Sound amazing. Especially Walking Backwards Through the Cosmic Mirror which is a very underrated track where you can really feel the power and emotion in that song.
At the end of the day, this exercise teaches us that, in many cases, looking Shpongled in public isn’t as bad as we believe. Sure, we might get some looks and giggles, but these don’t hurt, now do they? The Cynic philosopher Diogenes of Sinope used to sleep in a barrel on the streets, walking around in ragged clothes, ‘pleasured’ himself in public, and tripped balls with people who walked past him. He fucked what people thought of him. Therefore, no one was able to hurt him.
This was the first Shpongle album I ever listened to, and nowadays it makes me think of the time I listened to it on my iPod while tripping on acid at the mall. Some notable moments: -Sitting on a bench watching people morphing while walking by, and then suddenly out of nowhere the Pokémon Leafeon & Glaceon appear & say hi to me -Getting some Cold Stone during a bout of munchies and ordering something with lots of cookie dough (can't remember what all I picked, but I was REALLY craving cookie dough for some reason) -Laughing really hard at the voices at the beginning of I Am You (34:15), which had barely even registered on my first sober listen to this album -Having an epiphany about how deep the game Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time really is -Coming down during Walking Backwards Through the Cosmic Mirror, and nearly tearing up @ 1:08:30 because it just fit PERFECTLY I want to thank my Dad's old coworker Patricia for introducing him (& then me) to such a beautiful & unique band.
