wow, this is some of the best Richie footage I've ever seen... too bad it ended badly with him, he's a powerhouse there at the end with vocals to boot!
Laura J No better guy to have for this period, definitely. I LOVE his freewheeling style here. And the LP they were touring on at this time (Too Tough To Die) was a definite case of the Ramones finding their fire again. Richie was a a BIG part of that, bless him.
@@Mrpublicimagelimited I mean you can tell Richie was the breath of fresh air the ramones needed at the time I think if they’d had carried on with mark they’d never have made to tough to die I know he didn’t play on all the songs on subterranean jungle but you could tell a change was needed that said mark is a fantastic drumming no question but I just think Richie really did help get the band back on track
marky was my favorite but richie was definitely the best. he played the fastest (johnny even got tired playing with him). richie also sang and is versatile style-wise.
@RossM3838 Richie doesn't get enough credit. He helped write some great tunes. Too Tough To Die is my favorite Ramones album. Rock N' Roll has never sounded better.
Brilliant...best rock n roll band ever. Richie is massively overlooked even by most Ramones fans. he was fantastic and breathed life into the band when they were perhaps starting to get a little jaded. Johnny used 100 Marshall on full volume and refused to turn down no matter what, where or for anybody....ever! You can hear the volume even on this youtube vid but I have to say though, Johnny's timing is slightly off right at the start of the song!
@butlerbulldogs05 His name is Richie Reinhart. In 1981 Marky (Marc Bell) was going through extreme alcoholism and missing shows and so the ramones booted him. Reinhart left the band because he was not getting a full share. By then marc was sober and rejoined and stayed to the end. Clem Burke from Blondie also played briefly with the ramones.
I don't see any mistakes from Johnny here. Saying he isn't capable of following Richie's drums is just a flat out lie. His drumming isn't harder to follow than any other punk drumming.
Scott Hitchcock I get your point here. Reading Johnny's book and Dee Dee's book They both mentioned something similar to that, and several interviews, Johnny made comments about going on because they have no other skills to anything else, and at the end they were tired of it all
Rich Reinhart's drumming is clean, powerful and consistent. Everything you could want from a drummer. Like marc he is first rate. Which one is simply a matter of taste.
What I love about The Ramones is if you watch some old footage from there CBGB days or from there last Show they are The Ramones no changing their format and/or looks to be corprate rock mouth pieces
Not gonna lie,... But i somehow got emotional looking at this perfect band, perfect line-up, knowing Joey, Dee Dee, Johnny and Tommy are dead and during the 80s this band was so ignored and overlooked, underrated and never got the attention and credit they deserved. Man, what a band, what a performance. Awesome song.
@danielscissorhands But Johnny's having a bit of trouble getting to "4" with the rest of them on the ringing G & C chords. Now we know why he never once laid claim to shouting those 4 magic numbers at the beginning of a song. :)
This is perfect punkrock. Great live version.
wow, this is some of the best Richie footage I've ever seen... too bad it ended badly with him, he's a powerhouse there at the end with vocals to boot!
I like the intimidating and serious figure of Johnny Ramone.
I love the garage band sounding intro
Richie was such an under rated ramone
PURE ROCK!!!
Man these guys are just timeless! Thanks for all the music you left us! gabba gabba hey!
Espectacular song!
ramones = god
Richie was an awesome fucking drummer. Totally underrated.
but he is rated as the best ramones drummer?
Laura J No better guy to have for this period, definitely. I LOVE his freewheeling style here. And the LP they were touring on at this time (Too Tough To Die) was a definite case of the Ramones finding their fire again. Richie was a a BIG part of that, bless him.

punk rock é a verdadeira cara do rock' n roll
I love all three Ramones drummers but Richie was something special. Great songwriter too.
My favorite Ramones drummer
The worst drummer was elvis ramone hes too slow
marky was my favorite but richie was definitely the best. he played the fastest (johnny even got tired playing with him). richie also sang and is versatile style-wise.

Awesome song.
Ramones: Best Band EVER!

Ni soporto las críticas aguante los Ramones y nada mas loco

Ramones Luna Tengo esa enfermedad llamada Ramomania jejeje \../
Best band ever.
Standing here in front of the mirror
Its gonna be all right tonight
Feelin' hot yeah I'm on fire
I'm never ever goin' to tire
Tonight it's gonna be alright
Chasing the night
Its gonna be alright
Chasing the night
Its gonna be alright
Chasing the night
Live my life as I choose
I paid the price, paid my dues
You know I need no alibi
Daytime troubles fading
Nights intoxicating
Gonna have it all tonight
That ain't no lie
[Chorus]
Rock all night
Sleep all day
It don't matter what they say
Ain't never gonna change my ways
And I won't be back till Monday
Feelin' exasperating
Excitement generating
I'm never ever gonna tire
City is overloading
The circuits are exploding
Ain't comin' down, no I'm too wired
[Chorus]

Dee Dee can count to 4, and Richie can count from 5 to 7. That works out well! :-D
danielscissorhands Aw, they're great though! 😀
Brilliant...best rock n roll band ever. Seriously, no one is gonna talk about how fucking cool Joey looks here??
Alove the ramones #1
Cuantos años x volver a verlos? .....negociamos

@MaJI0u Richie Ramone
@MaJI0u Richie...a Ramone for about 5 years...
This was later RAmones dude. Ritchie was on the drums.
When was this show. Based on hairstyle, it's between 85 and 87.
Vamos a seguir la noche, wachoooooooo!
No way IMHO.
@blackmore4 Hmm. Is Johnny behind? Maybe that's why something sounds off.
noice
2 people are not gonna chasing the night tonight 2 bad 4 them.
'86
I WON'T BE BACK TILL MONDAY!!!!
im afraid thats imposible because richie is in tour until 2009 with a philarmonic.
what year is this?cant remenber...this is london i think
Yeah, cause Tommy was the first drummer, but in my opinion they all were the best in their on way! :D
Tara Mašić Yes they were
Richie's voice sounds like Milo Aukerman's one and they both even look alike
all this means "punk never die" ....
Damn if there a Ramones movie, Andy Samberg could be a great joey ramone
Oh dang, oh dang, oh dang!
everybody says marky is the best well i say tommy ramones is the bes
I don't see any mistakes from Johnny here. Saying he isn't capable of following Richie's drums is just a flat out lie. His drumming isn't harder to follow than any other punk drumming.
Then why are you commenting about that on a Richie's video???
Who's that drummer??
Richie Ramone
+Lucius Albinus Real name reinhart and he remains very active and just as good.
BY MARI HOLA CAMI JAJAJAJ
Richie married a millionairess? where did you read that, that's interesting.
So?!
hey!johnny was not motived!...
Richie looks like the only one liking this jam Johnny and Dee Dee look bored. Joey is putting in effort but not into it it seems
Michael Frierson playing this song Can be boring (listening absolutly can'T )
Scott Hitchcock I get your point here. Reading Johnny's book and Dee Dee's book They both mentioned something similar to that, and several interviews, Johnny made comments about going on because they have no other skills to anything else, and at the end they were tired of it all
Man,the Ramones had 3 great drummers!
This is one of their most underrated songs.
Ramones is a great band as the case may be the best band ever who i know!!
Rich Reinhart's drumming is clean, powerful and consistent. Everything you could want from a drummer. Like marc he is first rate. Which one is simply a matter of taste.
Last night I went in the Richie Ramone's concert in Londrina, Brazil. What a great vibe!
Punk Rock is not dead! Long live Ramones!
Mano essa musica é muito foda....olhen o gingado do Joey....quem disse q ele num c movimentava no palco....!!!!!
Joey era um show Man....
Puro carisma e atitude
Amazing, make me feel like 18 again...
Underrated Ramones song. Richie was awesome !!!
What I love about The Ramones is if you watch some old footage from there CBGB days or from there last Show they are The Ramones no changing their format and/or looks to be corprate rock mouth pieces
Richie is the best ramones drummer.
This is my fav song off of too tough to die
Johnny must have been drunk, he's missing the tempo at the beginning.
yes yes jajaja
Not gonna lie,... But i somehow got emotional looking at this perfect band, perfect line-up, knowing Joey, Dee Dee, Johnny and Tommy are dead and during the 80s this band was so ignored and overlooked, underrated and never got the attention and credit they deserved.
Man, what a band, what a performance. Awesome song.
Dios mio q banda !! q tema!!! los amoooooooooooooooooo
Richie Ramone was the Chris Slade replacing AC/DC's original drummer Phil Rudd. Overcompetent but not the original drummer
❤
@Sefco26
Yes, Richie.
Richie > Marky
@danielscissorhands But Johnny's having a bit of trouble getting to "4" with the rest of them on the ringing G & C chords. Now we know why he never once laid claim to shouting those 4 magic numbers at the beginning of a song.
:)
