With all the talk of declutter and minimalize, we might overlook the advantages of duplicate items. My point is that sometimes adding is more of an improvement than subtracting. If you live with a stairway inside your home, you might prefer two vacuum cleaners, one on each floor. The same goes for cleaning products and basic tools like a hammer and screwdrivers. I have a delightful front porch where I love to be in Summer. I have a painted wood cabinet out there as part of the decor. It is a handy place for paper towels, basic tools, dog brushes, extra reading glasses, scissors, trash bin, etc. That way I need not run back inside the house for incidentals. I also bought extra garden hose and fittings to supply water from the side of my house to my porch. That gives me convenient access to water my flower pots, wash the deck, cool myself down, rinse off the doggies, etc.
Dishwasher out of service since before Christmas..one of those things my husband will "get to"eventually....we wash our dishes almost immediately and we love it.

Tossing the empty shampoo bottle down the stairs is the right thing to do 😆 , I give things a ride close to the main/exit door ! So is on the way when O go out it also gets out !
I'm 99% sure that my husband would rather get rid of me than the coffee table. It belonged to his nan, so it'll probably outlive me. I WOULD LOVE TO GET RID OF IT. It's a glass-top and attracts smears like my 3-year-old attracts trouble. I often dream of one day taking an ax to it but I'm not brave enough. New subscriber, I love your videos, and your down-to-earth approach. Lovely.
U can re-purpose used tea bags 2 absorb moisture/odor in shoes. Or put baking soda in a coffee filter, twist top n glue/tape/staple top, making a pouch😊
Don’t know if this helps anyone. I changed my spices to a drawer and labelled the lids. I have them in alphabetical order from front to back in small baskets. For me it has made such a difference
Ooh, about the batteries, you can use those little plastic inserts inside packets of biscuits (cookies) to hold them. Free and upcycling, and we can't afford anything to contain stuff. Sucks being poor but this way it helps the recycling thing too.
I gave my husband and sons-in-law battery storage cases for Christmas. They all loved them. No more shoebox’s, drawers, or baskets to search through. They come in different sizes. I gave a 60 battery size, and the sponge slots are for different size batteries. Also came with a battery tester. I found these on Amazon. Pretty reasonable cost and sometimes on sale.
Thank you for the information in this video! I just discovered your channel. Just a reminder to be cautious about how you store batteries, if the terminals touch they can spark and start a fire.
You're so right. I bought a small zip up container that holds all the different types of batteries that I use, and actually holds many, and they don't touch each other. I just store them in that and take them out when needed. Nice and neat. Amazon has many styles to choose from.
Clutter is a habit. All my life I was terrible about leaving dishes in the sink. (The funny thing is that I don’t hate doing the dishes, it was pure laziness.) Within the last six months, I made a conscious decision not leave dishes in the sink. At first it was tempting to just leave that dish, but stopped myself. I don’t leave the kitchen until the dishes are done and put away, and it feels great. Whatever the habit is, make a conscious decision to change. You’ll surprise yourself at how successful you will be.
One thing about leaving dishes in the sink is they do not improve with age. The dish is easier to wash immediately after use and before the food dries into a hard crust. Cooking pots might have to soak. But you raise the most important point. Every item in the house requires a conscious decision. You have to decide where it belongs or it will float around in space. When everything has a designated space, the place is easier to clean. I still have herds of white elephants in need of assignment.
@@valkyriesardo278 I totally agree with you. Unless I have an item that is soaking, at least I always rinsed the dishes in the sink when I left them. That is ingrained in me. Having done without a dishwasher for part of my life, and also the way I was raised. Yes, I’m one of those who washes my dishes before I put them in the dishwasher. I use my dishwasher for sterilization purposes only. Not only does it extend the life of dishwasher, cut down on maintenance, end smells, it also has health benefits. I had been dealing with colds, flu-like symptoms, etc. After purchasing the new washer, my health dramatically improved. You are so right about things having a dedicated space. There is an old saying, “A place for everything, and everything in its place.” These days we have too much stuff. We need to declutter. Easily said, not so easily done. I’m slowly working on it. This is perhaps my biggest conscious decision of all. Now that I know it works, that helps some. Good luck with your white elephants. Well tackle them together. 👍🏻
@karenbrauneis4290 Repeatedly over the decades, I left dishes in the sink to the point of totally disgusting no return. I knew that no matter how many times I might have attempted to clean these disgusting dishes, pots/pans, utensils, I would never feel safe to cook and eat from them... So in the garbage can they went. So wasteful, which I hated! So I realized a few years ago, I should only keep 1 of each thing out and accessible for my own use (i.e 1 fork, 1 spoon, 1 plate, 1 bowl, etc.) so whenever I needed it again for the next meal, I was forced to clean it. This seems to have helped me quite a bit. Because if I had 4 bowls, I would use all 4 in a matter of a few days and they would then lay in the sink getting stinky and nasty and I would not want to clean them (as aforementioned). 🤷🏽
My mail is delivered to a mailbox on the front of the house. Just inside the front door I placed my old baby wardrobe from the 50’s. I took out the hanging rod and added adjustable shelf brackets with just a single shelf to that area. I also added a grommet in the floor of it so I could put a smaller shredder under the shelf and run the cord out to the wall outlet. I have a file box with monthly hanging files in that area as well. The two lower drawers hold paper recycling that doesn’t need to be shredded (I used to have to sort it between glossy and other paper, but no longer). The two upper drawers hold office supplies, greeting cards and stationery. I have a shallow bin on top for the current issue of favorite mail order catalogs I still get and a small basket with postage stamps and return address labels. A page-a-day tear off calendar is also on top. When mail comes in I immediately shred the junk mail with my name and address. For bills paid by check I paperclip the return envelope and bill only to the date I intend to pay it on the tear off daily calendar. Inserts go in recycling if they don’t have any personal info. When I pay bills the stamps and address labels are right there and I file the paid bill in the monthly folder. I’ve been using this system for about two years and it has worked like a charm for me.
Donating our coffee table was a game changer for keeping the family room uncluttered. I also got rid of the ottoman storage because it was out of sight, out of mind. When I finally looked at what I had placed inside a year later, I realized I really didn’t want to keep any of it.
Hi, I love a couple of tips I never thought about. My favorite is while I'm doing something, I go to an area and decluter one thing and go back. I love this idea because it won't be daunting to design a te a day, just to declutter. Brilliant!!! There are others I also did not think about, but I will save this video to look at it as many times as I need to implement the ones relevant to me. Thank you.
Sometimes recycling just becomes too much, so I just throw it in the closest garbage. Whatever makes it faster and easier. These are great tips. Thank you.
I do almost all of these tips. I have a large cooking pan on my counter that I put things that have been opened like chips etc So that will use them up instead of them being stuck in a cabinet
Thanks. Some good ideas here, though my shoes would be destroyed in a basket, SIGH. This means I did need to get some small wall shoe systems-for the front room and bedroom. I looooove the clothing hangers idea, as my weight has been fluctuating. The round coffee table is definitely on its side against the wall so, I may find some brackets for instant art. The bag inserts kept getting destroyed so, I got those strong, reusable clear sandwich-style ones. (They are awesome.) Also, I regularly fill up the car with stuff for Goodwill. (They charge for pickups.) THIS is what reminds me of all my progress😓🥲. (We do Not lend, sorry. Too many bad experiences.) The clothes are all over the bottom of the bed so, it MUST be put away prior to the next wash🧺. (Otherwise, more pile up!) Clean as you go🎶, clean as you go. 🥂 .
Empty shampoo bottle out of shower and later down the stairs, just like you. Glad I’m not the only one. 😃 Great ideas and advice in this and the lazy cleaning video. Glad I found your channel.
These are wonderful refreshers. I had forgotten so many of these tips AND I have also GOTTEN SO LAZY AND STOPPED DOING THEM Ever since i came home from the hospital back in 2021 !! 😮🙈🤦🏼♀️ And my teenagers sure don't help unless I pause the wifi and freeze their phone service until they get done everything i need their man strength to help me with 😂😂😂
I like the idea but it cannot work for me. I cannot pay when bills come in because I cannot maintain a buffer in my bank account and an overdraft will sink me. My life is ruled by direct deposit checks. My system is keep or toss incoming paper. The keepers go into a designated box pending income which happens twice a month. Then I sit down with my box and my spreadsheet to calculate what gets paid on what day and how much cash remains for shopping. Paid bills are filed. Unfinished business remains in the box.
@@valkyriesardo278even if you don't have the money to pay it right away, you can still put the payment into your bank app with a future date (the day you get paid) and then toss the paper.
@@gwendolynmeredith5779 dude, your name is on the Internet. Do you honestly think you're so special that someone would go through trash to find it out? 🙄
To cut down on hot water usage you can use vinegar from a spray bottle as a rinse. Vinegar does kill germs. or sometimes I have a little bleach in the sink of watr for germs/stained cups etc. U can clean bout evrythng inc laundry w just vinegar/baking soda
I moved this month and I took advantige of this to declutter and simplify! In my new home , I also attacked those clutter red flags: - I put a sticker on my mailbox that I don't want commercial mail. That already changes a lot. I get half of the mail I used to. - I got a entryhall cabinet with room for shoe storage and a hook for the bag that I'm currently using - We had to change the kitchen because it was old and I made sure the new kitchen had a hidden reck above the firepit for spices!
My daughter found wonderful foot stools that are basically empty cubes they can store extra couch pillows and blankets in. The tops are reversible; one side is a tray with sides, which is great for snacks or small games. The other side is cushioned to be a nice foot rest.
Amen to the robot vacuum. I've been using one for more than 7 yrs now. My floors and carpet stay clean, pet hair shedding is managed. I will never be without one. Prices have really come down since the introduction of the first models.
I just subscribed, you make absolute sense to me. I have been doing lots of decluttering. I have been donating plenty of the stuff, and flat out throwing things away. Hanging up every thing if it doesn’t fit something’s need to go. I like your style! Thank you
I made a game of cleaning dishes which my kids love. When you put one dish in the sink you wash one other dish .You can even rinse and put a dish in the dishwasher.
I walk to the kitchen trash and go thru mail there! Thanks! I got the basket and it rolls under my Coffee table (not cluttered). I have learned a lot of great hacks from you! Merry Christmas! 🎄
In Ireland you can buy smoke alarms with a 10 year battery. If you are renting, the house/apartment has to have them. No more changing batteries or testing or worrying about them 😊
I have a shark vac and love it. I love Murphy soap for cleaning just about everything, walls, floors, cabinets, tubs, etc. I use not even a full capful in a gallon of hot water. It is my favorite cleaner and I have used it for years, and it last a long time, and cleans so well. I am old school and wash my floors on my hands and knees. My kids got me so many floor cleaners like a steam mop, another one that vacuums and cleans at the same time, a spray mop, but I still wash by hand, I find it relaxing, ha. I actually love cleaning. One time I answered an ad for cleaning a doctor’s house. I found out real quick it is not the same as cleaning your own home, ha, didn’t do that for very long. Ha.
I work at least 12 hours outside of the home, but I make sure that I do dishes 4-7 times a day just to keep it clean. I agree 100% with the dishes, keep them out of the sink and off the tables.
I keep my spices in an acrylic lazy susan where I can still see them, but spin them to me as I need them. I also use a lazy susan in my bathroom cupboard to hold medicines and the like.
I keep my spices in a drawer for easy access. Before that, I kept them in a cabinet in a Lazy Susan which helped save space and made retrieving the spice I needed very easy.
I have never had a coffee table. 🥰And in regards to your other video on what not to have; i have always had a handheld shower head. 🥰. I use a broom for scrubbing shower walls and tub. 💃💃💃
I keep my spices on lazy Susan’s and they are alphabetical so always easy to find. If you are short on space try buying your spices from a bulk store and buy only what you need for the period of time they stay fresh. Label pint sized freezer zip locks (the type that press to seal not the slider top type) and write the spice name on the label area. Using a paper punch, punch a hole in the lip beyond the seal in the upper left corner. Corral them in alphabetical order with a hinged key ring and you can hang your entire collection on a hook inside your pantry or cabinet.
“Lazy” and “easy” and “quick” hacks r the best! More time for what matters I prefer interacting with people who select the easy ways. They’re usually full of excellent life philosophy, innovative, and fun! Thanks!!
I sit in my bedroom chair to dress. But I added a towel bar on the back of my closet door to drape clothes temporarily. My pjs go there during the day and my jeans and sometimes a T or sweatshirt I’m going to wear again go there at night.
Right always take occasions to declutter very fast. For example: on the occasion of getting your new groceries - before you make the new purchase declutter your fridge and give it a fast wipe. It is very easy to do if the refridgerator is nearly empty. If you put the glasses from your dishwasher in the cabinet look for items to declutter. Maybe you have glasses which you do not want anymore and never get them out. etc...
Dishes are something most people have more than they actually need. I minimized the amount of dishes to what I would need . This also forces me to wash dishes and not let them sit in the sink. I do have china used for holidays stored with holiday decorations in a separate pantry.
Where I live, you can put a sign on the letterbox saying, "No advertising mail" or No junk mail", and you won't find any. The other matter of continuously washing dishes throughout the day wastes water, as I have to run the tap (faucet) until it gets hot. Instead I half fill the sink with hot water & washing liquid, then everyone can put their things in there to soak. Then I wash them & a quick rinse. Top up the hot water if there are many dishes. It's easier than having running water the whole time. Or pop them. In the dishwasher.
Dishes: look that you are getting up with your dishwasher and your trash pin. This will help to put dirty dishes straight away and trash which was on some dishes. And secondly: never put dishes into the sink if it is not needed (because it needs a soaking etc). Thirdly: when ever you have to wet your hands (eg if you have to wash your hands or to wipe something with a wet towel) wash some of your dishes. This 3 things will help you soo much to keep up with your kitchen!
Oh my god, I loved hearing Taryn mention throwing the shampoo bottle into the sink from the shower (I do the same.) And then cracked up hearing the bottle gets thrown down the stairs. LOL. So funny and so real.
@@tarynmaria_ I love your video - thank you! Great ideas. How well does the robot vac clean up close to the walls, please? My kitchen has lots of little crumbs that accumulate under the toe space beneath the cabinets. Will the robot get those crumbs, or will I still need to sweep there, please?
When preparing a meal, do the washing up and put ingredients away while the food is cooking. You are stuck in the kitchen anyway so make good use of that time. After the meal all that remains to wash is the tableware and pots. You can get the kitchen squeaky clean before the cookies come out of the oven.
Shoes in a bin no thanks. Leave dirt and stuff and digging around. Just put a small shoe rack take shoes off put it on the rack the are dried no one's shoes R touching ea. others cuz I sure don't want my nice white tennies or heels tossed in w my old man's shoes, or kids, as they wil B to walk thru oil, 💩 gum etc!
I wash dishes as I cook. I cook Indian food. So when I have the lentils in the pressure cooker I wash some dishes. When my dal is boiling on the stove, I clean some dishes. So by the tome I finish cooking, I would have finished with most dishes. Only those that need soaking would he left. This way I wouldn't stare at a mountain of dishes after slaving over a hot stove.
We access batteries so rarely that I keep my bin of batteries at the back of the bottom shelf of the refrigerator. I always know where they are and the bin itself keeps me from shoving left-overs into that hard-to-see, harder-to-reach area.
I think these were good ideas, but I don't really get hanging your jeans that way. By folding them in half, aren't you actually making them twice as thick, meaning your closet won't hold as many? I hang all my jeans and pants with wooden pant hangers, with the 2 clips (the way they are often hung in stores). And a question about the shoe basket; are these a sneakers and casual run-around shoes? I'm just thinking about my husband tracking leaves or dirt on his shoes and then him just dumping them into the basket on top of my flats. Don't most people just keep their shoes in the closet? Other than that, I enjoyed these ideas. Thanks!
Hi! With the jeans - I have found that the hooks take up less space than the hangers so even if you fold the jeans, you can still fit more because the hooks are so small. And yes - the shoes! Those are mainly kids shoes and casual shoes in the basket. I don't put any of my nicer shoes in there but I'll definitely toss my sneakers in :) Thank you so much for commenting!!

I stand near my trash can and go through my mail... 99 percent of my mail is junk. I got rid of the chest that I used as a coffee table. I have a desk instead. I keep the desk clutter-free. clutter-free.
How do you keep your desk clutter-free, please? I have stacking trays, and I have file folders stood up vertically, and yet I always have a stack of to-dos or not sures on the right side of my desk. And a handful of papers of computer to-dos next to it, too.
The shoe basket makes no sense. People (aka kids) will just dump it to get to the shoes on bottom or they'll forget about the shoes on bottom completely.
I never buy anything right away from Amazon unless it has sat in my saved for later for at least 6 months cool down period, *Unless* it is an item that has just been used up or broken, then it doesn't have to sit because it is a 1 to 1 replacement.
Were I live, we simply put the postoffice free tag that says "NO UNADRESSED POST, THANK YOU! ". (In my language :-) The post man then will see too that we do not get advertising and unaddressed envelopes and newspapers in our door mat or in our mailbox. The postoffice must respect this. 99% of paper clutter is not happening. We’ve had this arrangements at least for 10 year, if not longer.
I don’t like borrowing stuff. One time I borrowed some friends suitcase ( which was an older one) and on our travel it broke and we ended up buying a new one for them. Could have bought ourselves a new one and safe the troubles and money😅
You can opt out of most junk mail as well as national DO NOT CALL list. Opt out has reduced our mail GREATLY. We also are going "paperless" & put UL bills etc on auto-pay. Saves u th clutter, better 4 environment. No worries but auto deposit pay. I keep sum cash out 4 going out 2eat n misc. Major groceries & gas is calculated ahead 4 the month. ALWAYS ask if discount 4 paying in cash, or any senior discount, etc. Almost all we wear come frm thrift stores & evn thn we try2 stick2 DAILY DEALS. TRY2 sell or donate bout same amt. as wat is brought in. I prefer #1 battered women's shelter, Child crisis center always needs items as they are quickly taken 2safety. 3rd is disabled military vets.
About the fancy shoe hack...i did that i have a beautiful cube seat thing by our front door and guess what the shoes are still ALL OVER. Also YES. Lessoning the empty space holders...extra tables counters etc
Don't need to buy clear bins, I reuse the ones salad comes in. Now they don't come w a lid😢+ R mor flimsy, so just dbl em. Regret tossing the better 1's esp w lid. Excellent 4 spice" packets. Also th clear plastic bins berries, cherry tomatoes come in. OMG, 4 fone chrg. cords, sml toy pieces, marbles, beads, make-up sponges, batteries stand up (DON'T use shoebox, drains batt) evn use in handyGAL tool box drawer to org. Nuts, bolts, screws etc. Can lift out & have near my project evn! (can remove lid as needed) Magnetic spice($1store) n knife mag. are space saver + protect blades😊 Grew up fairly poor, learned 2 make most of wat we had. Mom evn took hem outn button's/zippers off old clothes, then cut N2 quilt pieces or make "rag rug". I've hardly bought foil/clear film, wipe off n put on empty paper towel roll.

@@amg9163 yes! Great idea!
Love that - thank you for sharing!!
Donating our coffee table was a game changer for keeping the family room uncluttered.
I also got rid of the ottoman storage because it was out of sight, out of mind. When I finally looked at what I had placed inside a year later, I realized I really didn’t want to keep any of it.
Yes! I still have the ottoman but definitely do not miss the coffee table :)
I've always hung my jeans, on a hanger, like slacks.😊
Hi, I love a couple of tips I never thought about. My favorite is while I'm doing something, I go to an area and decluter one thing and go back. I love this idea because it won't be daunting to design a te a day, just to declutter. Brilliant!!! There are others I also did not think about, but I will save this video to look at it as many times as I need to implement the ones relevant to me. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your sweet comment and I'm so glad the video was helpful!
Sometimes recycling just becomes too much, so I just throw it in the closest garbage. Whatever makes it faster and easier. These are great tips. Thank you.
You are so welcome!!
I do almost all of these tips.
I have a large cooking pan on my
counter that I put things that have been opened like chips etc So that will use them up instead of them being stuck in a cabinet
That's a great idea!
(They are awesome.)
Also, I regularly fill up the car with stuff for Goodwill. (They charge for pickups.) THIS is what reminds me of all my progress😓🥲. (We do Not lend, sorry. Too many bad experiences.) The clothes are all over the bottom of the bed so, it MUST be put away prior to the next wash🧺. (Otherwise, more pile up!)
Clean as you go🎶, clean as you go. 🥂 .
Thank you so much for sharing!!
Empty shampoo bottle out of shower and later down the stairs, just like you. Glad I’m not the only one. 😃 Great ideas and advice in this and the lazy cleaning video. Glad I found your channel.
Oh yay I'm so glad you found it too!! And I love how many people say they do the same thing I do with the empties ☺
These are wonderful refreshers. I had forgotten so many of these tips AND I have also GOTTEN SO LAZY AND STOPPED DOING THEM Ever since i came home from the hospital back in 2021 !! 😮🙈🤦🏼♀️
And my teenagers sure don't help unless I pause the wifi and freeze their phone service until they get done everything i need their man strength to help me with 😂😂😂
Ahhhh i’m so glad these are helpful! I hear you about the kids - love that you pause the WiFi!!
These are great! I was actually decluttering my coffee tables when I clicked on the video.
Yay, love it!!
Best tip I ever heard about paper clutter was to only handle it once. Put it where it goes, toss it or pay/respond .
So much easier to do it that way!
If my name is on the mail,I don't want my name stolen if I throw it in trash. Will someone answer my question..Thank you
@@gwendolynmeredith5779 dude, your name is on the Internet. Do you honestly think you're so special that someone would go through trash to find it out? 🙄
If you write what's in the herb/spice jar on top, it's easier to find, without lifting each jar
Thanks Helen! :)
great tips. For spices I use bins too but i divide them by “single” favor spices (example cinnamon) and “blended” spices (example Italian seasoning)
Love that idea!
I do this too!
To cut down on hot water usage you can use vinegar from a spray bottle as a rinse. Vinegar does kill germs. or sometimes I have a little bleach in the sink of watr for germs/stained cups etc. U can clean bout evrythng inc laundry w just vinegar/baking soda
I love vinegar for cleaning too!
You have some genius ideas. ❤
Thank you!! ❤
I moved this month and I took advantige of this to declutter and simplify!
In my new home , I also attacked those clutter red flags:
- I put a sticker on my mailbox that I don't want commercial mail. That already changes a lot. I get half of the mail I used to.
- I got a entryhall cabinet with room for shoe storage and a hook for the bag that I'm currently using
- We had to change the kitchen because it was old and I made sure the new kitchen had a hidden reck above the firepit for spices!
Love that, thank you so much for sharing! And congrats on your move!
Your tips are amazing! Thank you Taryn Maria❤
Thank you!! ❤️
My daughter found wonderful foot stools that are basically empty cubes they can store extra couch pillows and blankets in. The tops are reversible; one side is a tray with sides, which is great for snacks or small games. The other side is cushioned to be a nice foot rest.
YES! I have one of these too, I love it! The reversible top is so useful!
Amen to the robot vacuum. I've been using one for more than 7 yrs now. My floors and carpet stay clean, pet hair shedding is managed. I will never be without one. Prices have really come down since the introduction of the first models.
Right?! So much more affordable now- and game changing!
I just subscribed, you make absolute sense to me. I have been doing lots of decluttering. I have been donating plenty of the stuff, and flat out throwing things away. Hanging up every thing if it doesn’t fit something’s need to go. I like your style! Thank you
Yay I’m so glad you’re here!
I made a game of cleaning dishes which my kids love. When you put one dish in the sink you wash one other dish .You can even rinse and put a dish in the dishwasher.
Great idea!!
I walk to the kitchen trash and go thru mail there! Thanks! I got the basket and it rolls under my Coffee table (not cluttered). I have learned a lot of great hacks from you! Merry Christmas! 🎄
Thank you so much and Merry Christmas to you!! ♥
In Ireland you can buy smoke alarms with a 10 year battery. If you are renting, the house/apartment has to have them. No more changing batteries or testing or worrying about them 😊
Cool! I think you can buy those here now too but we don't have them yet! :)
Ha.
I'll have to try that soap - I know it but haven't used it! Thank you for sharing!!
I work at least 12 hours outside of the home, but I make sure that I do dishes 4-7 times a day just to keep it clean. I agree 100% with the dishes, keep them out of the sink and off the tables.
Thanks for sharing!!
I keep my spices in an acrylic lazy susan where I can still see them, but spin them to me as I need them. I also use a lazy susan in my bathroom cupboard to hold medicines and the like.
Such a great idea!
Enjoyed these productive ideas girlie
I'm so glad!
Thanks for the great tips. I'm totally going to incorporate the shower ring jeans hack😊
Love that!! 😊
I keep my spices in a drawer for easy access. Before that, I kept them in a cabinet in a Lazy Susan which helped save space and made retrieving the spice I needed very easy.
Great tip!
I have never had a coffee table. 🥰And in regards to your other video on what not to have; i have always had a handheld shower head. 🥰. I use a broom for scrubbing shower walls and tub. 💃💃💃
Awesome! I've used a broom too - anything with a long handle is so much easier 😊
Thank you for sharing all of these ideas!!
At Sprouts, sum othr stores, it's cheaper 2 scoop ur own into zip bags tht are provided 4 U
I use my handy label maker and put the names of spices on the tops of the containers. Game changer.
Love that idea!
Ditto.
Girl you ers wise beyond your years!
Aww thank you Robin!

Aww love your comment, thank you so much for watching!!
A tip I have is get rid of sippy cups and use tin cups for young kids at meals. And spouted water bottle in the living room.
Awesome, thanks for sharing!
I sit in my bedroom chair to dress. But I added a towel bar on the back of my closet door to drape clothes temporarily. My pjs go there during the day and my jeans and sometimes a T or sweatshirt I’m going to wear again go there at night.
Those are awesome ideas!
Right always take occasions to declutter very fast. For example: on the occasion of getting your new groceries -
before you make the new purchase declutter your fridge and give it a fast wipe. It is very easy to do if the refridgerator is nearly empty. If you put the glasses from your dishwasher in the cabinet look for items to declutter. Maybe you have glasses which you do not want anymore and never get them out. etc...
Paper clutter is my nemesis
Oh my gosh, yes!
My new favorite home youtuber!
Awww thank you so much, Sara!!
You're brilliant. Subscribed. Thank you for all your great ideas!
Awesome, I'm so happy you are here!!!
I don't use a mechanical lawn mower...I just let the horses out on the lawn! They take care of it in no time! ;)
Amazing!
I removed our coffee table same reason. Then everything was left on floor nxt to sofa etc. So still working on this😂
Thank you for sharing! 😊
Dishes are something most people have more than they actually need. I minimized the amount of dishes to what I would need . This also forces me to wash dishes and not let them sit in the sink. I do have china used for holidays stored with holiday decorations in a separate pantry.
Thank you for sharing, Carole!
These were actually really good!!! Ty 🙌🏾
Thank you!!! 😊
Great ideas.
Thank you!!
Great idea about the dishes! I'm also jealous about the sign on the letterbox - I don't think we have that here but I'm totally looking into that!
Definitely researching the sign on the mailbox about no junk/advertising mail!
I'll share if I find anything out too!@@Mo.Vintage15
Dishes: look that you are getting up with your dishwasher and your trash pin. This will help to put dirty dishes straight away and trash which was on some dishes. And secondly: never put dishes into the sink if it is not needed (because it needs a soaking etc). Thirdly: when ever you have to wet your hands (eg if you have to wash your hands or to wipe something with a wet towel) wash some of your dishes. This 3 things will help you soo much to keep up with your kitchen!
Thank you so much!!
I've seen S hooks used to hang bottoms with belt loops before but shower curtain hooks are probably an even cheaper solution.
Yes! I had some extras and decided to use them and they worked!
I love your ideas. Thank you

Haha! I do exactly the same as you with empty shampoo bottles! Nothing weird about it 😉 And yes, my robovac changed my life.
Kindred spirits! Love it!!
Great ideas!😊❤
Thank you, Joann! 😊
When preparing a meal, do the washing up and put ingredients away while the food is cooking. You are stuck in the kitchen anyway so make good use of that time. After the meal all that remains to wash is the tableware and pots. You can get the kitchen squeaky clean before the cookies come out of the oven.
For sure! I once heard someone say you can always tell a good cook by how clean the kitchen is when they're done so I live by that now!
thank you
You're so welcome!
My front room is full of paper from mail and other things. Luckily I don’t have many shoes. I’m trying to design my own space saver closet.
Sounds great!
Please talk about pets. They cause odor and big messes with lots of toys and hair, etc. it's exhausting to keep after pets mess. Thanks
Great idea! I’ll do that!
Shampoo bottle again down the stairs .lolllld 😊😊
Many people are not this hyperactive and want to stay constantly Busy, no matter what room they're in.

So when I have the lentils in the pressure cooker
I wash some dishes. When my dal is boiling on the stove, I clean some dishes. So by the tome I finish cooking, I would have finished with most dishes. Only those that need soaking would he left. This way I wouldn't stare at a mountain of dishes after slaving over a hot stove.
Love that! I do this too and it's so much easier 😊
We access batteries so rarely that I keep my bin of batteries at the back of the bottom shelf of the refrigerator. I always know where they are and the bin itself keeps me from shoving left-overs into that hard-to-see, harder-to-reach area.
That's a great idea!
LOL!!! I swear it sounds like we live together lol this is my house
Haha - LOVE it!

Yes- so much junk mail!
How do you keep your desk clutter-free, please? I have stacking trays, and I have file folders stood up vertically, and yet I always have a stack of to-dos or not sures on the right side of my desk. And a handful of papers of computer to-dos next to it, too.
We had to cut back on the number of dishes and utensils. We each get one of everything.
Great idea! I've seen people do that and like it :)
The shoe basket makes no sense. People (aka kids) will just dump it to get to the shoes on bottom or they'll forget about the shoes on bottom completely.
It works for us! Plus, the kids only have 2 pairs of shoes each to keep it easier.
I throw junk mail away right away and when I buy new clothing I get rid of the old stuff
Awesome!
I never buy anything right away from Amazon unless it has sat in my saved for later for at least 6 months cool down period, *Unless* it is an item that has just been used up or broken, then it doesn't have to sit because it is a 1 to 1 replacement.
Wow, 6 months is amazing! I thought I was doing well with 72 hours! :)
I call this working smarter not harder
Totally! 😊
I’m going to try this! 😊

I don’t like borrowing stuff. One time I borrowed some friends suitcase ( which was an older one) and on our travel it broke and we ended up buying a new one for them. Could have bought ourselves a new one and safe the troubles and money😅
Oh no!!! That stinks!!
You can opt out of most junk mail as well as national DO NOT CALL list. Opt out has reduced our mail GREATLY. We also are going "paperless" & put UL bills etc on auto-pay.
