It's kind of sad that they discontinued the Fit in the the US, along with the Toyota Yaris. I guess people don't want a dependable and cost efficient sub-compact vehicle? Trucks and SUV's are becoming more common and I don't think see fuel prices going down anytime soon.
Could be a personal size issue coupled with how people in NA view smaller sized vehicles in general. Remember when the Smart car came out and how almost everyone was an engineering genius telling people that small car with that small engine would never be able to do highway speeds or if it got into an accident with a semi it would just melt away, which on that accident point. Most cars would just melt if they got hit by a semi, tends to happen when you have double the cars weight (truck, probably a bigger ratio for cars tbh). I know a ton of Canadians and Americans from gaming circles who absolutely could never fit into sub compact economy cars even if that's all they could buy
I own a 2007 and just bought a 2018 EX with 44k miles. I move PINBALL MACHINES in them! Yeah, like Funhouse and Whirlwind, and Addams Family. All of my pinball machines have been moved in one or the other of my Fits, except the one I bought new in the box which was delivered on a FedEx truck
As a retired photographer I would suggest you consider raising the back light if you have it on a stand. All the way to the roof, or if the walls are white or cream you can point it at the corner and let it bounce onto whatever you are recording. You can also drape it with a white dryer sheet, as long as the light isn't too hot, meaning a led, not an incandescent. That will make the light a bit softer, as long as the dryer sheet isn't too thick. Good luck.
0:13 & 3:03 These splits should not be occurring. I was an inspector in the aircraft industry. An aircraft having these splits would have been grounded. The splits are flexing, widening and lengthening. One UA-cam shows the split running in the channel over half the length of the roof. Another with the split on both the vertical and horizontal faces being wide enough to put a pencil tip in. A structural failure. A sealant will not stop its progress. Like pumps on the Titanic they will only buy you time. Something very bad about how these vehicles were manufactured is evident. Many videos showing it is happening on both sides along the roof extending downward toward the spare wheel well are extant enough to demonstrate it's systemic. A shame. I always thought the first generation fit was the most aesthetic and wicked to drive.

Thanks for posting. Helpful. Your still young you may hit a growth spurt :). Gets even better after age 49 some people begin to shrink. I was 5' 9".Two years later in down a 1/2 inch. Sorry US measurements. I'll have to cross reference cm. :) Thankfully lefty loosey righty tighty (90% of the time) rock on Canada. :)
My Honda looked the same. I just used RTV sealant and just waiting for it to dry. Hopefully it worked. I’ll hose the car down and see if it still leaks tomorrow. I’ll update
The antenna can also leak if you pull down the headliner and see some rust on the nut of the antenna good chance it is leaking. Might want to check this video out as well ua-cam.com/video/tGbjFOEJZfY/v-deo.html
Works pretty good once it dries parked outside in the rain and didn't get any water in the trunk but the car is moldy now from all the moisture. Will be giving it a good cleaning when I have the time.
@@theoffroadingmechanic I have my $69 ozone machine running in my 2007 - ran the dehumidifer in it until it stopped producing cups full of water. The sealant I applied is still drying. Fingers crossed!
Hi I have water leak I did this already but there is still water going into the rear seats on the floor wonder if that due to the seals on the doors or is there a floor leak.
At work we have a set up where we have a garden hose set up and just spray water on the car. But we also remove the interior while looking for the leak in the general area.

Sometimes is not the crack it's the screw hole from the struts that holds up the tailgate! I found it 😁
Marine sealant is working very well on it , I put it in 2011, no leak so far!

As a lot of cars have that seam on the roof panel I would imagine this is a common entry point for water that is often overlooked.

At least it is a cheap diy fix.

Hi, what happens if i take off the roof weather strip?
There will be a divot that the weather strip fills in.
Hi, do you have an update for this? I am about to buy a fit
The water leak? It's been parked outside and it's been raining here. No water yet.
