This WAS a challenge, but then this is a 30 day yoga challenge! Gave me something to work towards, I WILL be able to do a side plank by the end of the 30 days!!
Omg I am literally physically incapable of today's set! I just did what I could, mostly from my knees. I want to get discouraged at having gotten so sedentary but instead I'm choosing to feel good about trying. Tomorrow will be better.
I'm in the same boat as you... I've been on Prednisone for 2 years (which causes muscle atrophy) and I've not been exercising nearly as much as I used to... I'm in a lot of pain and struggling to keep up, but I should do what you're doing and not push myself to the point of breaking, just trying 🌸
You worked the old guy, beginner with this one.🙂 My mantra became, "Come on, you can hold this. The whole video is only 10 minutes!!!" (Said several times 😁) Thanks, Miss Sarah Beth. You probably didn't have an almost 70 yr old male in mind as your target participants when you planned the 30 day challenge, but I'm going to do it!!!
Wow Day 7 was a dozy but I am feeling strong enough to do what my body allowed it to do today and that is all I can ask 🥴🧘🏾♀ I am grateful that it has stepped up and been consistent for 7 days straight with SarahBeth's help 💜 Namaste 🙏🏾
What do you do if you're too sore from the week before? 😅 My body hurts so much right now... not sure why it's affecting me like that this time bc I was able to do 10 mins 2x a day just 3 years ago! 😢
Continue trying, repeating these 7 routines weekly. You'll do a little better and a little more each week. There were 2 routines in this series that were difficult for me as well, but I can complete much more than I could 3 months ago. You'll get there!
Try again Might take 4 or 5 times (or more ) to get it. Took me like 10 months to finally be able to do a full chaturamga when I first started yoga in 2011. Modify. Take it slow and don't give up.
Hi, letting you know I started SBY 4 yrs ago, and I'm 73 yrs old, so I worked myself up to the 30-40 min routines; however, I've been challenged with illness so my routines/practices became not as lengthy, but I totally remain to get so much benefit from them. When I started to lose my energy levels, I didn't want to quit and get discouraged, so I modified and yes, it's a "MUST" for me since it is definitely so helpful. Keep on keeping on❤

You showed up on your mat and that is what matters the most!! The days you struggle are the ones that count the most 💪❤️

Always good to keep us guessing. Was not expecting standing half split in that sequence. My New Year’s mantra - stay in the moment.

Difficult = growth. Modify where you need it, take a break when you need it, and keep practicing! Slowly each piece will become easier! ❤
Playing ketchup, bit nervous given the comments.. but hey ho here we go!😂

As a beginner it was too much for me very early on.
Too hard for beginners 😮
