It could have also been cuz Warbucks was starting to fall in love with Grace n probably only have eyes for her. And the fact Grace was probably the one that told him everything that was going on in the orphanage. If it weren't for all that n the boos, who knows what would have happened. Maybe she was a little hurt n maybe a little fell for him, it's not nice to be rejected.
