Amen...my all time favorite song. Any day now...I shall be released...and I shall. From this body. And nothing but good memories...well, I choose to hold onto only the good ones. Hanging with my close knit group of friends, smokin herbs on the river, Vermont summer...when I was young, so much younger then I am now. Music is the one constant for me. IDK WHAT the hell is wrong with the people in the audience that won’t stay quiet during beautiful performances such as this! It’s a shame imo bc they ruin the experience for everyone else who was there (or watching it on a video like this)! I’m going on 70 now and have 💞’d this song from many years ago, since it was done with Levon Helm and Woodstock back in the late 60’s. I feel so lucky 🍀 and fortunate to have been born during the Baby Boomer generation when we had such 👍 great music, amongst other things!
Not often you hear anybody sing "...west UNTO the east." As it was written! Everybody else sings "down to the east."
