When it happened we were like sh*t this is it!! We decided not to let it ruin it and we continued on and explored Costa Brava and the Pyrenees and we are still going. New videos coming out tomorrow 🤗✌

Just wow... i wish you all the luck and strengh for the next days and weeks. Clearly the van is your dream and even when bad things happen you have to follow through. So glad you have keept a cool mind and did all the right steps. Hopefully you gonna recover fast, we all looking forward for sunny videos while the winter in northern europ is coming ^^

Yes very hard. It was on the motor way he was doing way more than 120kmh. Young driver couldn't handle it and wasnt paying attention to the road and swerved and lost control when he saw us!! Thanks for your comment :)
I have driven in Spain myself. There is a real problem with young men, and women, driving like lunatics. It's worse than in the UK. I feel for you, and poor Fergus
Exactly I've seen some stupid drivers on the Spanish roads. Definitely worse than Ireland and the UK. This guy was going way above speed limit in his dad's GTI golf, he wasn't experienced enough and couldn't handle it. Such a pity it happened. Hopefully he learnt his lesson. Fergus is all fixed and going good again ✌️😁😁

Ah Lads do not let it get you down. Fix it in Spain and continue your adventure as she still drives. I lost a complete camper in France when a drunk lady crashed into her while we were asleep the car arriving under our bed and twisting the chassis. Shock Horror what do we do? The police were on the scene very quickly and did everything they could do to help us. The entire episode was stressful but within a year we were back on the road. Shit happens, get over it, in your case just continue, in our case we had to start again.
Thank you:) Fergus is still motoring on so we will continue for as long as we can and when we get back to Ireland have it fixed. If we get it fixed here we could be without a van or somewhere to sleep for a few weeks. That what happened you in France must have been horrendous and frightening.

Hello. We had almost one acident one time i Germany, it was a lorry that almost smashed us from behind. Luckily he braked and turned to the other lane. Is Ane from France?
Hey 👋 Wow that was very lucky. This guy that hit us was coming behind us and on the phone. He swerved to avoid but lost control and hit the front of the van. France, That's a first Haha shes from Spain
Usually we would have a gopro on the window... this morning we didnt at that exact moment. What basically happened was he lost control as he was in the overtaking lane and hit us and sent us spinning. It's a pitty we didnt get it on camera 🙈
We know we are fine thanks for pointing that out. it's a big shock when you are driving along and out of nowhere you get taking out by a golf that sends your van spinning. We know it could have been a lot worse but it is what it is.
Feckity feck feck, hope yiz are all right. Scary times. Dunno how it worked out, but the only time I needed Dolmen ( via Axa) they delivered 100%. And that was just a blow-out near Naas on the N4.
Very scary!! Happened so quickly! I'm with Stuart (Aviva) everything got sorted his insurance paid for everything but tbh I thought Aviva could have done more they were so slow about everything. Countless phone calls that costed a fortune 🙈
@@ShaneandAneVanLife Hope ye have no long term after effects. Best of luck for 2023. Considering the ferry to Spain this summer. Been 4 or 5 times to France, a few times to Brittany when Irish Ferries went from Rosslare, and a couple of times from Dublin to Cherbourg.
