Well done. A good route to go would be to put a high flow downpipe on and keep the muffler as is (maybe just add some tips) The down pipe will help with the flow, potentially increase your power (definitely with a tune) and it will give it a much better and louder tone aswell!! All the best
I agree with getting a nice aftermarket muffler than a delete. My car has the 1.6 and I’m also planning on getting rid of the resonator, but probably pair it with a good valvetronic muffler. Sound >> loudness, and I like the idea of being able to choose when it’s loud. I prefer to not to be a cop magnet, ha
@gamepieNL - I checked out your video-the exhaust note sounds superb! So, you deleted the rear muffler and installed an aftermarket muffler with an exhaust tip? Additionally, did you also replace the resonator? Is that correct? I have a Polo 1.2 TSI and am planning a Stage 1 Superchips tune. I’ve also purchased a Magnaflow endcan with dual tips.
Instead of doing a muffler delete, replace it with a custom made stainless steel one or if you can afford it, get a proper Borla or Magnaflow one. I've done this exact set up with a SS muffler on my 1.2 tsi let me know if you want some reference videos for sound.
@@OnlyMods I don’t have a link because I don’t own one myself and I am not from Australia, but you should be able to find one by searching “Magnaflow Muffler for Polo 1.2 tsi”. This will get you just the muffler (end of the exhaust) and the rest of the exhaust should be straight with no resonators. Will sound beautiful.
I wish I could make mine sound a bit better but being in Germany, the rules and regs are so strict. Plus I have a diesel, so they just sound crap no matter what 😂
Hahha oh man. 🤣 man Germany sounds so tough. I think you should move to America or Australia. I wish our regulations was more like americas. But hey I need to count my blessings and be greatfull we can mod as much as we have so far.
It is. I mean, you can do a lot of things but you can't delete the diesel particle filter. Some mods need a material inspection, some need to be approved by TüV which can cost a lot. I'm thinking of getting a GTi bumper and converting the exhaust from a single pipe to a double. It's cheaper doing that than getting an approval for a diffuser. I really want to get the wrc bumper too, but I can't find one which is approved, which has cutouts for headlight washers and approved fog lights. I got a front lip which attaches to the original bumper but waiting for better weather to paint it. Still experiencing minus degrees Celsius at the moment 😂
Muffler delete and the mount a flow through muffler magnaflow. So happy for the sound mine makes.
People often think my 1.2 tsi is a 2.0 tsi
