Honestly I think we all knew that most (not all) makeup influencers lie about the product there promoting before this situation happened. I think what’s different about this Mikayla situation is that it was just so visibly obvious. It’s honestly outlandish how she thought that we couldn’t tell.
not only did she blatantly lie (in my opinion) but you can see where the lashes end in th middle of her eye, if you look closely you can see that the lashes switch directions (in the middle of the lash) and you can see the gap of the strip last
I saw a tik tok on this issue and there was a lash professional who does lashes and said she had lash extentions. So she's lying to her fans! And I can't wait for jeffree to come back to review makeup he's the only one I've trusted when it came to products.
Exactly, I don’t particularly care for Jeffree like I did back in the early 2010s but if it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t know how to read expiration dates, the way to tell an item is pasted shelf life, etc.
People have been accusing me of getting lash extensions since lash extensions became popular. Just remember “professional” or not, lash extensions were invented because people like me exist and y’all were jealous. 😅

I follow her and all and got the mascara bc I love the original telescopic ones however. I have longer lashes than her and will say this mascara is nothing special. It’s okay but it does not do that full wispy look at the end. The more coats the clumpier.
Imagine being a beauty influencer in the beauty community and think that people who are actively involved in wearing beauty wouldn’t realize that you have fake lashes and are overall being deceptive with your beauty routine. I know fake lashes. Those are falsies
I think she should film a live review of the mascara without any filters on the video or anything to show whether the results are the same as before. That could perhaps prove to everyone what the truth actually is. I doubt she'd ever do that though.

The fact that she really thought no one would notice. I’m screaming 😭😭😭
I respect your videos. Always go in such a good order when explaining situations. Not too much, not too little. I like it
Mikayla is always in something that’s the only time I ever hear about her.
Fr that’s the only time I’ve ever seen her
i’ve really liked her but after the waitress incident and then her saying being out of touch about her job now this i just cant
@@a_aysh same
@@kassandranunez2899 what was the waitress incident
@@kimdracuIa so a waitress has posted on her tik tok calling her out for being rude and basically acting like she was to good for her i will try to find her @ but then mikayla reached out to her and apologized and a tik tok video as well saying it was bc she has alot of anxiety so she comes off like a bitch but when the waitress didn’t yk accept it he deleted it
I bet L’Oréal is LOVING this. Forget Mikayla but everyone in the beauty and drama community are talking about how great this mascara is. This is the best thing that could have happened to them.
theyre waiting for the perfect opportunity to make a statement calling out lying and get even MORE publicity
Naah.. I was actually put off buying this mascara. I'm not a makeup expert, I saw this short video of her showing off the mascara and added it my wishlist. Before I bought it this story breaks out...and now I don't want this mascara anymore. It looks about as good as any other mascara without the fals lashes.
she literally could have used the fake lashes as another selling point but she played herself. She could have said I really love these paired with false lashes as well!
this!
Kinda shocked that she's only 24 years old
I thought she was 40 !!!!
@@Lala2lulu Me too! Well, 40 and then some, to be honest
I always thought she was 30 something
Same 💀
I'm 40 and she looks my age. Wierd.
Bretman and kirsten lashes didn’t magically grow extra lashes 😂 kayla definitely wore wispy lashes you can tell by how thin the “lashes” ar in between the mascara coated lashes
She doesn’t realize that not only will this effect her reviews but, also when she comes out with her own products
Even mascara commercials have a disclaimer saying “false lashes added for volume” but Mikayla wants to lie for a check she already had 😂
Why is the makeup and beauty community filled with the most over-the-top, ridiculous drama? It’s blows my mind 😂
Exactly
Have you ever heard the expression,”there’s nothing worse then a bunch of women?” The beauty community is dominated by women and often times we are not as good to each other as we should be. There are also those who have the ability to bring chaos to every aspect of their lives!!!
@@mindygooding9458 your misogyny is showing. Men and women both are capable to be mean to each other. Men use physical violence while women use psychological violence such as gossip, lies, etc. Both genders are capable of chaos in different ways.
@@NNBU I agree with you but we are talking about the beauty community.
Didn’t she get called out for using filters in her reviews? Which defeats the purpose of a makeup review…
Yep! She sure as heck, did!
Her stans fight her battles and will bully anyone who doesn’t praise MiKayla and may have some criticism. They’re in denial that she filters herself to someone unrecognizable. I’ve seen shots of her in public, the difference is drastic. 😩
Yep! 😂
Tbh…. Fame and money got to her …..
100% Charlotte Dobre done a video on the "social media is hard" video and it made sense but this is just ridiculous. If it doesn't work you owe it your fans to let them know.
“Fame”
C class fame lmfao. Delusion.

Tea time 😂❤ I was sent to the ICU when Kathleen said something 😂
The thing is the lashes looked great for that mascara without the falsies!
That's what I was thinking, it looks like a good mascara on its own. No need to lie about it?
Yes and the others that had the same sponsorship didn't lie either. So clearly Loreal didn't ask her to do that. She lost the trust of her followers for no reason.
i followed her back when she worked at Ulta. she was awesome and super genuine and now it just feels so different:(
Money and fame change people, she's proving she's no exception
I'll believe those are her real lashes when she repeats the demonstration of the product uncut and live. Edit: I this comment was intended to be sarcastic Lol she is being so deceptive its fucking blatant she did something extra to her lashes! Like the side by side makes it look like she suddenly grew more lash hairs between the cuts!
Unfortunately that’s not gonna happen
@@therecipe5606 yeah I'm not holding my breath for it lol
Really?! On the close up you can clearly see the uniform lashes behind her real ones, but I guess you need to be someone who has experience with false strip lashes, as well as false lash pieces, to see it because I see it CLEAR AS DAY which is actually sad because I no longer trust her, AT ALL. And I used to...UNTIL I found out about all the filters she uses on her skin when doing product reviews, and then this.
@@unknowntoall yeah I 100% agree! I guess my comment wasn't clear enough but intended for it to be sarcastic lol I do not believe her at all!
@@blakelay My bad! Usually I am the queen of sarcastic, I guess I didn't read your comment correctly because I was skimming comments so fast. 🤣 Sorry girl! 😉
You can literally see where rhe lashes go into the knots near her lash line ffs
It's crazy because you can tell the product does work... like you said her eyes looked great after the second coat. She didn't have to do all that extra at the end lol.
I don’t agree with what Jeffree’s past looked like… Buuuttt his makeup reviews.. I’m here for it. 🤣♥️
Right? Trash person yet somehow was the most honest reviewer.
You can literally see where the falsies end and her real lashes begin! WTF was she actually THINKING!!??
💯 thank you! Yes, there’s a clear line of demarcation and no graduations between the two.
Okay the close ups definitely helped my blind self agree that Mikayla was definitely wearing falsies 😂😂
Kathleen’s floating head with the blanket lmaooo😭
No one understands how badly I want a mascara to curl and separate my lashes like butterflies on my face. But nope. Lol
These influencers will do anything for a paycheck. Getting paid to lie. Loreal for sure is getting that coin from that mini-controversy.
the ones I like the most that make me feel like I'm wearing falsies is the Essence mascara. THOSE are chef's kiss. Particularly the one I love is the Lash Princess.
@@ribottostudio yaaas the purple lash princess is the best!!
@@_michelleee so fcking good stg
The sad thing is the mascara looked good on the first coat, it’s a lengthening mascara so the added volume made it so obvious and probably made people hesitant to buy it
Edit: also the fact she didn’t even put mascara over the falsies and you can see the colour difference is what gets me 😭
We love Kathleen Lights ✨✨
Right!! I trust her with my whole life
I just can’t believe she’s 24… I’m 26 and she looks waaayyyy older than me. ☹️ I honestly never heard of her until you brought her up with that waitress story. I don’t know these people 😭😭😭 I’m so old lol
I'm 30 and look younger haha I was shocked to find out her age honestly.
She looks like a 50 year old tryingto look younger. Not sorry.
let's not forget that she bashed Jaclyn Hill saying that her life was easy bc all Jaclyn did was opening pr packages, and now she's complaining about it? I couldn't never stand her from the first time I saw her, I didn't know why, it was my gut feeling... and it never misses damn
Truly think she’s turning into Jaclyn. just quicker. ily spilly
bretman is so good at influencing that even with this mess i still kinda wanna try the mascara 💀💀
She's getting Jeffree Star out of "retirement" to give the honest reviews we need. Sure he's a questionable person but he has never falsified his reviews. Tbh I can't wait to watch it all unfold 😂😂
The day she posted that “it’s so hard being an influencer” video, we had a legit dog fight at my work…. But sure gurl, pop off
Also, both dogs are okay thankfully
No stop because I’ve had SANDWICHES thrown at me for having mayonnaise on it for $10 an hour
I’ve had grown ass men scream at me because they didn’t have enough money to purchase their items as if it’s my fault and I control the prices of everything
It is hard being an influencer, she has to come up with videos on how she will lie to her fans. Then when she gets caught she needs a good video where she crying.
I can see how being an dishonest influencer is hard 🤥😏
I'm here for Jeffree doing makeup reviews. If he can keep it business only, I stan.
Yesssss and his products really are the best!
Omg she got off at 5:19??? oh no… my husband yesterday went in at 3 am and didn’t get home until 9 pm and today he went in at 6 am and probably will get off late as well. Before this job he was in the army and was “on the job” for weeks straight
Well just try being an influencer for a day! You have to sit in your home, doing whatever you want! Making 3 minute videos is so taxing. /J
never been able to stand this lady 💀😂
I noticed she said it was two coats but then she responded to a comment and said it was 4. She can’t even keep her lies straight. She sold out. It’s sad. And Maybelline prob won’t say anything..they’ll just sweep it under the rug.
It’s the prolapsed lip filler, for me. 🤢. She had her moment in the spotlight and will be just fine with or without being an influencer; I’m ready for the OG influencers to have their moment back in the sun.
Me too plzz I miss the old beauty community I'm sorry but even with all the drama and all 🤷♀️ being honestly problematic
@@zimazima630 preach girl; I miss the times of no grey just gurus calling each other out and not James Charles shaking his b*tt on TikTok in Kylie Skimwear for likes and views or texting a straight guy for drama. So over it.

@@JessGrisales meh. Something about his content and his personality always gave me (and still gives me) very judgey mean gay vibes.
Don’t most people get off of work at 5?
Yeah that's what I was thinking.
And her “work” isn’t real work; she gets paid mounds of money to review products we all use and to show off luxury goods and her dog and her addict fiancé.
Exactly lol
She lies too much... she even hates drama channels because they call her out, it's giving "Jaclyn hill" .... its too much, you can just she show the truth when reviewing a product... there are actual products that make lashes look full and long
Ok I'm no makeup expert but I get told all the time I have super long lashes naturally and been asked if I'm wearing falsies. My lashes never look like that after mascara. Even when blessed with naturally full and long lashes it doesn't look like that
I‘m the same way and was going to comment the same thing! People ask and then when I say no they usually take a closer look and can tell I’m only wearing mascara and are like dang girl! You can definitely tell when people are wearing lashes if you’re close enough and idk who she thinks she fooling, but it’s not working 🙄
"I literally just finished work and it's 5:19". Me, coming back from a 18 hour shift stuck on a plane with rude people wearing heels having to shove my sandwich down my mouth in 5 minutes: damn sounds rough sister
Honestly I think we all knew that most (not all) makeup influencers lie about the product there promoting before this situation happened. I think what’s different about this Mikayla situation is that it was just so visibly obvious. It’s honestly outlandish how she thought that we couldn’t tell.
JStar and Tati never led me wrong, jussayin 😬
Woah I thought she was in her 30’s… she looks a lot older
makes me wonder if she just ruined her entire career over a drugstore product. 😅
not only did she blatantly lie (in my opinion) but you can see where the lashes end in th middle of her eye, if you look closely you can see that the lashes switch directions (in the middle of the lash) and you can see the gap of the strip last
Man if someone ever does Mikayla on snatch game, they'd have SOOO much great material.
I saw a tik tok on this issue and there was a lash professional who does lashes and said she had lash extentions. So she's lying to her fans! And I can't wait for jeffree to come back to review makeup he's the only one I've trusted when it came to products.
As much as i dont like Jeffree as a person, his reviews were honest, and honestly entertaining to watch
Exactly, I don’t particularly care for Jeffree like I did back in the early 2010s but if it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t know how to read expiration dates, the way to tell an item is pasted shelf life, etc.
But I mean, Jeff wasn’t as honest in his reviews when it came to Morphe when he was affiliated with them
People have been accusing me of getting lash extensions since lash extensions became popular. Just remember “professional” or not, lash extensions were invented because people like me exist and y’all were jealous. 😅
I’m so glad this brought jeffrees honest reviews back😂
L’Oréal is def gonna be pissed at her for this. She def doesn’t have the integrity that a lot of smaller beauty influencers have achieved on UA-cam . Tik tok is full of too much BS for me to take any reviews for beauty products seriously from them
I did always like Jeffree’s reviews. They were super in depth and HONEST.
They kept poking with these fake reviews & LIES, the beast has awaken and I can’t wait to see his true HONEST review on this Mascara and so much more!!! ☺️
I love how Kathleen Lights expresses her shock with her eyes...The 👀 say it all!!
I follow her and all and got the mascara bc I love the original telescopic ones however. I have longer lashes than her and will say this mascara is nothing special. It’s okay but it does not do that full wispy look at the end. The more coats the clumpier.
Lol that other girl who was telling who promoted the mascara too was super annoying.
SAME. I thought she was getting picked on too but man.. the more that comes out I’m just like damn these people have me fooled sometimes.. 😮💨
Imagine being a beauty influencer in the beauty community and think that people who are actively involved in wearing beauty wouldn’t realize that you have fake lashes and are overall being deceptive with your beauty routine. I know fake lashes. Those are falsies
Idk how she thought we weren’t gonna notice it was so obvious 💀
BRO YOU CAN LITERALLY SEE THE CUT BETWEEN NO MAKEUP/FALSES TO EYELINER AND FALSES BETWEEN 2:43 AND 2:47
💀💀💀 damn I saw it
excuse me what?? she is 24?
WAIT WHAT😮
I think she should film a live review of the mascara without any filters on the video or anything to show whether the results are the same as before. That could perhaps prove to everyone what the truth actually is. I doubt she'd ever do that though.
the way Kathleen Lights was like “I know an Ardell Demi Wispy when I see one” 🤣🤦🏻♀️ this has been my daily mascara for idek how long. it gives such gorgeous length after a few coats so honestly not even sure why Makayla had to lie about it to begin with. This girl must think we’re all blind & dumb bc we can all clearly see she’s wearing falsies 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ when Jeffree Lynn has to tweet to let us know he’s coming bk to review makeup you know shits hit the fan 😂😂
She was right about this mascara changing her life. 😆
I have that mascara.. bought it, used it. Loved it and went to buy back ups. It’s bomb… but it does NOT make your lashes look like hers.
I think there is a difference between exaggerating a product and acting overly excited, and lying. Of course in paid sponsorships and marketing people play things up, but misleading and lying is very bad.
24year old? Makeup is really too powerful lol
My boyfriend works 14 hour nights, so I haven't liked her since she said that nonsense last year.
2:22 damn that’s definitely a false lash 😂
LMFAOO I had just seen that post yesteday and I was like " isnt....isnt that falsies???" and then BAM
I mean, she fakes her accent. Why is it surprising that she lies about other things?
I've been a makeup artist for over 17 years. And it's my very strong opinion that she put lashes on
Bruh i thought she was almost 40😮😳
Same, I'm almost 40 and I thought for sure she was close to my age lol
Tbh I really dgaf because all companies from any products has done the same sh!t like way before and now, I really don't care because that's reality all companies do it for fame and money and etc. they don't give a sh!t about you and their customers. This is why people need to learn how to make their own makeup because of this sh!t they wanna get mad at this even though IT HAS BEEN LIKE THAT FOR YEARS AND YEARS EVEN NOWWW
Everything changes her life.
i love how i never know these people but i’m still here for the tea 😭😂
Can’t handle the way she talks 😂
She’s deleting comments on her most recent video from like other influencers calling her out
She usually does in any video she doesn't want anyone saying anything negative. She always deletes comments. Just like she always uses filter's and gets called out and she lies about that also. She cries alot and tells sad stories about her life and herself and people feel sorry for her! It's all a show!
Someone literally posted a screenshot from the video where you can see the glue and the lash lifting. Like… for real? You can literally use facetune video and give yourself fake lashes that are less noticeable
I do hate Jeffree, especially as a person, I did trust his reviews more 🤷🏻♀️
the fact that she insists in the comments that its not fake eyelashes 💀💀💀
It’s the blatant lie and lack of self awareness for me. I unfollowed her real quick. It’s 2023 and I’m too tired of any problematic influencers. There’s so many others I can watch.
Love ur videos spilly. Hope ur having a good day
