I've had mine for over 2 years, the gearbox is fine mate. Not sure where you've heard that, they are fantastic gearboxs. I wouldn't mess around with them like remaps and stuff but stock they are great! Make sure to service them and they'll treat you right.

Tbh I didn’t know about the issues with DSG until I got it but no had 0 zero issues cars been amazing 💪🏼
