Modern Norse paganism is a revival of ancient Norse religious practices and beliefs, sometimes in modified form, that has occurred in some European countries and countries with populations of European descent such as the United States and Canada. It is commonly referred to as Asatru. Although most adherents of Asatru are not racist or white supremacist, some white supremacists have adopted modern Norse pagan beliefs and symbols. Some of these symbols include the Tyr, Algiz, Jera, Sowilu/SS, Madr and Odal/Othala runes. Also the Sun wheel/cross, Black sun, Wolfsangel, Thors Hammer/Mjolnir and Swastika have been used by certain groups in the last 100 years. This video goes over these symbols and their original meaning and history.

I don’t blame those who get bent out of shape over Swastika’s though. Since I was born the Swastika was a symbol of evil. I can’t even look at it w/o feeling ill. @Faroe I am sorry for this. There must be a way to remove it from the negative story. Personally, I do what feels good & right to me in the privacy of my own home. If I shared my beliefs with my family, I’d prob be disowned. They are all very religious. My family is Protestant and my husbands family is Mormon.

I'm half Japanese, and I find it funny that many white people I met is so anti European culture because they think European culture is racist due to colonialism and etc, yet at the same time, these same White people LOVES Asian culture so much. They loved Chinese, Japanese and etc. Comes up to me, and glorify how beautiful Japanese cultures are, and that they claim white people don't have culture, and even if they do, its racist.
And I'm like... such pathetic hypocrite aren't they. Did they forgot what Japanese did in WW1 and 2? Did they forgot what kind of leadership China have throughout history?
Why is it only the white that gets the hate if every race of every culture had done terrible things in the past and why is it now Asian culture become a thing? Suddenly everyone is into Japanese, Chinese and Korean culture. I remember back in the days people hate anime and the people who watches it, but now, everyone is watching anime. Not to mention Korean as well. Back then nobody knows Korea, but now everybody knows Kpop and even glorify Korean movie. Years ago, I remember people would literally insult that you're gay and lesbian in such derogatory term because you watched Kpop, but now, everyone fucking comes out as part of LGBTQ.
    WTF happened.

It's amazing how the world has basically outlawed ANYTHING pro European. Any race has the right to be proud of their heritage, in fact it's shoved down our throats about how lovely all races are...except Europeans. The fact we can't adorn any ancient proto indo European, especially Germanic, symbols without being shamed. I refuse to apologize for repping the sonnenrad I have tattooed and the various other archaic designs tattooed by Germanic tribes as well as the Vikings like the swas-tika is one of our peoples most IMPORTANT symbol used from the Celts, Gauls, Scythians, Germans, and Scandinavians. And funny part about me being attacked for having appreciation for my Germanic roots, I'm also proud of my moms heritage of being full Apache while my dad is German, Norwegian, with some Swedish and Danish blood.
Great video brother I respect how mature you are about your point of view it's refreshing to hear someone finally not piss on those who love their race cuz it's not born from hate it's a human right but apparently us whites can't have anything anymore.

The earliest known swastika is from 10,000 BCE - part of "an intricate meander pattern of joined-up swastikas" found on a late paleolithic figurine of a bird, carved from mammoth ivory, found in Mezine, Ukraine. It has been suggested that this swastika may be a stylised picture of a stork in flight.

It may help boost your channel's numbers, and also give viewers of the podcast a different perspective on subjects. Sure, the cultish liberals would not like it, but we don't want cult like behavior in our circles. Those cult people are the reason why certain symbols are seen as racist today.

Finland's Air Force logo (which has been changed recently, although the Air Force Academy still has it) was adopted in 1918, since the man who gave Finland it's first military planes used the symbol as a family good luck charm. Some try to say this still makes the Finnish logo related to the Nazis, since the man, Eric Von Rosen, was involved in some racial "science" before 1918 (which wasn't uncommon at the time and even in the 19th century, Finns were classified as "Asian" according to these studies into race) and because of his connections and involvement to the Nazis after 1918. That reasoning however, is total nonsense in trying to connect the Finnish swastika to the Nazis. Not to mention that swastika-like symbols such as hannunvaakuna or tursaansydän have been used in Finland for way longer with preserved use of the symbol dating back 1000 years and likely more.

Fun fact that you didn't know and most likely don't care about: the word "tyr" literally means "arrow" in persian, and is also the name of one the angels/gods in Iranian mythology, as well as being the name of the first month of summer.
And swastika can also be found in Iranian artifacts and mythology, being the symbol of sun, sky, or the four elements. Its name in persian is gardun-e-mehr, literally meaning the wheel of sun(ironic because the sun wheel symbol can also be found in our culture but we gave its name to swastika somehow).
This shows how the aryans were culturally connected, that words and symbols have the same usage and meaning from Asia to Europe.

  • @johnjay9404

    If I may, sun wheel....
Oldest symbol in history. When symbols were written language. It started out meaning earth to the Sumarians. Later, it was more of a solar symbol, dividing the seasons and solstice and equinox. A multi purpose tool symbol for an agricultural people. (By the way, the Teutonic cross, or the "iron cross" is a variation of the solar sign of solstice and equinox.)
I don't know how or why the 12 "sig" design was labeled the black sun. Only that it was associated with the Nazi's. The "black sun" in early ancient astronomy is what pagans call the sun when it sets below the equator. The Annunaki created the zodiacal calander. Dividing the earth by the equator, and the north and south 30th parallels. The sun set below the 30th parallel, that's the black sun. By the way, there are 12 sig runs making up the black sun. These represent the 12 houses of the zodiac.

Thought l could add a couple things.
The "elk" rune has been refered to as a sybol of life and fertility and death if inverted. What would make a lot of sense having it on the honor badge you've shown in the video which was one given to mothers for "producing" more aryan offspring as it were.
The wolfsangel ironically represents individuality and personal freedom, the free spirit of a true warrior to speak, what is even more ironic since it was the symbol of the 2nd "das reich" division, some of the worst war crminals even the rest of the ss dispised but hey they went out of their way to do it so l guess it's fitting.
And finally the sun wheel was sometimes refered to represent the center of the germanic world and is a product of what some call "esotheric nazism" l think himler's main inspiration was the knights of the round table which was his sorta dnd party who had regular gatherings in that dungeon doing weird rituals an shit, that's why the number twelve it is believed to have a lot of magic potency or something in many cultures. The whole castle in fact was carefully planned to perform these rituals to amongst other things, conduct esotheric warfare on the enemy in germany's last months. It just gets weirder the more you read but the first explaination seems legit.

As for the Black Sun, you are correct that the specific form that was shown here is not ancient. But it is a more stylized, formalized version of many historic forms, mostly from the Migration Era; some are attributed to the Alemani. One example even has a swastika in the center. Also, there is apparently no evidence that Himmler was responsible for incorporating the modern version in Wewelsburg castle. I have read something to the effect that it probably dates to the 19th century, although I don't recall the source. I wish we knew more about it.

On the Hooked Cross, the Finnish Air Force had been using it since 1918. They finally gave in to pressure 2 years ago to forsake the desecrated symbol. Hitler's thousand-year Reich was a total bust, but it soiled a part of our shared history that was at minimum 7000 years old. It is suspected to have originated even earlier in pre-history. I saw this thing Ng on the swastika, where it seems, that originally it comes from the position of the big dipper in relation to the north star, depending on season. Basically the big dipper rotates around the north star 90° per season, so if you draw a picture with the spring, summer, fall, and winter position, it looks like the swastika. Try googling "Big Dipper Swastika".

I disagree with some explanations here. I'm from Finland and I study magic symbology. The "algiz" depicts a family tree and is a symbol for life. So if you use it upside down it means death.
Swastika is the real "black sun". It depicts the "big dipper" in four different stages, spinning around north star. This creates black sun if you look over exposed foto from night sky. So it just means time. It was used to protect cattle and property.
Most early "Thor's hammer" jewelry seem to depict the amanita mushroom, that has been smoked in north for thousands of years. It has the similar effect as weed when smoked.
The real hammer of Thor (ukonvaaja in Finnish) means lightning. It most likely originally was just sand melted by lightning (it creates glass). And later morfed in to stone blade and axe head.
I don't know much about other runes. But seems like here has been secret language based on runes, but it only used dots...

However, I did find your comment extremely disoriented, naïve, and completely misunderstanding what racism really is. Racism comes from hate. Recognizing differences between different racial groups is not racism. Acting on the knowledge of those differences creates hate And cannot be used in any way for a good or to avoid trouble.

Slavic Kolovrat can be considered a variant of the “original” swastika and it shares the latter’s solar symbolism. It is an attribute of the Slavic solar deity, Svarog , appropriately represented by the cyclic shape of the motif.
The movement of the sun is indicated by the rotation of the symbol’s rays which look as if they’re spinning. Etymology of the world, which would translate as the “rotating circle” confirms this visual impression.
The number of kolovrat’s rays differs, but they are all arched at the top. Some of those arches are directed clockwise and others counter-clockwise.
There are various interpretations of kolovrat apart from it being the sun symbol. For example, it is believed that it stands for the eternal cycle of life and death. Contemporary neo-pagan movements ascribe elaborate interpretations to the kolovrat, and frequently apply the symbol to various items during Maslenitsa festival and to little statues known as “polovetskie baby”.
In addition, several geographical locations (in Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia) bear the name “Kolovrat”. It also functions as a surname, especially among the Czech people.

Over here in the USA we are only taught the Allied/American/Israeli version of the WWII history. I have never heard the German version of what happened, and have had a difficult time finding it. I am retired US military, mostly Germanic, with blond hair and blue eyes. I won't shit on my German brothers and sisters. I am against racism, and am against anything anti-white/European/German, as that is also racism. We Germanic/Nordic people need to unite and stick together. So what they teach you in school, is it truly the Nazi Germany side of the story? Or are they teaching you the same version they teach us over here in the USA? That's what I meant. I want to know what the Germans believed, and why all the German citizens seemed to support what Hitler and the Nazis were doing. I've seen the rally videos and there were thousands, if not tens or hundreds of thousands of loyal supporters there for Hitler. Were they all duped? Hitler’s original goal was to keep Germany German, so he used old Germanic symbols. He was not a fan of immigration, and didn’t like non-Germans marrying Germans. He also used Roman symbols due to his appreciation for their military strategy and strength. The Nazi party didn’t care about any of that, they just wanted power. I like ironic history, and their lunacy fascinates me. They were the 2nd coming of the Roman Empire, and stupidly though that history wouldn’t repeat itself. 🤣🤦‍♀️
The swastika is tricky. The symbol made its way across Europe due to Indo-Aryan migration that began roughly 4,000 years ago. Hinduism is over 4,000 years old. People would be highly surprised by how much Indian influence has made its way into many cultures. The Nazi “black sun” is a modification of the symbol on India’s national flag, so yes the Nazis did appropriate symbols from India…and their reasoning has racist roots.

    • @scythianking7315
      @scythianking7315 Рік тому +10

It didn't come from India.... other way around. It's pretty well known in Anthropology that there were Indo-European migrations , as you mentioned, but they were from Europe into India not the other way around like you seem to imply. This has been confirmed not only through linguistics and cultural similarities, but through DNA studies. Northern India has a significant portion of European Steppe DNA(R1A). This is common knowledge
In fact, it's where the entire term "INDO-European" comes from. All the oldest depictions of swastikas are from Europe as well, around the Ukraine region. The oldest Wheels and Chariots are also from this exact same region. And we know these things are all connected with Solar symbology.
So no, no one "appropriated" anything from India. What an ignorant statement. You sound like one of those insane Indian Nationalists.
It's very bizarre that you know about the Indo-European migrations into India, who clearly brought their solar symbology there, yet you try to say Germans "appropriated" it. Gtfo
