@@Yahmyfortress you can't play music through Bluetooth unfortunately..just got this car last week and learned that .its fine going to put in a touchscreen with bluetooth anyway
There is really nothing wrong with the Maxima's CVT. It's better than half the 6 speed automatics I've experienced. The 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder Nissan's have an entirely different feel.
there sure is a problem when many of these cars utilizing a similar transmission design under the nissan and infiniti badge that are slipping reliability numbers due to premature failures, and pin breaking. i just couldn't be called a car person if i say id prefer to hear a 3.5 liter v6 let alone a VQ sit there at redline and scream up to speed rather then shift linearly through the gears and around the power band more evenly. this car is marketed as a full size SPORTS sedan, it even says so on the rear windows, a sports sedan isnt something just as fast as an altima V6 with the same amount of room and worse handling. I mean i could go on and on, but theyr'e making middle of the road cars then advertising ONE thing in each one to make a stink about (like the nasa seats in the altima that are no big deal at all) and like i said elsewhere in an age where this industry is putting on its A game middle of the road stuff isn't going to do it. especially when reliability falls so hard audi beats it, thats reaaaaally not good nissan. I didnt have an issue with their vanilla designed and drive cars before whether it be 4 cyl or 6, but now theyr'e having CVT and build quality concerns out the ass lately and bottom line they need to stop living in 2007 and crank out some better made cars.
I like these but I have a few gripes with them 1. I think the CVT route is the wrong one 2. If those "chrome" door handles are anything like the ones on the 2010 rouges than theyre plastic And then that cupholder thing would really piss me off
It's not that its a bad car, but its nothing Nissan would be capable of if they really put some effort in something for a change. the new Q50 apparently has a duller drive, (i cant speak i havent driven one) the new pathfinder and JX35 (now under a Q name) are extrEMELY unreliable and boring to drive, theyre not making bad cars, but theyr'e making medium stuff. and in a market where companies like Honda, gm, chrysler, ford, VW, hell even toyota are putting on their A game nissan needs to step on it or they'll slip below the koreans belt i mean when was the last time anyone saw the sentra as an exciting or engauging competetor in the class of compacts, or the versa against a fit or fiesta, never and its pretty sad they have such a high status and havent put out anything ground breaking since 2007. the unique card is crap too, they kept the GTR around for looks but thats all they got ridin' by now.
Watching this in 2020. I actually bought this car in 2020. Very Clean Buy I got. I love my choice!
