@@ShelfWarmer the way I see it, from experience, musical minds like Simon may easily get 'bored' after mastering genres, such as psytrance. He was at the forefront, and completely changed the game. It's probably why he got more fulfillment from doing something completely different, like Younger Brother, and Shpongle. Shpongle allows him to keep doing things completely different every project, and it's in a lane of his own. I also think that is why Ritchie Blackmore went into the medieval music thing lmao. That being said, I agree with ya. I'd love to have Hallucinogen christen this game with something fresh. Everything is absolutely boring now. Lol. This album still holds up.
11 years and several projects later for Simon. Y'know what... I don't. I mean I wish there were more but nobody needs to go flogging that mystical horse any more than needed. I'm extremely happy with the legacy he's left us. :)
That's the best feeling. I know exactly what you're talking about. I used to experience that more when I was a kid with headphones, closing my eyes to listen.
Here I am, 8 years in the future, and no... He didn't. Thankfully, Shpongle has evolved into something that never existed before, and we love it. But Hallucinogen will never exist again.
@@nodiggity9472 no, fl studio and abelton wasn't around when this was made. I forget which software he used, but likely Cakewalk. And yes there are samples in it, like the water, rubber ducky, and drip, but there's no telling how Simon got those sounds. He may have recorded them himself.

most sounds in the track have a detune effect on the oscillator and an lfo parameter with automation.maybe a delay automation too, that gives that trippy feeling.try and play wih those 3 parameters and see if it works ;)

I like how you come back here throughout the years like I do 😆
Greatest electronic producer of all time. Just pure genius.
bingoooooo
Israel has an entire market of clones of this genre. It's the kind of music they were playing when they were attacked during that music festival.
That water part had always been my favorite piece in all of psytrance. Simon is the G.O.A.T. he changed the game.
it would be nice if he or someone else could change the generic garbage game we got now

I remember a long time ago being on my own tripping balls listening to this. Everything was good until I listened to this. Those fucking rubber ducks.
haha :D
Rubber Ducks are not our friends.
I see them as literal tiny gnomes scurrying around making those noises 😊
Simon Posford is my sleep paralysis demon.
😂😂😂😂😭
Is it a FUN sleep paralysis demon?
