When I was 13 I took over the job of cooking for the family and one night I made exactly this, only I added chickpeas and served it with homemade focaccia bread. The family were initially horrified that they had worked all day to come home to that… until they tried it! It’s a staple in our household now. Now, to find out that it is a legitimate dish beloved by many makes me feel a part of something somehow. Sorry for rambling! Thank you for giving me a big smile and a warm heart today (and beautiful job with the salad). Love from Atlanta
I hope you don't mind. You almost gave me a start! For a brief moment it was like seeing Tele Savalas come back to give a cooking lesson!! I always thought Tele was the epitome of 😎Coolness! Thank you for sharing your yummy recipe,it is going to be shared with my Husband and Family! The best to you and yours!🥰🕊️💯💞
@@almasaravia3825 Hi Alma, i'm sorry but that's not true, the dish wasn't even possible til the late 19th century. It is very common across the Levant and parts of the Middle East, with different names and different variations. The Israeli salad was picked up from the Arab Palestinians, originating from Turkic and Azeri farmers.
Please list ingredients and their quantities. I'd appreciate it. I love health raw foods! Those who eat mostly raw vegetables and fruits live longer, healthier lives.
GREAT SALAD BAD VUDEO NEXT TIME YOU NEED TO LET US SEE HOW YOU CUTTING THE VEGGIES ALL OF THEM YOU COVERED WITH YOUR BIG BEAUTIFUL HANDS CHANGE THE CAMARA VIEW SO WE CAN SEE HOW YOU CUT IT ALL WE HEAR IS SOUND
All this argument about Israeli/Shirazi - it's possible to have the same dish in different places. Especially when it's as simple as this. To me it's just a tomato and cucumber salad, which is a very normal thing to make in many parts of the world

I use olive oil Raz
I love olive oil, but a good olive oil can sometimes dominate and take away from the flavor of the fresh vegetables.
Never thought of that! BTW- I keep the tomatoes seeds and “slime” for flavor
@@razharari2377 It sure can!
Shiraz is a city in iran so its iranian salad .....this is very old iranian salad .......IRAN
5:35 Vegetable Oil?!!! Oy vey! It has to be OLIVE OIL!

Any alternative for Parsley?
@ChinguMarie Just omit parsley. Also most people do not remove seeds from tomatoes.
Shirazi salad is from Iran.
Killer on a scwarma 🔥
This is Iranian Shirazi salad and you put an Israeli name on it... 😑
Looks good but I believe theres not such thing as an Israeli salad 😊 thats a Shirazi Salad.
I just learned something new. Thank you 😊
ACK! Not olive oil!
Just shirazi. No offense tho.
