    I'm happy to see yet another option in the very limited niche of affordable electric road/gravel bikes. Excellent review as always and I could tell you really enjoyed this bike.

    Hey Court, very informative as usual! Not much of a roadie personally but I just love bikes so it's all good 🤙. What I really like is how you seem to just find random people out and about willing to give you a hand with filming...there is hope for humanity!! Keep up the good work👌

    I bought this bike, in indigo, a few weeks ago and I love it! I put on a kickstand and will upgrade the tires to handle gravel a bit better sometime but it’s so smooth. I see the control panel placement as a drawback from people but it really isn’t an issue once you get used to it. Thanks for this review!

    My E bike has all the usual bells and whistles. This video made me question whether I really need them or how much I really use them. It’s all good though. Thanks!

    Bike looks nice. I want to see a tire change mid ride on the side of the road/trail with a bolt on rear wheel with motor in the hub.

    Does this have the clearance for some bigger gravel tires? I’m curious if the frame could handle a bit of off road since it’s probably bulked up a bit just for handling the added e-bike weight in general.

    Loved this review and went out and ordered one from my local bike shop. The bike looks great. Unfortunately the mileage is MUCH lower than advertised. On level ground with no appreciable wind in medium assist the MOST I could get was 22.6 miles. I’m 5,9” 175lbs.
    Got much better mileage from KBO Hurricane at 1/3 the price.

      Similar results for me. I’m the same weight and getting 12-15 miles range in automatic power mode. Nice looking bike, but disappointed with the mileage compared to advertised range.

    Just flip that stem around on the drop bars. Slight bit more comfort.

    I get the concept, but I don`t get the price. For +3000$ there has to be a Fazua mid drive mounted. A 250Wh battery combined with a hubmotor at 3200$, that makes no sence at all. For this small battery you really need an efficent motor and hubmotors aren't that efficent, they're just cheap and thats the big point at this bike. The frame looks really good but when you see the Giant branded but still cheap motor, the small battery and these the cheap tyres - the tyres, who the hell uses Kenda tyres on a +3000$ bike!? There are x brands that stand for good tyres, but not Kenda. Schwalbe, Maxis, Vittoria, Continentals etc, etc. with a high punctrure protection should be the standard in this price class. Just anything, but not Kenda - the kings of cheapness. The concept is not consequent when you try to position a brand in a specific region of the market. Even if you're mother company is Giant. The E+ 3 makes way more sence. It's 2400$ for the nice frame and good parts. 3200$ just for the Shimano GRX groupset and a motor with less torque, thats questionable. And there is another point, E+ 3s Microshift Advent groupset isn't that much cheaper then the E+ 1s GRX groupset. It's more or less equal in pricing. So where comes the price from?

    Kinda weird ebike bc the performance of 25 nm just makes up for the higher weight of the bike. Also 3.2 k for a hub drive ebike is a hefty price. I mean its not exactly a Stromer. I wonder who buys such a bike? ☮️

      It's neat to see ebikes reaching new niches. Gravel bikes can be a lot of fun, but some trails get steep and it can become exhausting. I can see how a little motor could help, and I appreciate how they aimed to keep it relatively light and "bike like" vs. some of the more powerful but much heavier options. I'm a light person, so light bikes are my personal preference :)

      It's the weight for me, this one speaks to me because I have to carry it up and down steps so being light is really important. Also storing it in my house it helps that it's pretty :)

    I was planning on getting a Topstone Neo SL2 then I saw this. Will 42mm tires fit the Voya? What level GRX ? Belt drive as an upgrade is very attractive. Will be using for long distance bikepacking.

    What bike would you recommend as the best all round electric under $10,000??

  • @rohanb79

    looks like its price has come down to $2600, at this price I expect a handle bar mounted bike computer screen for controls, and headlight and frame mounted tail lights.. at $3200 it was severely overpriced and still is IMHO. It comes within shooting range of a real motorcycle.

    Why would someone mount derailleur with clutch on road bike ? Such a waste of money

    • @ElectricBikeReview
      @ElectricBikeReview  2 роки тому +4

      This is a gravel bike that’s designed to handle light trails, along with paved streets. The handlebars are more flared and the tires are knobby with higher air volume (a bit wider) to improve stability and traction. Whether the clutch is used or not, it’s a higher end derailleur that should weigh less and be more reliable over time.

    Overpriced. I could get a mid drive with double the battery at that price...

    • @y0utuberculosis
      @y0utuberculosis 2 роки тому

      Sure, but it wouldn't be as pretty, or light, and it might be from some no name brand that could disappear next week.

    Minimalist bike at maximum price. Poor value.
