically just laser hair removal .3.
What you're seeing is the ejection of hair. For a really basic analogy, think of popcorn. When you heat the kernel (in this case the hair follicle) then the hair pops out.
Usually if there is a lot of hair or if the hair is thick you get a lot of ejections. It really depends on the person and area being treated not all areas get ejections like that.
Also, sometimes too many ejections can imply the setting is too high. I'm sure the setting in the video was fine for the clients. But anyways, thats my long rant for why the video title is slightly misleading.
Well I feel pjt off popcorn now
