I had a 2005 maxima before this one that I put 220,000 miles on it and had to replace the transmission at 152,000 miles. I had rode that car pretty hard always flying and it still held up. I always run 5w 30 valvoline full synthetic in them and I think that’s why they last. My current one is babied a lot and garage kept. They are great cars for a long commute
Sharp car, every needs a good daily driver. Especially traveling to and from work like yourself. My nephew has one with like 170k on the clock. It will run forever
you don't hear them shift because they don't actually have gears it's a belt with clutch rings. when the transmission starts going bad you don't hear a knock you hear a whistling. it's the belt. long as you go easy with them put the E brake on on hills don't neutral drop or ram it from reverse to drive it should hold up. the issue with these transmissions is mainly belt goes out from getting to hot. that's why they suggest changing the transmission fluid every 25k miles. sometimes the cooling systems will burn up in them because there's not enough or too much transmission fluid has to be just right it has to be the CVT transmission fluid not normal transmission fluid because it's a belt drive. it's 50/50 w the CTV if you take care of it it should last for a long time if you don't take care of it it won't last a long time.
Fam, got a 2010 SV dark slate, Love that car. Had a 01, for 14 years.. Beautiful. All you need are some T194 led bulbs, for the 2 lights above console, bottom of doors, lights over backdoors.. Safe

Luckily i have a brother who’s a mechanic and does the labor for free lol. After the motor swap (which was swapped in march of this year) it has been reliable as hell. I will say it’s a gas hogger in the city, but in the highway, she’s good in mpg.
In 2017 i got a 2010 with 24k miles. Ive been daily driving it 2023 it has 117k and all I've done is replaced the ac compressor and changed all fluids. Great car I've enjoyed the hell out of it

I just got a 2011 a few days ago. I love it besides cornering bc of the cvt. I saw someone did a manual swap for 4k but that’s probably over half the value of the car
U have to get the CD I think there is like 3 or 4, takes a hour or little longer, I did mine last year. If u still need help I can grab the package and send u picture. Bluetooth was easy, I need to try and put new fuse in tp work my charger to charge phone.
I have 2010 Maxima make sure you get the transmission service those CVT transmissions are complicated and expensive to replace... don’t really like the CVT transmission seems to take power away from the car feels like a rubber band... I also have a Acura TL quicker than the max
@@emekaokafor8706 Yes had to replace the transmission for $4500…make sure to get the transmission serviced if you buy a used Nissan with a CVT transmission they’re good transmissions just need to be serviced.

The CVT transmission scares the heck out of me. Other than that I would buy a 2012 ( least issues) and go from there. Lots of guys don't do their own work and would end up at the dealership- idk just saying.
Get the maintenance report on the car before going forward. As for the CVT you treat it differently than you would others. Stop and hold the brake every time you change gears. Those who cry the tranny went out switched gears during movement of the car. That's a no no.

The 2010 has the blue tooth in it and the rear view cam. Should go with that instead.
2010 models have a bad parasite drain issue that will kill battery and alternator constantly.
